Tomorrow, January 3rd, is the deadline presented by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes for the FBI to turn over responsive documents, their field agent investigative notes and contact summaries. The FBI Counterintelligence Division began an official investigation on/around July 15th, 2016. The target of the investigation was the Donald Trump campaign. The FBI has refused to answer questions or allow investigative oversight toward the origin of their endeavor. Numerous leaks from the FBI imply the leadership is attempting to shape the narrative surrounding the origin. Suspicions are high.
Comments: Katie Pavlich’s headline (see MRs) had it wrong. The deadline in Nunes’s letter was January 3. That’s tomorrow. We should take each day at a time lest we waste a lot of energy on erroneous reports of incorrect deadlines and unnecessary rants. The necessary ones are bad enough!
That said, this article contains a video of an interview with Ron DeSantis on Fox. He is always worth a look/listen.
#1 has the most likely outcome or they will show up and everything important is redacted. Same result. What will come of it? A strongly worded letter = nothing! These DOJ/FBI seditionists aren’t worried about Congress they have the protection of the swamp.
I doubt they´ll be turned over. However that plays in to President Trump´s hand. The President loves to watch his enemies self-destruct in a very public way. If Trump had sent Sessions in with warrants and SWAT teams like many keep screaming for, he would have been impeached and removed from office by Aug. 1. If you think McPain, Corker Flake and the rest wouldn´t have joined Schumer in the neck-tie party, you probably believe that Bill Nye is a science guy.
The big question is; Can a bureaucracy get away with defying congress? If they can, we no longer have a Constitutional Republic. Our entire system of laws become meaningless. We speak often of a ´Constitutional crisis´ but I do not think we have ever heard of one as important as this one.
I thought the new FBI (federal bureau of idiots) ´director´ is Christopher Wray. He has no control over this??? Is he implicated as well? He certainly looks and acts like an Obamination holdover. The person who recommended him to Trump should be publicly flogged! We pay for this bureau, perhaps our tax dollars should be withheld just as long as they stalled. After all, their huge pensions come out of our dimes!
IG is putting all this together into a neat, leakproof, escape proof package with enough solid proof so as to be completely ready for prosecution, as we read this. I suspect that CTH is connected somehow into the investigation and is the designated unofficial source to get this info out into public, drip by drip so it isn´t a total shock. Soon it will be released officially and publicly and they will all be indicted.
The only weak point appears to be Gowdy, who is apparently one of the Black Hats, pretending to investigate Hellary, talking tough, but nothing every happening. Gowdy will be trying to shut this down, mark that down and watch him dance to the Black Hat/NeverTrump tune.
Biggest criminal conspiracy ever in this country. I sure hope that they can shut this down and severely punish all of them. The stability and good of the country is at risk here.
I am sure the contempt of congress citation will move ahead if the deadline comes and goes. I hope the citation will include a call on the President to fire those in contempt, Wray included. When Trump does this, the left will go berserk. That pain-in-the-A CNN reporter will go nuts. Trump will be shielded because he is simply acting out what Congress has prescribed. What a great start for 2018. Happy New Year All.
Chaffetz is so out of the loop now that he is useless to Fox/Disney. The other day I watched a bit of him repeating conjecture, speculation and I don’t know, but…. over and over and over. He was utterly useless for his time on camera.
If the President and AG cannot effectively order compliance, we have reached a constitutional crisis. Congress must reauthorize a special prosecutor who can seek a court order. A judge will not be defied. People will comply, go to jail and/or be personally bankrupted by daily fines.
