The 17 Most Annoying
People of 2017

Taki’s Magazine, by Jim Goad

Original Article

Writing this on New Year’s Eve and staring at the past annum in the rearview mirror, you can bet every last hair on your ass that I’m annoyed. Then again, I’m offended by nothing and bothered by everything. With the stark and baffling exception of 2015, I’ve done these “Most Annoying” compendiums for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016. In 2012 I listed only 12. With each year, the listicle tacks on yet another annoying individual to the tally, which brings us to 17 walking annoyances for this past year. It is my belief that over the past five years, the world

Comments:
Everyone has his own special favorites, but we’ll fina few here on which we all can agree…

Goad reminds the “most annoying” is not the same as “most vile”.

I´m with #8. George Takei should have known better than to have Greco and Roman (I´m paraphrasing) his victim. Cosby-Polanski technique. Criminal technique. So shut up, Mr. Sulu.

This list could have been ten times as long, but it´s a decent beginning.

n the desperate hope that countless photos and videos of former Vice President Joe Biden’s “handsi-ness” with women and children can be wished away, the far-left Politico published a lengthy piece Monday dismissing the problem. The overall piece is a typical overlong, Politico blah-blah-blah about how Biden is the frontrunner to challenge Trump in 2020 and that his real problem is not his “handsi-ness,” but that he is not far enough to the left. (Snip) Trump would also provide cover for another often-discussed Biden drawback: the overly familiar mannerisms that seem terribly out of place in the #MeToo era. Next to Trump’s

And what part of you is thinking, I helped elect Donald Trump?” Comey replied, “A whole lot of me was thinking, ‘Oh, my God. Did we have some role in this? Did we have some impact on the

“What strikes me is how little new there is in the book,” Fox News veteran Chris Wallace, one of the network’s few resident Democrats, groused Friday morning. “We get a lot of opinions—very unpleasant opinions of the president by James Comey,” he continued, referring to the former F.B.I. director’s new tell-all, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership. But Wallace was himself taken aback to find Comey, the self-serious Reinhold Niebuhr scholar, so fixated on scoring petty points over Trump’s comparatively diminutive height and hand size. “The other thing that surprises me, frankly,” he added, “is how bitchy the book

Broward County, Fla., school officials portray as a great success their Obama administration-inspired program offering counseling to students who break the law, instead of having them arrested or expelled. They insist that it played no role in February’s school massacre by Nikolas Cruz. They also claim that in fact juvenile recidivism rates are down and school safety is up, thanks to the program. The evidence tells a far different story. Broward County juvenile justice division records, federal studies of Broward school district safety and the district´s own internal reporting show that years of “intensive" counseling didn’t just fail to reform

As deputy director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe “admonished” other FBI officials over leaks he himself authorized. That’s one of the damning revelations the Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General released in a Friday report. “Crafty plan,” was how Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan described the McCabe revelation to The Daily Caller News Foundation. McCabe berating other FBI officials over the leaks suggests he was “trying to cover his tracks,” House Judiciary Committee member Jordan said. “Who does that?” Jordan asked rhetorically.
