Feinstein calls on Trump to close Gitmo
amid legal challenge from 11 prisoners
over ´perpetual detention´

Fox News, by Lukas Mikelionis

Original Article

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Thursday urged President Donald Trump to close the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba. The California Democrat´s request coincided with a lawsuit filed by 11 Guantanamo prisoners, who want the Trump administration to release them. Feinstein, who serves on the Senate´s Judiciary and Intelligence committees, has been fighting against the detention facility since its creation 16 years ago, under President George W. Bush, (Snip) “This prison has cost taxpayers more than $5 billion, and the propaganda value for terrorists has been even greater,” Feinstein said in a statement on the 16th

Comments:
This could be 0bama´s next crusade before he´s locked away with these animals. Hope IS a good thing. Feinstein IS concerned about the cost, but has no problem spending unchecked Billions on welfare for the illegals (criminal element in our prisons) she has allowed and hid within Kalifornia, as well as social welfare programs. Pleeeze!

Don´t worry Senator, we´ll have about 10,000 dimwits occupying quarters and rolling cigars full-time.

ROI is like a bell curve at Gitmo--we´re entering peek season.

Former Education Secretary Arne Duncan said parents should pull their children out of school until Congress passes gun control legislation. "What if no children went to school until gun laws changed to keep them safe?" Duncan tweeted Saturday. Duncan, who served as secretary under President Obama, called the step "tragically necessary." "My family is all in if we can do this at scale. Parents, will you please join us?" he said. Duncan´s plea comes one day after 10 people were killed in a mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas.

The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations.
