Flabbergasted: Frank Luntz Shocked
As Alabamians Back Roy Moore in
Vice News Focus Group

Breitbart Big Government, by Matthew Boyle

Original Article

MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Frank Luntz, a GOP establishment messaging consultant, was visibly flabbergasted as every single one of his focus group participants in a Birmingham area Vice News-produced panel backed Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate. Titled “Why These Alabama Voters Are Sticking By Roy Moore,” Luntz’s Vice News focus group aired on Vice News Tonight on Dec. 8 on HBO. “Are you all Christians here?” Luntz opens the seven-and-a-half-minute long segment. “Yes,” all of the focus group participants, who joined Luntz in a Birmingham area restaurant, replied. “Is Roy Moore a good Christian?” he followed up. “Yes,” one woman replied. “Absolutely,” another said. “Absolutely?”

A great back and forth with this gutsy group, with Luntz baiting them, goading them, and their holding fast. Men and women. These are not ignorant people and the points they make are excellent. Luntz got far more than he bargained for.

Very, very worth a read.

Presumption of innocence,

What a crazy idea.

Moore would not be my choice but not for these accusations, but it doesn´t matter, I dont live in Alabama.

Dr. Luntz, there are no ´good´ Christians.
I am an imperfect Christian - that is the underlying theme of Christianity.
Because I am a perfect imperfect Christian, I try not to judge others as to their perfections as Christians.
Dollar Bill Clinton and his 10 pound bible is an exception to that rule.

It´s almost as if a pro Doug Jones, anti Roy Moore group got together and decided to become active in the election. A very inept group of arrogant elitist yankees.

"Jones holds detestable, anti-Christian positions which probably won´t fly with the people of Alabama. We can´t hide that. We better go full force against Moore in an area sure to touch a majority of voters. Let´s call him a pedophile. Find a few useful idiots to make claims that the guy likes young girls."

"That´s gonna be hard to do."

"Well go back 40 years, or so. Who remembers what anyone else was doing 40 years ago? We´ll paint Moore as a bad Christian. We´ll flood the stories with numerous victims." "How many?" "9 or 10. And, we´ll pay them. Have the fake victims be young enough to make it sleazy, 13 or 14. If the voters don´t fall for it, we´ll compare Moore to Horndog Clinton." "That ought to do the trick. All we have to do is be smarter than those corn pone Alabama bumpkins."

"No problem"

The American people have seen little credible evidence that Roy Moore is what democRATs say he is, but have seen a preponderance of ginned-up, over-the-top, histrionics on the part of democRATs to destroy this man. It has just never smelled right! I think Alabamans have it figured out.

The issue here is quite simple, and it amazes me that it seems to be totally missed by almost everyone. It´s not whether Moore´s behavior, if true, was reprehensible, it´s that it occurred 40 years ago. There is no moral equivalence here at all between him and Franken, Conyers, etc., all of whom continued their behavior right up to the present.

Don´t fall for these false equivalence traps the left always sets.

I personally don´t know what to think about what is true or not. Knowing the democrats as I do it all smells of a set up. The 40 year gap before saying anything stinks of a trap.

Lets let the Alabama voters have their say. After that let the Ethics committee do their thing and see if the accusers stories stand up under oath when there are consequences for lying.

Pollsters are supposed to be objective. Luntz is an activist, lefty who is personally offended by his audience´s opinions about Moore. This was supposed to turn out differently. He had pre-supposed there would be at least a few who were anti-Moore and dumb enough to want to toss Moore to the wolves so that Jones can take the seat for the GD Democrats. Alabamans might be country, but, they are not easily led down the lane by Mcconnell shysters like Luntz.

Only two more days and we will know how resolved the Alabama voters really are. I´m afraid to guess on the outcome for fear of jinxing it. But, I sure as H hope it is Moore.

Luntz flipped his wig. Again.

Frank Luntz has been running the Big Con for decades now with his bogus dial-twisting Skinner Boxes.

It´s tempting to call his methodology flawed but I´m not sure it´s even a methodology since participants will almost never choose a neutral or a flatline response and will almost always go for positive/negative reactions simply to prove to the examiner that they are paying attention. In other words, there is no control group.

Luntz is as responsible as anyone for reducing intelligent political debate and rhetoric to Buzzword Bingo in which the candidate hollers out this or that person, group or issue with little or no connective tissue between the shopping list items. Luntz´s dream candidate must have been Barack Obama, who would show up and check off the usuals: minorities, gays, et al and soak up the cheap applause from barking sea lions.

It´s amusing to hear Luntz described as a messaging consultant because messages have a subject, verb and predicate. Luntz wants single-word answers and pretends to be an oracle when he gets them. Sadly, too many politicians believe him.

I think Roy Moore is an honorable man, I could be wrong, but at this point it´s almost irrelevant. I know I am sick and tired of the democrats and establishment republicans viciously attacking and decapitating anyone who dares to step up and challenge the status quo. It will be worth it just to prove to them that cannot manipulate EVERY election to get the outcome that they want.

“Let’s be real. It was a different world. Forty years ago in Alabama, people could get married at 13 and 14 years old.”

Bingo! What is happening is that modern social standards are being applied to a time and place where those standards were quite different, and it is being done for crass and cynical partisan reasons. Today we can look back at that time and think eww, that´s disgusting, but at the time it was the norm. And as long as it didn´t cross the line into something illegal (and there is no evidence that it did), who are we to judge? It´s like trying to hold me accountable for slavery because my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandparents were slave owners.

