There’s bad news and there’s worse news for President Donald Trump in new polls released this week. First comes the latest round of polling showing that Trump is the most unpopular president on record. Just 32% of respondents to a new Associated Press-NORC poll said they approved of the job Trump is doing as president, while an overwhelming 67% they disapproved. Among those who don’t think the president is doing a good job, more than half say they “strongly disapprove” of his work. The poll — conducted earlier this month — also suggests that nearly 70% of Americans believe the United States is “heading
Comments: The MSM is hyperventilating, and are about to fall out. Among American citizens who can discern what´s happening in our lives, things have gotten better under President Trump, and could well get much better. The Left want their coup d´état. They might end up out of the news business. Do they even know what news is?
Baloney, the state of the US economy and the availability of jobs are the most important factor to most Americans, and since President Trump was elected the economy as been doing better all the time with the unemployment figures going down.
The liberal Democrats dwell on Trump’s tweets that are nothing more then a diversion. Once the tax reform package becomes law, and the American people see more takehome pay in their paychecks, chances are Trump will become a lot more popular, especially if he keeps delivering on the promises that he made during his campaign to the American people. All that is driving the liberals nuts.
Tells you how close AOL is to those who want America to fail.
What is it about leftist that they can´t ever be sportsmanlike in any manner or situation. Donald has great numbers at the moment. To still "Hate Him" is to admit that one cares nothing for America and it´s future.
When I was a Kid...."Party..Party..Party" was about beer and music not slavish dedication to Marxism at all costs.
Everyone I know here in Nevada loves the President. Long live Trump. He is doing a magnificent job and the communist, treasonous Obama who attempted to destroy the will of the people in the 2016 election shrinks further into oblivion as the worst U.S. President in history.
There is an important thing that Trump´s candidacy and presidency has taught me. That in retrospect there is not one member of either party who has the "gravitas" to be president. Each day that passes it is apparent to me that Rubio, Cruz, any Bush, or any democrat is really not of Trump´s caliber. Rubio seems a really small man, Jeb Bush is even smaller, Cruz is not a leader and seems smaller than during the primaries. Only Trump seems big.
The media deliberately ignore and do not report r suppress all the great things President Trump has done, or when they do report good news, they are careful to not connect it to President Trump. Simultaneously, they shape every bit of bad news, (much of which exists only in the press´ minds) to slam President Trump. Only astute Americans are aware of all the excellent progress that America has made thanks to Donald J. Trump. Oh, and no doubt, they oversampled Democrats for this poll and asked loaded questions, etc.
I agree with #20! My late father was the first person close to me who found something to like about Trump. Dad said, "Politicians have made a mess of things. Why not have a businessman in the presidency instead of a politician?" (Dad was a businessman.) His question is unanswerable, except to vote for Trump, which I proudly did. And will again in 2020. Proudly.
That´s not even the worst news. Turns out that every day people realize there is absolutely no reason to be part of Army Of Losers today. Dial up is dead, but being the has beens they are AOL has thrown in with the same business plan that did so well for Air America. AOL should take their last 10 million and grubstake a film from Michael Moore. He hates President Trump as well, aol. It will make sooo much money, like Hollywoods latest crop. I have a poll that says you should do this. It´s ´overwhelming´ LOL aol.
In politics, perception becomes reality. Daily, sometimes hourly, confrontations with his critics makes the President appear embattled and without allies. Which cabinet members, which agency heads, which senators, which members of the House ever take a three-point shot at the basket or even provide an assist? It is all Trump, all the time. His problem in part is overexposure. Gunners and ball hogs first lose their teammates, then lose their fans.
AOL and Yahoo News are not real news. Gee Wally, I wonder if it´s because the alphabets have been hyperventilating 24/7/365 about Mueller´s Russia probe?? The liberal-Illuminati in the media can make the Pope into like Satan if they so desire.
Trump,a bad year??? Only according to his Dem and GOPe opponents, their MSM TV viewers and illegal immigrants.
OMG, he´s had the best year since at least Reagan. He´s Trumped, (no pun intended), Bush I and II, Clinton and Obama easily. We´ve had a truly bad run of Presidents. And because we have an even worse Media, people who don´t know better, don´t know better. Honestly, anyone who says Trump has had a bad year, is self identifying as a clinical moron, or a Trump opponent, but I repeat myself. And if you truly want even better, just imagine how much improved everything would be without the constant roadblocks from the Dems and GOPe. Go Trump! MAGA!
Being "the most unpopular" first-year president in history while being "the most successful" first-year president in history are two distinctions worthy of extreme pride. However, the unpopular one is of no value whatsoever. The successful one trumps it in a big way.
The Donald has the heart of a businessman, not that of a politician. And he´s proving that it´s not a bad thing at all. MAGA!
