Rwandan refugee in Knoxville hurt
but ´not surprised´ by Trump comments

Olivier Muhire came to the United States 15 years ago, fleeing the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide that tore apart his home country and made daily living dangerous. Today, he pinches himself every time he´s driving because he´s so grateful to have a car, something that was rare in Rwanda, where he said he would typically go five or six months without even riding in one. He works as a school resource coordinator for a local non-profit, advocating for schools and trying to bring outside resources in to help students, and has spent time volunteering.

I agree with OP entirely.

Trump denies saying it, and Sen Cotton, who was present, supports him. I trust Trump and Cotton far, far more than the others.

IMO, even if he did say it, so what? It is factual, if a bit unpolite to say publicly. But he didn´t say it publicly, an likely didn´t say it at all. Frankly, I have used the term many times in private conversations.

The two liars who claim he did say it are extremist amnesty, open borders jerks, desperate to try to gain some political advantage in a losing situation. Very likely lying purely for political gain.

Durbin is entirely ethics free, he would literally say anything to gain a political advantage, any time, any topic, and Graham is very close to as entirely ethics free. Neither is EVER a reliable source.

The press, their feelings all a twitter, go out in search of the lone refugee from a genuine crap country who´s been butt hurt by the words the President may or may not have said. Finding one, they rejoice, dancing among themselves, having no idea how pathetic it looks to the majority of Americans who completely agree with what the President may or may not have said. Fake news indeed.

DHS Secretary Kirsten: Have a look.

He should be back in his home country, helping his fellow Rwandans.

(hit submit too soon)

FTA:

"When he said ´(expletive) countries,´ he offended me because I still have family over there who are struggling," said Muhire, 29. "But I don’t look down on them. It´s like, I don’t want to bring you down while you’re already down."

Muhire grew up in Rwanda and immigrated to the United States at age 13. Even years after the genocide ended, he said life in Rwanda wasn´t safe. People tried to kill his family. His grandfather disappeared and he still doesn´t know what happened to him.

OK with his family being there. But he’s happier here, driving a fine ‘chine. A real social justice warrior. Charitable as all get out...

Looks like the immigrant featured in the article successfully escaped from a “S**thole” country. While a percentage of such immigrants are bound to succeed in the USA, the problem is with the big majority who do not and while working in low paying jobs and living in unassimilated immigrant communities remain on social welfare benefits and services to survive in the USA. It’s crazy for the USA to keep allowing masses of poor and uneducated immigrants into the USA who will have a very limited opportunity to succeed in a modern society where advancement depends in a great part upon education and skills, instead to reforming the immigration system to give preference to educated and highly skilled immigrants who are bound to assimilate and succeed in America. The Democrats and foreign countries don’t want such changes to America’s immigration laws, as the Democrats want the vast majority of immigrants to remain poor and uneducated people dependent upon social welfare benefits and services to eventually become socialist oriented Democrat voters, and foreign countries do not want their educated and brightest to immigrate to America. The immigration system must change, or by continuing to import mass poverty, the USA will eventually become just one more “S**thole” country.

Okay, I have a few questions for this poor "refugee" that USA Today dug up.

1. Did your parents come with you when you got here at the age of 13, ahead of everyone else in line, because you were a "refugee" from a place where your neighbors were cutting each other´s heads off? If so, where are they now?

2. Are you all still receiving food stamps, Section 8 housing, SSDI and all the other help you´ve been getting for years?

3. What exactly is a "school resource coordinator" and why would you work with public schools if you´re employed by a "non-profit" organization?

4. Who pays you, and how much?

5. Did you go to college? If so, who paid for it?

6. Are you now a citizen of the United States? if not, why not?

USA Today never asked these questions, because I´ll bet they didn´t want to know the answers - it would unmask their poor "refugee" as just another grifter.

Former CIA Director John Brennan continued Tuesday to criticize President Trump’s performance at the Helsinki summit, saying Mr. Trump could have potentially risked intelligence capabilities during his private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the intel community might begin to withhold intelligence from Mr. Trump. In light of Mr. Trump’s comments about the intelligence community, Mr. Brennan said “there very well might be” a shift in the covert community to “withhold vital intelligence” in order to protect that information. “Dan Coats and Gina Haspel need to be on top of their game now and speak truth to power,” he

In a recent interview, however, the upstart politico running in a hyper-liberal district in New York did not show command of the issues. No. But it´s not an unimportant issue, either, and Trump knew the American press is obsessed with it. So he knew it would play a big role in the Trump-Putin post-summit news conference. There are all sorts of aspects to the Trump-Russia affair, but in light of special counsel Robert Mueller´s decision to indict 12 Russian intelligence agents on the Friday before the Monday summit, the president also knew reporters would want to hear him specifically affirm