I hope you read this article. Ole Luntz got more than he bargained for.

“My grandmother, at 13, was married,” Porter continued. “At 15, [she] had two children and a husband and a job. If Roy Moore was guilty, if he was at the mall hitting on this 14-year-old, 40 years ago in Alabama, there’s a lot of mamas and daddies who would be thrilled that their 14-year-old was getting hit on by a district attorney.”

Rhonda Richardson, a nursing assistant, said she dated older men when she was 16-years-old.

“I dated an older man at 16,” she said. “So we don’t really—“

“How old was he?” Luntz asked.

“Thirty-one,” she responded, the same age group in which Moore was accused of engaging in this various behavior.

Where is the outrage about outsiders meddling in Alabama´s elections? This was a typical democrat "October" surprise.
Do not forget, the dems tried did the October surprise stunt to GWB about a DWI thirty years earlier.

However, it is turning out to be SURPRISE to democrats in Congress. The dems in Congress are eating their own. And all without the sacred due process.

If I lived in Alabama, I´d vote for Roy Moore because this whole episode stinks of a Uniparty hit job. Besides, the worst that will happen is that the Senate expels him and the Republican Alabama governor will appoint another Republican to the seat. For me, it is crucial to keep the seat in Republican hands.

What really stinks about this entire thing is the simple fact that Moore has had a very honorable career for all of his adult life. And all of this mess just "happen" to jump up after 40yrs just at a time that Moore came out head of the Republican team. Not long for the vote that will decide who the next senator will be. As people age, maturity often provides a different perspective on life and, quite often, for the better. In reflecting on life, it is not unusual for people to look back with regret and even embarrassment for past decisions and actions. Repentant Christians adhere to the words of our Lord spoken to the adulteress on the Mount of Olives, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” … She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” (John 8:1-11)

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer gave a tepid, droning, and utterly unconvincing performance on the Senate floor this morning where he repeatedly inserted the phrase, “the Trump shutdown.” The problem for Mr. Schumer is two-fold: First, very few watched his speech. Second, and this is even more critical, the phrase “Schumer Shutdown” is trending throughout Social Media circles – a development which has Mr. Schumer’s staff increasingly troubled. He doesn’t want to be the one

Despite previous reports that a Canadian billionaire and his wife died in a murder-suicide, a private investigation has reached another conclusion: that Barry and Honey Sherman were allegedly killed in a double-homicide. Barry Sherman, 75 and the CEO of a generic drug company called Apotex, and his philanthropic wife, Honey Sherman, 70, were found dead in their home north of Toronto in December. The CEO was allegedly worth nearly $5 billion at the time of his death, according to the Toronto Star. Shortly after, Toronto police began investigating their deaths as a possible murder-suicide. Now, the Toronto Star is reporting the Shermans may

Here is a MAGA riddle: What is even worse than Fake News? That’s right. Flake News. That’s because Flake News is not just Fake News. It is Stupid Fake News that actually makes you dumber for hearing it. The GOP’s flakiest flake in the whole flakey Senate failed Arizona Sen. Jeff “Flakey” Flake took to the Senate floor Wednesday to denounce President Trump because — like the vast majority of intelligent Americans — Mr. Trump does not have much faith in, or respect for, today’s lunatic leftwing media. In Mr. Flake’s speech, Mr. Trump’s harangues against the press earned the

TEL AVIV — Glenn R. Simpson, the co-founder of the controversial opposition research firm Fusion GPS, stated in testimony it “makes sense” to him that the FBI paid for a trip to Rome by the former British spy who was contracted by Simpson’s company to produce the largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier. Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, to do the work cited in the anti-Trump dossier. Last July, Steele reportedly traveled to Rome, where he met with an FBI contact to supply the agency with the anti-Trump dossier and other information he found during the course

Now that Donald Trump’s physician has declared the president to be in “excellent” health and mentally fit for office, let’s lay to rest yet another dead #Resistance narrative. “Dangerousness can be assessed without using formal diagnostic categories,” wrote Ilene A. Serling for Psychology Today in an article titled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.” Dr. Serling argued that President Trump’s “attraction to brutal tyrants and also the prospect of nuclear war,” along with his “pit of fragile self-esteem” is indicative of “a crucial impairment of sanity.” Dr. Serling zigzagged between pathologizing the president and candidly associating his administration, and constituents, with “swastikas,

Our most effective U.S. presidents—and keep in mind, I’m saying “most effective,” not “best”—possessed, to one degree or another, a certain measure of indifference to human life. Whether you’re preserving the Union, inciting a World War, incinerating a couple hundred thousand J*ps, or getting up to some mischief in a Tonkin Gulf, indifference to human life is kind of a must. Reckless indifference is helpful, but depraved indifference? Now, that’s the stuff of presidential legend. (Snip)Oprah is practically defined by her depraved indifference to human life. During the course of her storied career, Oprah has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to

1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party. But listen to any number of Republicans and

Question: Do you think Donald Trump spends more time thinking about Hillary Clinton than Hillary Clinton spends thinking about Donald Trump? Sure does seem like it. The other day, President Trump was discussing Russia at a press conference with the prime minister of Norway, when he suddenly announced that Clinton “was not for a strong military and Hillary, my opponent, was for windmills, and she was for other types of energy that don’t have the same capacities at this moment certainly.” Yeah, it didn’t make any sense. When you shut down the government you stop negotiating on immigration reform. They’re complicity with not getting things done.” He added, “I’m not going to comment. I just saw that. There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.

Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.

Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see.
