Democrats are threatening to hold national security hostage, potentially costing the economy billions and forcing hundreds of thousands of federal government employees to go without pay in exchange for securing legal protections for 800,000 illegal immigrants.Congress has three days to strike a deal to keep the government funded through October. If members fail to come to an agreement by Jan. 19, all “non-essential” government employees and active U.S. Military personnel will be working with out pay (including troops currently deployed). Funding for agencies like federal museums or national parks will also be cut off.Congressional Democrats are apparently content with allowing

I laughingly remember many many years ago when we were threatened with not being paid for the same reason. Oddly enough we all had to go to work anyway AND the Credit Union announced they would be adding our regular paychecks to our accounts anyway.

It may be 800,000 illegals but when you add in chain migration, it´s more like 4,000,000 plus...all future demonrats who want to suck off the taxpayer. I say shut the goobermint down if libtards don´t want to play ball. Social Security and all those other entitlement programs will still get money, non-essential employees will get a paid vacation, etc. The only thing that´ll happen is federal monuments and areas will be shut down. Big deal.

When they shut down the National Monuments and National Parks this time I´ll bet this time they don´t have armed men corralling tourists on to buses.

Remember that happening last time?
They even had barriers put up on highways trying to block any view of Mt. Rushmore.

Obama sent armed guards to keep US citizens off our own property the last time the government "shut down."

Something tells me Trump has a few tricks in his Bag! He isn´t going to let the Military go without pay! He relishes the Democrats running on protecting DACA! The MAJORITY of Americans do NOT want more ILLEGALS on Welfare. Taxpayers are sick and tired of supporting able bodied people. Bring in people from other countries who have employment waiting for them. It´s a losing proposition for Democrats. BRING IT!

President Trump needs to make an Oval Office address to the nation about all of this, naming names. He should also rent a large arena somewhere to make his state of the union address to the people instead of the clown acts in the house and senate.

An agenda not to improve our country like Trump wants to, but to open our boarders and bring in and support illegals. Democrats are sick freakin hypocrites. The Chicago Park District on Wednesday approved pushing ahead to turn parts of Cornell Drive into parkland — with the closure of roads in Jackson Park a sizzling community controversy related to the development of the Obama Presidential Center — and still facing multiple reviews. The board voted unanimously Wednesday to start negotiations to swap 6 acres it owns in Jackson Park at the edges of streets for 8 acres of roads — not all contiguous — the city of Chicago holds in the same park. The sterile language of the legislation doesn’t tell the whole story. President Trump was right to demand Wednesday that new immigration legislation provide at least $25 billion to secure our southern border, end chain migration that allows legal immigrants to bring their extended families to the U.S., and end a diversity lottery system that gives preferential treatment to immigrants from nations that send few people to America. The Republican proposal before the Senate that the president endorsed would also grant legal status to some 1.8 million immigrants who were largely brought to the U.S. illegally as children. While it is natural to sympathize with these young people, that sympathy must be balanced

The rash of school shootings in the United States over the past two decades has nothing to do with the availability of firearms to youths, as the gun-grabbers claim. American youngsters have always had access to firearms. In fact, in decades previous, guns were much easier to purchase. So, in looking for causes, it makes sense to examine other factors – for instance, the fame bestowed upon shooters by overboard media coverage of their misdeeds.