In other words 67% of the country has been thoroughly indoctrinated by the fake news outlets. Apparently 67% of the country doesn´t care if they get a tax cut or that businesses would be encourage to hire more workers or the money they´ve made through any stock investment. Apparently 67% don´t want to work and only care about what more Uncle Sugar and provide for free.
Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan famously said people were entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts. Clearly, Moynihan never dealt with Florida legislators. Because around Tallahassee, facts are fungible. They aren’t just up for debate, they’re up for purchase. You can find legislative priorities that are written like an online dating profile. Some fudging here, some exaggeration there. If the data doesn’t fit your political objective, just commission a study to twist the narrative in your favor and .?.?. Voila! The truth is now negotiable. We’ve become so accustomed to it, we’ll happily pay for fictitious nuclear power plants and have impassioned
WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called the government shutdown a “manufactured crisis” created by Democrats who want a permanent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) fix, which he referred to as a “non-emergency” issue that does not belong in the short-term spending bill to continue federal government operations. “The one non-emergency issue our friends on the other side of the aisle are trying to shoehorn into this discussion doesn’t reach that status of emergency until March. This is pure folly. The American people know so, that´s why in a recent survey a majority said keeping the government open
As soon as Donald Trump moved into the White House, the American Civil Liberties Union’s membership began growing to 1.6 million, four times bigger than during the Obama administration. Along with filling out ACLU membership cards, liberal/progressive voters also clicked in $93 million in online donations to the organization, an increase of $88 million from the year before. “We have bodies the likes of which we’ve never had before,” said ACLU executive director Anthony Romero. “We actually have dollars the likes of which we’ve never seen before.” With all that new membership and monetary might behind it, Romero told Politico there’s no
Why are so many Americans dying of drug overdoses? Maybe it’s because we’re a nation of junkies. At least that seems to be the finding from a new study that flies in the face of the more widespread view that the opioid crisis is the result of a weak economy. “The fatal overdose epidemic is likely to primarily reflect drug problems rather than the deaths of despair,” states a report published this month by the National Bureau of Economic Research. Death toll rising In short, the research says addiction is the reason for the tens of thousands of drug deaths across the across the
PALM BEACH, Fla. – President Donald Trump´s posh Mar-a-Lago Club is set to host a high-priced gala Saturday night intended to celebrate Trump´s first year in office and raise money for his reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee. Tickets start at $100,000 per couple, Bloomberg News reported. The guest of honor, however, may not be there. With the government shut down and Congress in negotiations, Trump postponed his scheduled departure from Washington on Friday afternoon. But he will still make money. By holding the event at his own club, Trump will be able to collect tens of thousands of Headline corrected. Please omit column name.
MIAMI — The number of legal immigrants from Latin American nations who access public health services and enroll in federally subsidized insurance plans has dipped substantially since President Donald Trump took office, many of them fearing their information could be used to identify and deport relatives living in the U.S. illegally, according to health advocates across the country. Trump based his campaign on promises to stop illegal immigration and deport any immigrants in the country illegally, but many legal residents and U.S. citizens are losing their health care as a result, advocates say. After Trump became president a year ago, "every single
A 9-year-old student in New Mexico gave fellow students gummies - only to realize later they were not ordinary candies. The candies had apparently been laced with tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the chemical responsible for how marijuana affects the brain, and were being used by the student’s parents as medical marijuana. Kristi Del Curto, dean of elementary students at Albuquerque School of Excellence, told the Albuquerque Journal the fifth-grader brought the box of gummies she found at home and shared with friends at the school cafeteria one morning. "She thought she was sharing candy, and if you saw the picture on the box, Please split wide headlines
WASHINGTON – Sen. Bill Nelson on Sunday offered "another reason" for his vote against the short-term budget, underscoring the delicate politics of the shutdown. "Another reason I voted against the Continuing Resolution Friday night was that it omitted the desperately needed hurricane disaster assistance to help Florida recover. Especially hurt is Florida´s citrus industry, which lost most of its oranges in the storm. They are now teetering on the brink of bankruptcy unless we can get them some help immediately," said Nelson, a Democrat running for re-election. Nelson did not comment before the vote and then initially released a fairly generic statement. "These
A woman sailing on a Carnival Cruise Line ship from Jacksonville fell from her cabin’s balcony and died Friday. Doral-based Carnival Cruise Line spokesman Vance Gulliksen confirmed the death Saturday, saying in a statement that the incident occurred early Friday morning aboard the Carnival Elation. The woman, who has not been identified, "fell from her balcony to several decks below," the statement said. "The ship’s medical team responded immediately, but, unfortunately, she passed away," Gulliksen said in a statement. "The incident was reported to all proper authorities and CARE Team support was offered to fellow travelers and her family. Our thoughts and prayers
