Ex-Obama Treasury secretary:
Tax cuts ´leaving us broke´

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Naomi Jagoda

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/3/2018 2:17:55 PM

Former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew expressed concerns about the new GOP tax law´s impact on the debt, arguing that it is "leaving us broke" and could lead to cuts in social safety net programs. "I fear that the next shoe to drop is going to be an attack on the most vulnerable in our society," Lew said in a Bloomberg interview. "How are we going to pay for the deficit caused by the tax cut? You´re going to see proposals to cut health insurance from poor people, to take basic food support away from poor people, to attack Medicare and Social

Comments:
You couldn´t even make this up! The utter and complete hypocrisy of this jerk is absolutely shocking. Obama incurred more debt than all presidents combined and Lew says this?? Lew also defended paying off Iran those billions of dollars. Link below. I´m so tired of lying hacks like Lew.

His premise has to be that the current spending has absolutely no waste, duplication or fraud. Were he truly concerned, he would be working to end government waste, but he isn´t so he is only grandstanding.

"How are we going to pay for the deficit caused by the tax cut?" - Former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew

This by a former Secretary of the Treasury... tax cuts don´t cause deficits - excessive spending does. And, Mr. Lew, who is going to pay for the debt incurred while you were in office? The saddest fact is that Lew could be either a Democrat or Republican. Neither party has any credibility when it comes to "balanced budgets" or "spending cuts." It´s only money - and the presses can spin off whatever needed. Exactly what is a dollar worth?

Baloney! If Congress would quit spending our money on waste, we would have a lot more. Obama ran our debt up to trillions of dollars which we don´t have and can never have. Let´s just start with those millions in cash he gave to Iran and the six billion Hillary lost at the State Dept. on her watch, and the millions they used to pay off the women and men that they sexually assaulted. Don´t get me started!

Hey, I have an idea. How about we get rid of millions of criminals who are taking taxpayer money and using American social services? How about we change the rules for those who live on public money for generations?

The problem is not that there is not enough money. There is never enough money for government agencies and their clients. They are like a cancer that just wants to grow and grow using the resources of the host (us).

How about we have fewer poor people, by cutting taxes and creating jobs? That should be the goal... not more poor people.

Naturally, Ubama´s Treasury Secretary would object to sensible economic policy. As others have said, it´s excessive spending--not tax cuts--that is breaking the Nation financially. The unfastidious penman Lew is also known for his signature, which in its natural form is a series of connected loops with no recognizable letters.

The James Comey memos that leaked to the media and were a catalyst for the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller were more widely shared than previously known, three sources familiar with the matter tell Fox News. Sources identified former U.S. Attorney and special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald as the likely recipient, and did not rule out a third individual, in addition to Columbia law professor Daniel Richman, who shared contents with the media. The memos documenting Comey’s private conversations with the president are now the subject of a Justice Department Inspector General review over the presence of classified information. That’s a problem for Republicans, who now need to sort through the results to determine how problematic the landscape will be for them in November.
