´Ready?´: Democratic senators and staffers shed
tears during Al Franken´s resignation speech

Washington Examiner, by Al Weaver

Original Article

Sen. Al Franken took a quick glance up at a jam-packed Senate press gallery as he entered the chamber Thursday, preparing to ask Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan, who was presiding over the chamber, to allow him to make the speech that would end his political career. A senator who has long dodged questions from reporters, he finally had one for them. "Ready?" And with that, Franken, D-Minn., set out on his farewell address to the Senate — a 12-minute speech where he continued to proclaim his innocence against eight women who have accused him of sexual misconduct in recent weeks.

His short speech was self indulgent and self absorbed.

"Some of the charges are inaccurate and I don´t have the same recollections as some others have had."

That´s because you were all jacked up having just copped a feel!

What a dumb son of a gun! Does he really think the public is that stupid?

Good riddance to this worthless sniveling disgrace from the great state of Minnesota. I hope to heaven they elect or name a better example as his replacement.

He didn´t resign and he didn´t apologize for anything (essentially calling his accusers liars). He sort of said he would leave in a few weeks. I suspect that means if Roy Moore wins, Franken will create a hostage situation. "Either Moore goes or I stay". He will claim that Moore´s accusers are more believable (after almost 40 years) than his accusers and he shouldn´t have to leave if a guy that almost raped a teenager can stay. Whatever he said today was not definitive in the least.

He did not resign. He only announced that he WILL BE resigning without specifying when.

Franken will try to stay on until the Senate Ethics Committee completes its investigation. If they hammer him, he´ll go; if they slap him, he´ll try and stay.

If he goes, the Minn governor will likely appoint a woman to fill his seat.

It´s obvious that the progs are setting the table to go after our POTUS on this issue. There will be big money available to any woman willing to claim Trump touched her 20-30 years ago after she flirted with him because he´s rich. Bonus if she has a signed yearbook or weeps easily.

This is spreading like a California wildfire. It could get uglier.

These people are hostages to stupidity. Franken is a bad Senator because he believes things that are bad for America. He is a dishonest politician who leveraged his way into power on the back of a dead man by stuffing ballot boxes. For all of these reasons, Franken should not be a U.S. Senator.

But that´s not why the Democrat machine is getting rid of him. He´s being pilloried to appease a feminist mob because lunatics run the Democrat Party and politically unprincipled cowards lead it. They need the lunatic vote to stay in power.

Question: If the governor of Minnesota was a Republican right now, would Franken be resigning? To ask is to answer: There is zero chance that the Democrats would forfeit a Senate seat to a Republican-appointed successor over a principle.

I have two things to say, and they are in response to quotes from Franken:

1. "Let me be clear -- I may be resigning my seat, but I am not giving up my voice." Voice, used in this context, was made up by Oprah, and sounds very effeminate.

2. "But Minnesotans deserve a senator who can focus with all her energy on addressing the challenges they face every day." Well, there you go. He´s apparently referring to himself as "her", so I guess it makes #1 moot.

I´m so confused.

Have the wretched hags in the senate grown so powerful that they can wave their brooms and cast out the jerks, for any reason?? The first to call for Franken´s resignation was Kirsten Gillibrand, who was appointed to her senate seat by the biggest horndog in politics, ex Governor Paterson of NY. Kirsten never said a word about Paterson´s behavior.

Former President Obama and his vice president, Joe Biden, each provided last-minute help to fellow Democrat Doug Jones in Tuesday’s Alabama Senate election, but the candidate is keeping quiet about it.
