This is the elite band of brothers, including Prince Harry, that were sent on a top secret mission to take on the Taliban in one of the most dangerous areas of Afghanistan. Last week, The Mail on Sunday revealed how one of the courageous soldiers pictured here, Warrant Officer Nathan Hunt, is believed to have tragically killed himself after struggling to cope with the effects of battlefield trauma. Since then two more members of Harry’s desert reconnaissance unit have come forward to say they too have suffered serious mental health issues as a direct result of their harrowing experiences in the war

Many of us mock him for being just a bit feckless, but until the idiots in the media outed him, he was serving with distinction in some of the most dangerous areas of Afghanistan.
IIRC, his unit was responsible for dealing with some of the worst terrorists over there too. Having the target put on him by the media made him a high value target. Sorry that his military career had to end.
But far as I am concerned, with the exception of his uncle Andrew who was in the Falklands conflict, he is the only one of the royals who has any real skin in the game.

#1 True but the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip, served with distinction in WWII. Phillip is a far more interesting man than most people know and his mother, Princess Alice, was one the most fascinating, in my book, of the 20th century.

I´m not as fond of Harry as I used to be. His snub of our President not being invited to the Royal wedding is a bit much to take. Is this what we are to expect from Harry and his bride? Pity.

Two soldiers have died after a helicopter crashed during training at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. The devastating crash took place on Friday night and marks the fourth aviation accident this week, killing a total of seven soldiers. The frequent accidents has spurred concern among lawmakers over the lack of air fleet funding. The names of the soldiers will be released 24 hours after their loved ones receive notice. The victims were members of the 101st Airborne division and were flying in an Army AH-64E Apache helicopter, according to Fox News. The crew was undergoing ´routine training´ at the time of the incident.

THE ROYAL Navy has opened its first overseas base in 50 years, a move which is being hailed as a “big deal” and proof a “Global Britain” is ready to have its say on international affairs. The new Gulf base, the first permanent base opened since the 1970s, is a huge symbolic coup for Prime Minister Theresa May, who has frequently pledging to help create a ‘Global Britain’ once the country leaves the EU. Mrs May has frequently highlighted Brexit as an opportunity for Britain to grow and increase its global influence, rather than remain stagnant in the EU’s increasingly insular

They’re not happy in Gaza – they’re not happy anywhere, these people -- so give Germany a chance. Send them to Merkel. She wants them. She can have them. She’s already brought in millions of their kind into her own country, so what’s a few million more? This should be a voluntary operation. Some billionaire needs to come up with the cash that pays them to leave and never come back. If they keep acting like savages, as when they keep rioting to breach Israel’s borders (then go crying about being mistreated), all bets are off so far as voluntary. This should have been

Senator Edward Kennedy, one of the most famous members of America’s most famous family, understood that he belonged as much to popular culture as to political culture. Now, nine years after his death, comes a movie about the event that, almost as much as the circumstances of his birth, established him in the tabloid pantheon: Chappaquiddick. The film, by the same name, opened Friday and retells the story of an accident in July 1969, on the titular Massachusetts island near Martha’s Vineyard, in which Mr. Kennedy drove off a bridge, killing his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker for his

Something about this past election seems to have driven Hillary Clinton off the edge. She´s been last seen reminiscing about an "alternative reality" in which she could´ve, would´ve, should´ve. been elected president at a friendly women´s club in Manhattan. According to the Daily Mirror: Hillary Clinton thinks she deserves credit for “accelerating” the #MeToo movement through her humiliating loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton visited the women-only club “The Wing” in New York City Tuesday to relive the election and offer excuses for her defeat, the latest stop in a years long tour to explain “What

Former first lady Michelle Obama likened her husband´s presidency to having "the good parent" at home at a women´s leadership conference on Thursday. At the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston, Obama appeared to take shots at President Trump´s administration in remarks first reported by local TV station WBZ. The Obama administration “was like having the ‘good parent’ at home," the former first lady said. "The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time." “And now we have the other parent,” Obama added. “We thought it’d feel fun — maybe it feels

Chris Wallace said Friday that President Trump is engaged in an "unprecedented attack" on the mainstream media, something he has found particularly "distressing." The "Fox News Sunday" anchor pointed to a joint news conference this week with leaders from three Baltic states, where Trump told the Latvian president not to call on a member of the U.S. "fake news." "It´s a different thing when it´s on the international stage. I´ve never heard a president bash the media when he´s dealing with foreign leaders," Wallace said. Conversely, Wallace believes there has been bias toward Trump among some members of the mainstream media and

Dr. Jarrod Whitaker specializes in South Asian religions at the North Carolina school and also allegedly asserted that belief in an objective truth “is the most tremendous evil that is responsible for all the great suffering in the world,” reported The Wake Forest Review. The professor would perpetually “explain why Christian theology is problematic, racist, sexist, imperialist, and fundamentally evil,” Whitaker’s Catholic student John told the Review, who kept his identity concealed. “His point was specifically that Christianity

Ciudad Juárez (Mexico) - President Donald Trump´s orders to deploy thousands of National Guard troops to secure the US frontier with Mexico did not stop one determined migrant from hopping the border wall on Friday. With the help of three other men -- two to give him a boost and one to stand as a lookout -- the young man jumped the rusty metal barrier that separates Ciudad Juarez from Sunland Park, New Mexico. The whole operation took less than two minutes. "He couldn´t get over! He was taking forever," said one of the men who helped him, telling AFP

Nearly 50 years after Senator Ted Kennedy left a young woman to die in a shallow pond — and America went on to reward him with a lifelong career in the US Senate — we are finally beginning to reckon with the Kennedy myth. But only just. The new film “Chappaquiddick” is, to date, the most brutal and honest account of what happened that night. But it’s also something else: an indictment of our collective hero worship at the altar of Brand Kennedy, which bred so much corrosive entitlement that surviving brother Ted, the family beta male, went home to sleep

Tragically, predictably, infuriatingly, we’re again mourning a shooting — this time at YouTube’s headquarters — even as the drive for gun safety legislation has stalled in Washington. Polls show that nine out of 10 Americans favor basic steps like universal background checks before gun purchases, but the exceptions are the president and a majority in Congress. Usually pundits toss out their own best arguments while ignoring the other side’s, but today I’m going to try something new and engage directly with the arguments made by gun advocates: You liberals are in a panic over guns, but look at the numbers.