Despite previous reports that a Canadian billionaire and his wife died in a murder-suicide, a private investigation has reached another conclusion: that Barry and Honey Sherman were allegedly killed in a double-homicide. Barry Sherman, 75 and the CEO of a generic drug company called Apotex, and his philanthropic wife, Honey Sherman, 70, were found dead in their home north of Toronto in December. The CEO was allegedly worth nearly $5 billion at the time of his death, according to the Toronto Star. Shortly after, Toronto police began investigating their deaths as a possible murder-suicide. Now, the Toronto Star is reporting the Shermans may
Here is a MAGA riddle: What is even worse than Fake News? That’s right. Flake News. That’s because Flake News is not just Fake News. It is Stupid Fake News that actually makes you dumber for hearing it. The GOP’s flakiest flake in the whole flakey Senate failed Arizona Sen. Jeff “Flakey” Flake took to the Senate floor Wednesday to denounce President Trump because — like the vast majority of intelligent Americans — Mr. Trump does not have much faith in, or respect for, today’s lunatic leftwing media. In Mr. Flake’s speech, Mr. Trump’s harangues against the press earned the
President Trump has released his Fake News Awards. In the spirit of the historic occasion, Breitbart News came up with a few journalist awards of our own. News Anchor Who Ran Fastest to His Mommy Crying — CNN’s Don Lemon Dumbest News Anchor — CNN’s Chris Cuomo Most Pathetic News Outlet — Politico Actually tried to kill Trump’s Fake News Awards with a story about how they “could violate ethics rules.” Biggest Lie of the Year — ABC News Claimed that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was going to testify that candidate Trump asked him to contact the Russians. The truth is that as president-elect, Trump asked Flynn to
TEL AVIV — Glenn R. Simpson, the co-founder of the controversial opposition research firm Fusion GPS, stated in testimony it “makes sense” to him that the FBI paid for a trip to Rome by the former British spy who was contracted by Simpson’s company to produce the largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier. Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, to do the work cited in the anti-Trump dossier. Last July, Steele reportedly traveled to Rome, where he met with an FBI contact to supply the agency with the anti-Trump dossier and other information he found during the course
Now that Donald Trump’s physician has declared the president to be in “excellent” health and mentally fit for office, let’s lay to rest yet another dead #Resistance narrative. “Dangerousness can be assessed without using formal diagnostic categories,” wrote Ilene A. Serling for Psychology Today in an article titled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.” Dr. Serling argued that President Trump’s “attraction to brutal tyrants and also the prospect of nuclear war,” along with his “pit of fragile self-esteem” is indicative of “a crucial impairment of sanity.” Dr. Serling zigzagged between pathologizing the president and candidly associating his administration, and constituents, with “swastikas,
Our most effective U.S. presidents—and keep in mind, I’m saying “most effective,” not “best”—possessed, to one degree or another, a certain measure of indifference to human life. Whether you’re preserving the Union, inciting a World War, incinerating a couple hundred thousand J*ps, or getting up to some mischief in a Tonkin Gulf, indifference to human life is kind of a must. Reckless indifference is helpful, but depraved indifference? Now, that’s the stuff of presidential legend. (Snip)Oprah is practically defined by her depraved indifference to human life. During the course of her storied career, Oprah has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to
NEW YORK—I walked down 8th Street yesterday, past the jumble of little secondhand shops and shoe stores and stand-up lunch counters and trendy bodegas, looking for the place where Susan Cabot was discovered. It was a club called the Village Barn (Snip)She was one of those women so sexy that it starts to be classified as a handicap. Case in point: She was still turning up in the news last week—31 years after her death—as the woman used by the CIA in 1959 to make sure that Jordan’s King Hussein had “female companionship” during his visit to the United States.
Word is as many as 200 members of Congress have now reviewed what some are calling a “shaking the foundation of our democracy” memo that links high-placed figures within both the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton campaign, the DNC, Deep State, and Establishment Media in an attempt to subvert the 2016 Election. It was never “Russian Collusion.” It was our own government/the Obama administration/Deep State, attempting to choose the next president – Hillary Clinton. If in fact 200 members of Congress have reviewed the memo and there have been NO LEAKS of that information, that would indicate it is devastating to the Democrats,
Whispers indicate there is a flurry of activity in BOTH the Obama and Clinton camps today. Both are reaching out BIG TIME to trusted media advocates to try and make certain this scandal is contained. Mr. Bongino doesn’t seem to think that will prove successful… (Tweet)
I was going to put this out there on Twitter, but why monetize my writing for people who hate me and my readers? WSJ took a look at Tweets from @realdonaldtrump since Inauguration Day, by the hour. Here’s what we found. https://t.co/XaCYb9ARNW — The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) January 19, 2018 So the good people at the once-respectable Wall Street Journal have been following President Donald Trump´s tweets for a year now, reading them like the entrails of a goat to divine some sort of evidence that will once and forever end the presidency of a man the snobs of
A year ago today, Donald Trump officially assumed the office of the presidency, after dominating the nation´s politics for more than a year. Republicans did not see it coming. Democrats did not see it coming. And while Republicans finally have accepted the new era in American politics, Democrats haven´t. Which explains their anniversary gift to Trump. A government shutdown. That will show him, right? He´s in Mar-a-Lago laughing it up, having a good time, and golfing. It´s going up to 72 today, and 75 tomorrow. 20 degrees warmer than DC. The public is loving it. Congress cannot pull off a simple budget resolution. The