There are many news items these days that recall that great line from Randall Jarrell’s comic novel about academia, Pictures from an Institution, that runs: “President Robbins made a speech that—a Gertrude said, you had to hear it not to believe it.” This week brings one that is off the chart for this category. From The Telegraph: Women who identify as men are not being routinely offered potentially life saving NHS screening for breast and cervical cancer, amid fears it might offend them it is claimed. However men living as women are being invited for cervical smear tests even though they do
Normally so censorious of shutdowns, the media seemed eager for one on Thursday. Pundits offered up preemptive excuses for Senate Democrats who seek to torpedo a deal. The more that Democratic senators behave like hack liberal activists, the more the media cheers them on. The media is in a disruptive mood and sees a shutdown as a win for Trump’s enemies. Even as the House passed a bill to fund the government on Thursday evening, MSNBC contributor Howard Fineman was babbling about the GOP as the party of shutdowns. The same media that lectures Trump on the importance of propriety
The Department of Justice announced Friday that Rene Boucher, the person who attacked and seriously injured Kentucky GOP Senator Rand Paul 2-1/2 months ago, has been charged with a federal felony and admitted to the attack. Several press accounts are crowing that the DOJ´s announcement proves that the attack was not politically motivated. It does no such thing. The press release from the U.S. Attorney´s Office which had jurisdiction indicates that the alleged lack of political motivation is entirely based on Boucher´s word (bolds are mine throughout this post): Josh J. Minkler, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of
1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. (Snip) "We just passed a tax bill, which I think is a piece of garbage," Dukakis, who lost his presidential bid to then-Vice President George Bush, said. "Look at these companies, though, that are
The White House says it will not negotiate with the Democrats on immigration until the end of the federal government shutdown. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in a statement that, “We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands.” She adds, “When Democrats start paying our armed forces and first responders we will reopen negotiations on immigration reform.” The government shut down at midnight after Congress failed to pass a spending deal. Sanders says, “Senate Democrats own the Schumer Shutdown,” adding,
It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party. But listen to any number of Republicans and
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York pinned the government shutdown on President Donald Trump, saying it has become "next to impossible" to negotiate with the White House. In a press availability, Schumer said he and Trump have been close to a deal to fund the government at least once. But, he said the "hard right" in the Republican Party later convinces Trump not to strike a deal with him."[Trump] won´t take yes for an answer," Schumer said. (Tweet) Schumer said that he does not know whether Trump´s apparent waffling on a deal is the work of adviser Stephen Miller, a
Question: Do you think Donald Trump spends more time thinking about Hillary Clinton than Hillary Clinton spends thinking about Donald Trump? Sure does seem like it. The other day, President Trump was discussing Russia at a press conference with the prime minister of Norway, when he suddenly announced that Clinton “was not for a strong military and Hillary, my opponent, was for windmills, and she was for other types of energy that don’t have the same capacities at this moment certainly.” Yeah, it didn’t make any sense. But he really can’t seem to get past her. Recently while promoting tax
The Daily Caller journalist Chuck Ross has some extremely interesting information released today surrounding former top FBI Counterintelligence Agent Peter Strzok and DOJ/FBI liaison attorney Lisa Page which includes a disclosure by top FBI officials that text messages between Strzok and Page have gone missing. (Snip) According to information relayed to Senator Ron Johnson, the period of time the FBI has “lost” is from December 14th, 2016 to May 17th, 2017, the exact day that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was assigned to lead the Russia collusion probe. As CTH has previously outlined the same “small group” inside the DOJ and FBI,
Immigrants entering the United States illegally through the southern border are quietly being relocated to different parts of the country on commercial flights, high-ranking Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. In the last few days alone, groups of illegal aliens boarded planes at airports in Texas and Arizona accompanied by a taxpayer-funded government escort in civilian clothes to avoid drawing attention. The first flight originated at Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas and was bound for Minneapolis. (Snip) The illegal aliens wear red HHS wrist bands and receive “the gold glove treatment,” according to a veteran federal official,
According to Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH14) the House Intelligence Committee will hold a vote on the release of the four-page Nunes memo that reveals systemic corruption within the DOJ and FBI; including the unlawful use of FISA-702(16)(17) data searches which were part of an elaborate DOJ-FBI surveillance program on the political campaign of Donald Trump. (Tweet) Additionally, Chad Pergram reported that Chairman Devin Nunes met with Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte to discuss the best process to release the memo. There are generally two ways it could be done, the HPSCI vote is the most likely. As more people have become aware
There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.
The burn continues. What follows are 138 years of scientific records tracing the human transformation of Earth’s climate. The bold pink line up top represents 2017, the third-hottest on record. The only years to exceed it—2015 and 2016—occurred amid a powerful El Nino weather pattern that ripped heat from the Pacific Ocean into the atmosphere. In the absence of El Nino, the swelter of 2017 was unprecedented.
Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.
Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see. Do you think Democrats are starting to panic? (Video) Rush
