Rand Paul: ´We don´t have money to
spend´ for Trump´s border wall

The Hill, by Brett Samuels

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Wednesday that while he supports additional barriers at the U.S.-Mexico border, he believes some of the estimated costs for President Trump’s border wall are too high to justify. "I remain a fiscal conservative, even on the wall, so I’m not excited about spending $20, $30, $40 billion on a wall. I’m still a believer that we don’t have money to spend. We’re $700 billion in the hole,” Paul said on CNN.  “And while I will vote for money for barriers, I’m not voting for $40 billion for barriers,” Paul added.  A report last week detailed Trump’s

I don’t really care about whether little Rand finds it exciting or not. We need the wall. The expense has been justified. And there are still ways to get Mexico and any country to which remittances are wired by their citizens living here to pay for the wall.

Somebody please tell Rand that perhaps they could take the money being spent to take care of the illegals to build the wall.

It is insane that our tax money is being spent for medical care, food and God knows what else to make sure they are comfortable.

So Rand let me tell you how we little people decide what we have money to pay for and what we do not.

First we start with priorities, shelter, water, food, transportation to a job. Then we decide what to do with the left overs, more shelter than essential survival needs, better food, a car vs taking the bus, then we look at even lower priorities, like entertainment.

This shouldn´t come as a shock to you sir but your job is to do the same. The constitution will prove helpful in removing any confusion regarding the priorities. Defense and border security are in that top tier. For example all the federal government has accomplished with the department of education is to make education worse so don´t tell me we can´t afford top priority when we spend billions on things not in the constitutional purview of the federal government.

Here´s a little tidbit to consider; what is one third of the cost of the federal prison system? One third of the inmates are illegal intruders. What´s cheaper a wall or all of the associates costs of not having a wall?

Mr. Paul, I have at times thought of you as a true representative of the people. Perhaps I was wrong, way wrong.

If you add up all the decentralized government benefits at all levels being paid out, the government law enforcement costs to deal with the massive illegal alien population, and all the illicit drugs that illegal aliens in the employ of the international cartels are smuggling into and are transporting across the country, the total clearly exceeds $40 billion every year. So even if an effective borderline barrier will look to be expensive at the front end, once completed, the country will no longer have to pay out tens of billions of dollars each year to millions of illegal aliens and for all levels of government to deal with them.

We don´t need an literal, continuous, impractical "Wall" (see China). What we do need are sections of barriers, with surveillance, and armed reinforcements to handle the problem.

If memory serves, it was funded way back in 1986 but democrats would not follow through. Then there are all the other many ideas that come to mind for funding, like cutting back on spending, cutting foreign aid to Mexico, installing serious fees for all wire transfers to locations south of our border, etc.

Plenty of ways to fund the border Sparky Paul, and you just better get used to the fact that you aren´t going to get your amnesty. The nation´s voters have spoken when they elected Trump, not YOU.

Europe needs more mass migration from the Global South because it “enriches our cultures and societies”, according to Leo Varadkar, who announced he will import more asylum seekers to Ireland after meeting Hillary Clinton. Speaking days after a meeting with senior EU figures in Dublin, the globalist taoiseach (prime minister) committed to resettling a greater number of illegal immigrants stuck in Greece and Italy in Ireland than the batch of 4,000 already agreed. According to the Irish Independent, he said the gesture is about “solidarity and burden-sharing”, and as a way of repaying the support the European

"I am not a unicorn," said Michelle Obama. "There are millions of kids like me out there." Mrs. Obama was discussing her upcoming memoir "Becoming," before a crowd of thousands at the American Library Association conference in New Orleans Friday (June 22). True, she may have been the first African-American first lady, but Obama´s ascent from a working class background to a professional career in Chicago and eventually the White House is a path that any American should be able to aspire to, she said. Unfortunately, "in this country we´ve gotten to a point where we kind of think there are only

A Canadian television comedy writer was forced to apologize this week after he appeared to threaten Donald Trump Jr.’s 4-year-old daughter on Twitter. “Don’t worry, we’re coming for Chloe, too,” Pat Dussault tweeted Wednesday morning to the president’s eldest son. The tweet was deleted, but not before actor James Woods snapped a screenshot and notified the Secret Service. Mr. Trump Jr. retweeted both of Mr. James’ messages condemning Mr. Dussault. (Tweets) Mr. Dussault later posted an apology to Twitter, saying he let his emotions concerning President Trump’s zero tolerance immigration policy get the better of him. “I sincerely apologize to Donald Trump Jr.

Time magazine has issued a correction to a controversial cover story about a Honduran migrant girl who they said was taken from her mother by US border patrol agents after it was revealed that the pair were never separated at all. Three-year-old Yanela Denise became the unintentional face of the now defunct family separation crisis after photographer John Moore captured her agonized face screaming as her mother was questioned by agents on June 12.
