Bundy Morning Quarterbacking
Steyn Online, by Mark Steyn

Lost in the tumbling headlines of a busy week was a ruling that reminds us the corruption of federal justice is not confined merely to a few politicized bureaucrats monkeying around in the Hillary and Trump investigations. On Monday, US District Court Judge Gloria Navarro dismissed with prejudice (against the Justice Department) all charges against Cliven Bundy and his sons. If you´ve forgotten the Bundys´ stand-off with the Feds in Nevada, here´s how National Review´s David French summarizes it: On one side was a collection of dangerous, out-of-control armed men who were deliberately provocative, prone to saying unhinged things in a

Comments:
Such a horrifying case. As Mark Steyn points out, for government agencies to have their own (armed) law enforcement is something not found in any other civilized country. I wish Trump would take notice of it.

BLM must be demilitarized- they have proven they’re not trustworthy.
Bundys, Hammonds and murdererd Levoy Finicum are the most public victims.
Is there uranium under rancher Hammonds Land?
Feds forced them to sign over their land if they decide to sell- WHY? How is this legal?
Western land should be opened up to public for settlement-USE.
Why not new Homestead ACT?
WHy was Dan Love fired and not prosecuted?
Who else supported him?
Radical environmentalists are behind much of this lawlessness- as well as GHWB Agenda 21 for globalists.
Thank God for President Trump.

A very large problem is that this kind of action is far too common with the US government agencies. They seem to find the use of force far too easy rather than working through and understanding a problem.

Corruption was the name of the game in all these attempted land grabs. Reid was involved in the one in Nevada, and the BLM tried to steal the Hammonds property in Oregon.

I noticed that the Feds backed off though when armed ranchers came to the rescue and backed up the targeted victims. Forget about the South rising again, they can stand in line behind the Western cowboys.

In this excellent and comprehensive article, Mr. Steyn questions why out of control low-level "pen pushers" at countless federal bureaus have taken it upon themselves the right to order "occupational forces", that include snipers, to harass private citizens.

Mr. Steyn also addresses other issues including asking why the federal government owns 80% of Nevada land.

Thank you, OP, for posting.

To put it bluntly, the BLM were scared sh*ytless. They were facing law abiding armed civilians who were there to ensure the Bundys were not slaughter like the folks at Waco.

The courts confirmed the evil that is at the BLM currently. President Trump needs to disarm every Federal Agency that does not have a military mission. We have the National Guard and our wonderful military to provide enforcement if the situation warrants it.

SAN DIEGO — Recent assaults by tactical teams on prototypes of President Donald Trump’s proposed wall with Mexico indicate their imposing heights should stop border crossers, a U.S. official with direct knowledge of the rigorous assessment told The Associated Press. Military special forces based in Florida and U.S. Customs and Border Protection special units spent three weeks trying to breach and scale the eight models in San Diego, using jackhammers, saws, torches and other tools and climbing devices, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the information was not authorized for public release. Twenty years ago, no one had heard of either Facebook or Google, neither of which existed yet. For that matter, no one knew much about social media or search engines in general. Cellphones were still simply mobile, small and expensive telephones. There was no concept of a phone as a handheld computer. Today, five companies -- Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Alphabet (Google´s parent company) -- have a collective worth of more than $3 trillion. Yet such transnational companies remain mostly exempt from the sort of regulations and accountability faced by most other industries. Major corporations understandably fear product liability laws. It was supposed to be the worst of times: an age of foolishness, a season of darkness, and a winter of despair. According to the experts, the presidency of Donald J. Trump would “cause the stock market to crash and plunge the world into recession,” threaten “the planet’s health and safety,” bring “fascism” to America, and maybe even “get us all killed.” “In terms of our liberal democracy and constitutional order,” Andrew Sullivan announced in New York magazine, “Trump is an extinction-level event.” Paul Krugman warned his New York Times readers that America would soon turn into “Trumpistan,” with Trump

And what if such a mythical CNN hated Franklin Delano Roosevelt as much as it despises Donald Trump, then as right-wing as it is now hard left? How would the daily news in a mythical 1945 treat a now-iconic FDR? What would the country have thought of its president? A recent trend in many states is to outlaw "conversion therapy," where people who are unhappy with homosexual inclinations go through therapy to dispense with those inclinations. Even though the process is voluntary, liberal states cannot tolerate the idea of someone with same-sex attractions wanting help to get rid of them. In the U.S., state governments are beginning to outlaw conversion therapy in growing numbers. California became the first to do so in 2012. Eight other states have banned it in some form since. In 2017 alone, Nevada, New Mexico, and Connecticut have signed their own bans into law. Now

They often employ the same superlative nomenclature: “all-stars,” “dream-team,” “army,” and “professionals.” The hagiographies list the legal CVs of various lawyers and investigators now employed (usually on loan either from the FBI, Obama or Trump Justice Departments, or prestigious East Coast firms). The reviews often hint that such “firepower” may mean a one-sided legal bloodbath ahead. The mere names spell “very, very bad news” for the White House. Yet the Mueller legal team’s dossiers also
