(The Rice MOB would do this sort of thing way better back in the day. But not even they would go after Whataburger.)

Insulting your host is not satirical and is not funny. Maybe the next that Stanford is invited to a bowl outside of California the band will be invited not to come.

Get outside of a "Monterrey Melt"....then have a nice nap and get back to me about Whataburger.

People are fleeing from Mexifornia in droves.

You can get paid to drive a U-Haul back to Taxifornia.

....and you don´t have to drive to Anaheim any more to get Carl´s Junior most excellent repast.

(But I would if I had to.)

Does anyone see the total lack of logic that a so-called "university" that punishes free thought and anything that "upsets" all their little snowflake students, mocks and offends an entire state that is hosting their school for a football bowl game???

During my high school days (senior year), imagine the surprise of being "asked" to do the halftime announcing for our band at football games. This was after previously being on the "chain gang" (sophomore & junior) for marking spot of downs (I made mistakes during some fast pacing games).

My point. Oh, before each game of announcing, I was given a script to practice with the band on the field prior to game so we would be in sync with their movements and testing sound system so they heard me.

If this is Stanford´s normal "Saturday Afternoon Live" gig, more power to them. Besides, they lost in a squeaker to our "Horned Frogs". (That was the big news here afterwards.)

Stanford´s band has been famously outrageous for as long as anyone can remember, and if I recall correctly, they have been periodically suspended or somehow disciplined, although for this particular outrage, they will no doubt be congratulated. As for the once fine academics that Stanford was long known for, they have allowed PC into much of their curriculum and are now granting degrees in some "majors" that are astonishingly watered down and worthless. Also, I could be wrong but wasn´t Stanford where some administrator or professor recently led the students in effectively shutting down a non-PC guest speaker?

- take their money and give it to illegal

- restrict their constitutional rights;
- give their agricultural water to fish;

people who live in successful States that do subject their citizens to similar offenses.

President Trump’s inflammatory remarks against immigrants from a host of developing-world nations have sparked outrage amid talks on the fate of Dreamers just as lawmakers from both parties were claiming progress on a hard-fought deal. But supporters of the immigration package say the deeper threat to an agreement is not the president, but the conservatives in both the White House and Congress fighting to kill the deal before it can pick up steam –– an effort they’re calling “the Stephen Miller ambush,” referencing a top White House aide. The leading negotiators on an immigration package — Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)

The White House said Mr. Trump didn’t want to fight an endless stream of costly legal battles against voter-rights groups, so he issued an executive order canceling the panel altogether. “Despite substantial evidence of voter fraud, many states have refused to provide the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity with basic information relevant to its inquiry,” the White House said in a statement. “Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense, today I signed an

For all the squabbling that social media platforms are notorious for, their relevance to the media landscape plays an important role in times of protest. This was evident with Black Lives Matter, among other movements. It’s been evident for the past three days in Iran, where thousands have taken to streets and public squares calling for an end to the hardline conservative regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The question that needs to be asked right now is why traditional mainstream media outlets – grandstanding over their importance in this new, bold era of fact-checking and truth-telling – have largely ignored