The Las Vegas police took the unusual step on Friday of releasing key details about the continuing investigation into the Oct. 1 shooting that killed 58 people and wounded hundreds of others. (Snip) Investigators have uncovered extensive details about the internet search history on Mr. Paddock’s computer, including child pornography, guidance on ballistics and information about SWAT team practices. Law enforcement officials believe Mr. Paddock had recently lost a “significant amount of wealth,” and that may have led him to open fire from his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The White House says it will not negotiate with the Democrats on immigration until the end of the federal government shutdown. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in a statement that, “We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands.” She adds, “When Democrats start paying our armed forces and first responders we will reopen negotiations on immigration reform.” The government shut down at midnight after Congress failed to pass a spending deal. Sanders says, “Senate Democrats own the Schumer Shutdown,” adding,
1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. (Snip) "We just passed a tax bill, which I think is a piece of garbage," Dukakis, who lost his presidential bid to then-Vice President George Bush, said. "Look at these companies, though, that are
Former FBI director James B. Comey is joining the faculty of his alma mater, the College of William & Mary, and plans to teach a course on ethical leadership at the school’s Washington center starting in the fall. Comey, whom President Trump fired last year, will have a nontenured position as an executive professor in education, the school announced Friday. His course will be offered through the W&M Washington Center to students of the public college based in Williamsburg, Va. Comey will teach the course in fall 2018, spring 2019 and summer 2019 with executive assistant professor Drew Stelljes.
During his town hall tour across Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given explicit notice to pro-life Canadians that their beliefs on abortion make them second-class citizens. (Snip) According to the article, Trudeau warned that "an organization that has the explicit purpose of restricting women´s rights by removing rights to abortion, the right for women to control their own bodies, is not in line with where we are as a government and quite frankly where we are as a society." According to Trudeau, his tongue-lashing of pro-life groups was prompted by responses to a change to who can receive grants as
More than 130 congressional members have viewed the classified four-page memo detailing what senior government officials describe as “disturbing and explosive” surveillance abuse by employees of the FBI and Department of Justice under the Obama administration against President Trump and members of his campaign. But almost all of them were Republicans. Since the document was released Thursday to House members “only Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have seen it,” a congressional source with knowledge of the memo said. (Snip) Congressional officials expect the classified memo to be made available to the public before the end of the month. In order to
Far from content living his golden years on the $400,000 speech and lecture circuit of other former presidents, President Obama has been busy with clawing back for his old power. He´s actually covertly plotting to oust his democratically elected successor, President Trump, vowing to his associates to "rip him a new one," in the 2018 midterm elections. Seems he´s not all that interested in watching his youngest daughter grow up. That´s the word from DCWhispers, which reports that Obama´s Kalorama mansion, in the heart of the capital´s most tony district, is the center of significant comings and goings among the Obamatons,
For the second time in less than a year, New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson was arrested in Florida, and this time, cops say, he threatened to sexually assault the arresting officer´s wife. Anderson, 24, who was arrested at around 2:15am for going 105 miles-per-hour in a 45 zone, was placed in the back of the police vehicle and ´stated that when he got out he was going to find (the officer´s) wife, f--k her and n-t in her eye,´ according to the the police report with the Broward County Sheriff´s Office. According to the Daily News, the police
There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.
The burn continues. What follows are 138 years of scientific records tracing the human transformation of Earth’s climate. The bold pink line up top represents 2017, the third-hottest on record. The only years to exceed it—2015 and 2016—occurred amid a powerful El Nino weather pattern that ripped heat from the Pacific Ocean into the atmosphere. In the absence of El Nino, the swelter of 2017 was unprecedented.
Immigrants entering the United States illegally through the southern border are quietly being relocated to different parts of the country on commercial flights, high-ranking Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. In the last few days alone, groups of illegal aliens boarded planes at airports in Texas and Arizona accompanied by a taxpayer-funded government escort in civilian clothes to avoid drawing attention. The first flight originated at Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas and was bound for Minneapolis. (Snip) The illegal aliens wear red HHS wrist bands and receive “the gold glove treatment,” according to a veteran federal official,
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Friday that Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has become "sort of the Steve King of the Senate," a reference to one of the House´s most ardent immigration hardliners. In an interview with MSNBC, Graham, who has advocated for legislative protections for young, undocumented immigrants, rejected the notion of ending family-based immigration in exchange for enshrining the protections of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program into law. A proposal by Cotton and Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) seeks to end so-called chain migration, which allows U.S. citizens and permanent residents to sponsor family members abroad to
Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.
