Romney takes swipe at Trump
over ´s---hole´ comments, race relations

Fox News, by Bernini Chakraborty

Original Article

Posted By:tisHimself, 1/15/2018 6:13:05 PM

Mitt Romney took a swipe at Donald Trump on Monday, condemning the crude comments the president was said to have made about Haiti and African countries -- calling them “inconsistent (with) America’s history and antithetical to American values” with a reference to Martin Luther King, Jr. The poverty of an aspiring immigrant’s nation of origin is as irrelevant as their race,” Romney tweeted. “The sentiment attributed to POTUS is inconsistent w/America’s history and antithetical to American values. May our memory of Dr. King buoy our hope for unity, greatness, & ‘charity for all.’”

Why shouldn´t we insist on the best? That´s the problem with "politicians". It took a political outsider to ask what now seems like an obvious question.

I had great hopes for Romney and was a strong supporter in 2012. He turned out to be a ´lightweight´ performer and not a strong Republican and not even a Conservative light.

He should run as a ´JFK´ Democrat.

Hey Mitt you might want to expand your news circle of influence beyond CNN and NBC. You might hear there are disputed accounts of what was said in that meeting.

If this is the best you can do I suggest you rethink running for Hatch´s Senate seat.

Romney knows the truth. But like any faithful d´rat, he wants to ´fly´ with the lies above it all. Apparently he thinks that will make him ´look better´ or more ´ethical´ somehow. If there was any doubt ...now we all know. Romney is just another s---rat with an R after his name. This should make McConnell want to spend another million to help him keep ´filling the swamp´ where some of the creatures are retiring.

I lived in the Dominican Republic in 1981. It was a hell hole then and has only gotten worse. It had a problem with illegal immigration from its next door neighbor Haiti. Haiti has gotten exponentially worse due to the earthquake. People don´t typically flee paradise. People do need to make their own countries better. Often I wonder if fighting is foreign war isn´t better then taking in millions of their people as refugees.

Romney is booster of global tyrants, encourages them to continue corruption and abuse of their citizens since US taxpayers will always be forced to take them in. Romney is the exact opposite of a decent, honest person. He´s very lucky he´s not in jail for running a $1 billion fraud in 2012. His son freely stated in Boston Globe and elsewhere that Romney had no interest in the job of pres., hated the whole idea of running, would´ve dropped out if he could have. Romney is a standard Sabotage Republican: to prevent us from getting the candidate we need and to constantly demean Republican voters. Romney, the GOP E, and the Democrat Party stand for exactly the same things: extreme globalism, open borders, endless foreign wars paid for by US taxpayers, massive free trade deals, and that the US is merely an ´idea,´ represents no geography, therefore US taxpayers are global slaves. Republican voters, half the electorate, still have no political party behind them.

Like saying one thing one day and retracting it before the day is out? Doesn´t lie? Come on, no one it that naive. He´s lying right now because he loves the pious ´high´ road and the press is encouraging this tool, till they tear the dope apart.

As far as cursing, no one knows what off the record tapes are hidden in leftist drawers, and if cursing is the new standard for holding office, every democrat I´ve known will have to leave.

I suppose if you need a lightweight, ´professional´ politician who is very rich and looks like a 1958 movie version of a President, Mittens is your man. Plus it will help him get his own PLANET after he dies according to his made in Palmyra, NY religion.

After time, there are certain adjectives that come to mind when national figures take it upon themselves to repeatedly criticize President Trump, adjectives such as arrogant, haughty, lofty, pompous, pretentious, and snobby. A Proverb also comes to mind, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)

Referencing America’s history being “inconsistent and antithetical,” it would be wise to consider the words of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower: “Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him.”

Republican Senate candidate Mitt Romney called on the Trump administration Monday to stop separating immigrant families at the southern border, calling the controversy a “humanitarian crisis” that requires Congress to devise a permanent solution. Romney, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee, declined to blame President Trump or the Department of Homeland Security specifically in remarks to a group of voters at a park here. He called images of children separated from their parents “pretty disturbing” and “heartbreaking.” “I think immediately we should go back to the setting where we’re not ripping children away from their parents, and then we expect Congress to take

Conservatives tend to be skeptical of joining great political movements because they tend to be skeptical of both politics and movements that are great. They prefer the little platoon, the shire, which they know to be safe—or at least probably safer than what lies beyond. Not all politics may be local, but all politics that isn’t local tends toward the totalitarian, however far short of it it may actually fall. That sounds almost like a philosophy of government—though not a government that any American alive today has experienced. But times can change, and they have with the election of Donald Trump.

