California Democrats want businesses to
give half their tax-cut savings to state

San Francisco Chronicle, by Melody Gutierrez

Original Article

California lawmakers are targeting the expected windfall companies in the state would see under the federal tax overhaul with a bill that would require businesses to turn over half to the state. A proposed Assembly Constitutional Amendment by Assemblymen Kevin McCarty, D -Sacramento and Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, would create a tax surcharge on California companies making more than $1 million so that half of their federal tax cut would instead go to programs that benefit low-income and middle class families.

The California state legislature appears to be determined to make California businesses noncompetitive or drive them out of the state in order to be competitive.

These proposals are insane and self-destructive!

California Democrats are in the process of running all productive enterprise out of the state. Within a generation Texas (or even Florida, unless those state turn sharply leftward) will surpass California in population as overtaxed, overregulated Californians flee what was once the greatest state in the Union. Democrats destroy.

I thought that the California big wigs had a deal for the rich Californians to "donate" their tax cut to the state in return for a federal tax deduction (charitable deduction).

I guess when they asked the rich Hollywood Democrat elite, they learned what their idea of charity is ... to get their "fans" to donate to their charities.

Remember when they did "Feed the World" a couple decades back? I guess "Feed the California Bureaucrats" doesn´t have the same catchy ring to it.
