The Iranian Regime´s Days

Is it a revolution? Can it succeed? Should we support it, and if so, how? Surely this tumult is very different from the protests of 2009. It’s different in at least two ways, geographical and demographical. Geographically, whereas the 2009 protests were mainly limited to Tehran, today’s phenomenon covers the whole country, from major cities to smaller towns and even rural villages. That’s significant, because those who do not believe in the prospects of an Iranian revolution invariably argue that opposition to the regime is restricted to the elites of the big cities, and that rural populations are pro-regime. It’s difficult to

Comments:
In 2009 Obama prevented the overthrow of the his friends the mullahs; Trump, on the other hand, will grease the skids. May the Lord be with the 80% of Iranians who are inclined to be our friends and freedom´s friends. Squash the 20%.

In early 2010 China aided Iran with anti-riot vehicles and training. That helped put an end to the protests. Now they are running the pro-regime bs, massive protests in favor of Khamanei. Trump is doing the right thing. Moral support and trying to free up social media inside Iran. I agree with our radio services. Clean house at Farda and VOA.

Hope so. If the Iranian mullahs are gone, one of the biggest funding sources for Islamic terrorism will be gone.

GWBush could very easily have afforded the Iranian counter-revolution a gentle nudge to help them succeed, but true to his globalista ways, he did nothing. Obama assisted the Mullah´s per ValJar´s demands, so it is no wonder the Persian people now want revolution and the Trump revolution is the right climate to succeed!

Today the Washington Examiner headlined: “Google refers to Republican senator David Perdue as ‘lying, unscrupulous politician.´” That is certainly eye-catching! Where did Google say this? In the box that shows up on the right side of the page when you search on Perdue’s name, as I wrote about here. (Snip) That’s pretty horrific. If Google has any sense–and someone there must–they are unhappy about it. What happened? I think the answer is that the text in the “knowledge graph,” as Google apparently calls it, comes from the Wikipedia page on the subject of the search. Wikipedia entries can be edited by

The Department of Justice said today that it will ask the Supreme Court to review immediately the ruling of a California federal judge (William Alsup) ordering the government to restart the DACA program. Normally, the appeal from that ruling would be heard by the ultra-liberal U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. However, the DOJ seeks to proceed directly to the Supreme Court. As long-time Supreme Court reporter Lyle Denniston explains, the Supreme Court has the discretion to hear a case even before it has gone through all of the lower court levels. However, it rarely exercises that discretion. The

I began the Laura Ingraham radio show this morning by playing, and commenting on, clips from yesterday’s press briefing by Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, the Navy doctor who gave President Trump his physical exam. Dr. Jackson noted that he had given the president a cognitive test, at Trump’s insistence, even though Jackson saw no need for it. The president scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the cognition test. This was, of course, what the slavering hounds of the White House press corps wanted to talk about. Here are the clips, courtesy of Grabien. This reporter wanted to know about

WASHINGTON -- Senate Republican leaders indicated today that they´re trying to forge a deal acceptable to the White House to save the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, but that they´re not quite sure what the president wants to see. Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) met today with Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). The same group of negotiators plans on sitting down again Thursday. "We all want to get to a solution here," Cornyn told reporters outside of a closed policy luncheon on Capitol Hill. "But the

Why did received opinion melt down so spectacularly when Donald Trump allegedly said in private that he wanted more immigrants from places like “Norway and Asia” and fewer from places like Haiti and Africa? Last Thursday, Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) scheduled a meeting with the president to try to trick him into supporting their politically suicidal immigration bill. To their dismay, however, when they arrived they found that Trump had also invited realist immigration experts such as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), and the president’s speechwriter Stephen Miller. In the ensuing debate, Durbin and Graham

Three-quarters of the members of a federally chartered board advising the National Park Service abruptly quit Monday night out of frustration that Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke had refused to meet with them or convene a single meeting last year. The resignation of nine out of 12 National Park System Advisory Board members leaves the federal government without a functioning body to designate national historic or natural landmarks. It also underscores the extent to which federal advisory bodies have become marginalized under the Trump administration. In May 2017, Zinke suspended all outside committees while his staff reviewed their composition and work. In a

By the grace of God, and thanks to our robust and decentralized system of government, the U.S. has survived nearly a year with an unprepared, underinformed, incurious, incontinent narcissist as president. In fact, in some regards, we’ve even thrived during this past year. Still, the president’s character — mostly his colossal self-regard, his lack of self-control, and his unwillingness or inability to learn what he ought — made the year at times aggravating, terrifying, and certainly divisive. Trump hasn’t brought on any catastrophes yet, but he has frayed the nerves of his country. And there’s still three more years of this. I’m sure
