Polar bears all over the

To climate change fanatics, polar bears are the eye candy for the worldwide call for action on global warming. There have been news reports about the sad shape they are in, with their coats going brown, their food supplies drying up, and their ice floes melting. Conclusion: The bears are set to starve. Welp, turns out there are too many of them now. According to Marc Morano´s Climate Depot: 2 New Papers: 92% Of Polar Bear Subpopulations Stable, Increasing – Inuit Observe ´Too Many Polar Bears Now´ ...and... The Inuit know how to harvest this resource.

Those who are surfing in Malibu or snogging in Martha´s Vineyard need to mind their own knitting.

A big thank you to the global warmers. Your work here is done. The polar bear population has been brought back from the brink of extinction.

Never was any danger. It was hilarious when the fools showed a p bear on a small ice floe, and said he would DROWN when it melted. LOL.
Like a seal or a walrus would drown. P bears often swim out very far from land or ice to hunt, very at home in the water.

Perhaps the only predator which sees humans as part of it´s normal prey. See a human, go to eat him.

One of the more obvious things about the Trump economy is how much better it is than the Obama economy. Yet incredibly, President Obama, as if jealously looking on at this night-and-day difference, is trying to claim credit for it. From the Washington Times: Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth.

Jerry Brown is at it again. Blaming Californians for the devastating series of California wildfires month, he went Full Moonbeam and declared the problem a function of global warming, calling it a new normal about which nothing is to be done. As if wildfires that sweep away homes in California´s unique Mediteranean microclimates have never happened before this past week. Compare and contrast to President Trump´s gracious tweet on the matter, which was the classy thing to say: Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of California’s wildfires. I encourage everyone to heed the advice and orders of local and state

Since its inception in 1994, the Vanity Fair Oscar party, long hosted by Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter, has become the must-attend bash for Hollywood A-listers. Everyone who’s anyone poses on the red carpet: The night’s big winners inevitably stop by before or after hitting their own studio-hosted affairs; and stars not attending the awards ceremony show up here to watch it on big-screen televisions. The only other annual party that’s as star-studded is the Met Gala in Manhattan. LOS ANGELES – A flare-up on the western edge of Southern California´s largest and most destructive wildfire sent residents fleeing Sunday, as wind-fanned flames churned through canyons and down hillsides toward coastal towns. Crews with help from water-dropping aircraft saved several homes as unpredictable gusts sent the blaze churning deeper into foothill areas northwest of Los Angeles that haven´t burned in decades. New evacuations were ordered in Carpinteria, a seaside city in Santa Barbara County that has been under fire threat for days. "The winds are kind of squirrely right now," said county fire spokesman Mike Eliason. "Some places the smoke is

After more than a decade of studying wildfires, San Diego County took its final exams last week. Did we pass? Authorities say the region is far better equipped to handle swift, wind-whipped flames than it was during the firestorms of 2007 and ’03. “We’re about $460 million more prepared,” Supervisor Dianne Jacob said Friday, “both on the ground and in the air.” Officials cited better communication between fire agencies; more fire engines and air tankers on the front lines, day and night; and better tracking of the flames. Despite these advances, the Lilac Fire’s first 24 hours consumed 4,100 acres

Update (1:30 p.m.) - California Governor Jerry Brown says deadly and destructive wildfires in winter are "the new normal." Brown on Saturday toured Ventura County neighborhoods ravaged by a weeklong wildfire that killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes and other buildings. At a news conference, Brown said drought and climate change mean California faces a "new reality" where lives and property are continually threatened by fire, at a cost of billions of dollars. He added that gusty winds and low humidity are continuing and warned that there´s a good chance of seeing "firefighting at Christmas." He also said: "With climate

North County’s Lilac wildfire is now 20 percent contained as firefighters focus on hotspots and embers that could ignite islands of vegetation the fire hasn’t yet scorched. Many residents forced to evacuate continue to wait for permission to return home, with firefighting officials saying they’re reluctant to let residents go back because they could be forced to evacuate again if fires flare up. Some of the crews that worked overnight to suppress the 4,100-acre blaze are getting relief from new crews scheduled to join the effort this morning. Accustomed to the highly-regimented life of the racetrack, hundreds of thoroughbreds frantically galloped together Thursday trying to escape the blazing Lilac wildfire. Terrified, the speedsters stampeded through Bonsall’s San Luis Rey Downs horse-training facility, whinnying, rolling their eyes and thundering through thick smoke as the fire quickly consumed the barns where they had spent the morning serenely munching hay. The fire arrived at the sprawling 500-stall complex on Camino Del Rey about one mile east of Highway 76 a bit before 2 p.m., causing ever-more-frantic public address system calls to

And President Trump should resign his position.” She added, “Whether he will ever hold himself accountable is something you really can’t hold your breath for. And so, Congress should have hearings. They should do their investigation. They should have appropriate investigations of his behavior and hold him accountable.”