How many divisions does the Deep State have? During the so-called McCarthy era, a single question cut across all partisan and philosophical lines: Were you on Senator Joe McCarthy’s side or not? McCarthy’s conspiratorial, bullying, blunderbuss anti-Communism and “red-baiting” was either defensible or it wasn’t. Remarkably, for many on the right, the question of whether you were “with” McCarthy almost completely crowded out the question of whether or not you were right-wing or left-wing, Democrat or Republican, or even where you stood on the question of Communism itself. The pressing issue was whether McCarthy went too far

(Coronatus means "crowned.") The tiny, disc-shaped animal was about a 1/2 inch long, with raised spiral grooves on its surface. It spent its entire life embedded on the ocean floor, likely never moving, according to scientists from the University of California – Riverside. A second small animal, an egg-shaped critter that may have looked like a raisin, was also discovered.

Michelle Obama joined her fellow former first lady Laura Bush Monday in criticizing the hard-line Trump administration immigration policy that has led to families being separated at the border. Bush, the wife of former President George W. Bush, penned a tweet over the weekend in which she echoed the widespread condemnation of the new directive from Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “I live in a border state,” Bush said. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Quoting that tweet, Obama wrote that “sometimes truth transcends

Hillary Clinton weighed in Monday morning on the ongoing controversy regarding the Trump administration’s "no-tolerance” border policy, suggesting that Jesus would not condone the actions of the American border authorities. At an awards lunch for the Women’s Forum of New York, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee called out “those who selectively use the Bible” to give grounds for the separations, which were reported by the Department of Justice on Friday. “I went to a lot of years of Sunday school — even taught it from time to time. I’ve studied both the Old and New Testament, and what is being

LANSING — The unprecedented outpouring of activism from students after the shooting at Marjorie Douglas Stoneman High School in Parkland, Fla., in February is the genesis for a bill introduced in the Legislature last week that would change the voting age in Michigan to 16. "We allow 16-year-olds to go off and get jobs and pay taxes, but we fail to allow them to exercise their voice come election time," said Sen. David Knezek, D-Dearborn Heights. "Young people are setting aside their differences and identifying issues they think need to change. And they can do everything to get that change

Illegal Immigration: The latest outrage by the Trump administration is its policy of "ripping" children away from parents who´ve crossed the border illegally. As with so many other things involving Trump, there´s plenty of emotion but precious little in the way of facts. The furor reached critical mass after the Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that 1,995 children had been separated from their illegal border crossing parents from mid-April through May. That number included, DHS said, cases where the adults were arrested for illegal entry, immigration violations, or possible criminal conduct. The practice has generated a rising storm of protests,

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow

FBI Director Wray has said nothing to reassure Americans that he understands the serious corruption highlighted in the IG report. The FBI´s cover-ups and stonewalling on Wray´s watch add to his credibility problems. Both in is his press conference after the IG report was released, and in his testimony Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Director Wray demonstrated he was more concerned about protecting the reputation of the institution of the FBI than about the astonishing corruption of top FBI officials detailed in the IG report. During today’s hearing we heard about FBI agents who aren’t corrupt and how the Clinton email

Starbucks shares fell as much as 3% in after-hours trading Tuesday after the coffeehouse chain provided a weak sales forecast for its upcoming quarter and said it would shutter 150 stores in fiscal 2019. The Seattle-based company said it would close underperforming stores in “densely penetrated markets” and slow its rate of store growth. Starbucks said it traditionally closes about 50 underperforming locations annually. Starbucks said it expects same-store sales to grow 1% in its third fiscal quarter of 2017. Analysts had expected same-store sales to grow 3% in that period. “While certain demand headwinds are transitory, and some of

Monday at a border patrol facility in McAllen, TX on “CBS This Morning,” co-host Gayle King said the Statue of Liberty is “weeping right now” over the separating of immigrant children from their families. King said “We arrived yesterday afternoon. We went straight to the facility, the location where kids and their parents were reunited. All I can say after talking to the people, watching the people, listening to the people, that the Statue of Liberty I think is weeping right now. It’s unbelievable the stories we’ve heard.” She added, “We’re standing in front of a converted warehouse. This is
