FBI director, Justice Department
deputy huddle with Paul Ryan
amid contempt of Congress threat

Washington Examiner, by Susan Ferrechio

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/3/2018 6:40:22 PM

The FBI director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein met with House Speaker Paul Ryan late Wednesday afternoon, the same day lawmakers were demanding that they turn over documents to the House Intelligence panel about the Trump-Russia collusion probe. A Ryan spokeswoman declined to discuss the purpose for the meeting other than that it came at the request of Wray and Rosenstein. The meeting comes as the House Intelligence Committee weighs possible contempt of Congress charges against the two officials. Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has accused the men of withholding information about the handling of the Trump-Russia

Comments:
I would have loved to been a fly on the wall during that meeting. Why wasn´t Nunes involved? I don´t trust ANYTHING Rosenstein does. He is responsible for this entire fraudulent special counsel investigation. It never should have happened!!

What part of "deadline" do they not get?
Throw them in jail same as they would do to me or you until we followed the law.

The real question you should ask is, "Why should we trust Ryan?"

It seems obvious to me that the FBI and DOJ mopes were asking Ryan to call off the House committees that were daring to ask for their subpoenas to be obeyed.

If the FBI and DOJ give up the FISA warrant application, a number of people will go to jail. Hence the huddle with Ryan. JMHO

We can endlessly invent scenarios.

i.e. Maybe they tried to blackmail Ryan, maybe they tried to explain why the records can´t be produced, maybe, maybe, blah, blah, blah.

I hope Ryan has a recording of the meeting. Otherwise we may hear differing stories about what happened.

Nunes will lose ALL credibility if he lets them get away with not producing those documents. The red line was laid down. He had better not allow them to skip across, laughing all the way! At that point, nobody will care what any Committee asks them to produce, they will thumb their noses and go their merry way!

I’d put my money on #10’s speculation. It’s going to be all about damage control. What the arrogant jerks don’t understand is that the damage to their reputation is a moot issue. We the people know what they did, what they are capable of, and they will do whatever needs be done to try and redeem themselves. Not buying anything the FBI is selling.

Chances are they want a delay until the DOJ/IG issues his report soon. They are holding back what appears to be a nuclear hot potato also known as the FISA court search warrant application which in all likelihood contains bogus data from the Hillary Clinton paid for so called “dossier”. If that were not so, why has the DOJ/FBI not said so? At some point they will have to release those FISA court records.

If all that is so, and bogus data was presented to the FISA court as predication to obtain a search warrant to spy on the Republican candidate for President, data that was created by foreigners in the employ of the opposing Democrat candidate for President, it will amount to high level political corruption reminiscent of the old banana republics that is not supposed to happen in the USA.

Planned Parenthood is once again proving its hunger for powerful allies in government positions. GOP control of the Senate is narrow, and with the upcoming Senate races, the power balance could tip in favor of Democrat, pro-abortion advocates. This money will be spent on Senate and gubernatorial races in a number of states, including Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and will be used to fund TV and digital ads, direct-mail campaigns, and even advocacy in the public square.
