"Steve Really Hijacked Breitbart": The Right-Wing
Site´s Staff Confronts a Post-Bannon Landscape

Vanity Fair, by Tina Nguyen

Original Article

The Breitbart Embassy is closed. If anything symbolized the end of an era for the scrappy, youthful crew of Breitbart News, it was the loss of Steve Bannon’s grand Capitol Hill town house. Once the de facto headquarters of Breitbart’s legendary ragers, it had more recently become the decorous nerve center for Bannon’s attempt to do the D.C. power-player thing—fete Washingtonians with Dean & DeLuca canapes and hold them captive with his megalomania. But when Bannon stepped down from Breitbart earlier this week after he seemed unable to outrun the comments he had made about Donald Trump Jr., among other things,

Breitbart is the target of many for its honest, take-no-prisoners reporting.

They were the one breaking the stories about the INVASION taking place on the border while everyone else had their heads in the sand...

The Radio end of things is THRIVING. The reporting is certainly miles ahead and timely while a lot of news sites and agregators put out articles without discussion and analysis.

Bannon may have said things that we insulting to Trump family members who were not elected, and rubbed many the wrong way. He was certainly a THORN in the side of the RINOcrats and DC Establishment who was pretty well OUT OF TOUCH with the pulse of the American conservative base.

With our without Steve, the operation will continue and there are those who do noe want the controversial topics discussed lest they get exposed as frauds.....

With due respect for the Breitbart staff who took over after Andrew died and Bannon´s leadership in that vein, as someone who was "there" when John Nolte first announced a little merger between himself and others at a little blog called Libertas (conservative-in-Hollywood culture) and a dynamic New Media calling itself Big Hollywood, I have to say there is a grain of truth in the title of this piece. There IS an alt-Right: they are the decendents of the John C Calhoun school of ideology (they hate the US Constitution and they scorn conservatives) and because of Bannon, they found a home at Breitbart.

On top of that, Big Hollywood went from being a news site that featured not only the latest cultural movements in Hollywood, but sought out and supported Real Conservative actors/directors/producers who were fighting against the leftist activism of the progressive elites. AND they were seeking out NEW conservative actors/directors/producers that were seeking to find the wedge that would help turn the tide...

...but once Andrew died, it seemed everyone at Breitbart threw that out the window and turned it into a Stand In Line Gossip Rag.

Seriously, as much GOOD as Bannon may have done in his involvement with getting Trump elected (however it is you may want to merit that), Im really looking forward to seeing someone who wants to return Breitbart to the spirit that Andrew established there.

With an eye toward 2020, Sen. Elizabeth Warren yesterday tried to head off the ongoing controversy surrounding her claim of Native American ancestry instead of running from it — the way she did when the Herald first pressed her on the issue in 2012. But let’s be clear — the presidential campaign trail-ready speech she delivered before the National Congress of American Indians contained nothing new. In fact, much of it is straight from her 2012 playbook. “I get why some people think there’s hay to be made here. You won’t find my family members on any rolls, and I’m not

He was later expelled for still-undisclosed disciplinary reasons. The portrait of Nikolas Cruz, suspected of fatally shooting 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland and wounding 15 others at his former school, is a troubled teen with few friends and an obsessive interest in weapons. Administrators considered him enough of a potential threat that one teacher said a warning

You´ve heard the phrase over and over again: "This isn´t normal." We´ve heard it about President Trump´s rhetoric, and his Twitter usage. We´ve heard it about his attacks on the media, and we´ve heard it about his legislative ignorance. We´ve heard it about his running commentary on the Mueller investigation, and we´ve heard it about his bizarre stream-of-consciousness interviews. There´s some truth to all of this. Trump has said some incredibly awful things (e.g. his comments on Charlottesville, Virginia, and Haitians). He´s not a predictable, stable genius. All of this "non-normality," however, has resulted in ... a relatively

Facing large debts that will be partly of his own making, thanks to last week’s spending bill, President Trump must now find sources of funding for his next big priority: the infrastructure bill he has promised. The loudest voices so far among big business and the environmental lobby have argued for more than doubling the federal gas tax. But on Tuesday, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao expressed skepticism, stating that the tax has a “very regressive impact” on low-income citizens and that a gas tax hike “is not ideal.” Chao is right about this, but there’s a stronger argument still against relying

WASHINGTON - California officials and clean air advocates are increasingly concerned the Trump administration may attempt to unravel a key program to drive down greenhouse gas emissions from automobile fleets while also jeopardizing the ability of California and other states to set pollution standards stronger than federal rules. Backed by automakers, Trump officials are in talks with their California counterparts to weaken tough vehicle tailpipe standards approved by the Obama administration. The standards are aimed at reducing greenhouse gases, but could also help reduce emissions that cause smog and particulate

A lot of Americans watching the volleys of memos and the Trump-Russia probe must be asking: Who the heck is Carter Page? You see the former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser in news footage -- smiling when he shouldn´t. His name appears in the infamous dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele on behalf of the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign. A secret warrant to surveil Page, based in part on that dossier, is the subject of the Republican House Intelligence Committee memo declassified last week. News profiles of Page portray him as an incautious mediocrity, choosing to appear

The FISA-gate, Clinton emails, and Uranium One scandals are sort of reaching a consensus. Many things quite wrong and illegal were done by both Hillary Clinton and her entourage and members of the Obama agencies and administration — both the acts themselves and the cover-ups and omissions that ensued. Remember, in the FISA-gate scandal such likely widespread criminal behavior was predicated on two premises: 1) certainty of an easy Clinton victory, after which the miscreants would be not only excused but probably rewarded for their zeal; 2) progressive hubris in which our supposedly moral betters felt it their right,
