Labelling millennials ´snowflakes´
damages their mental health,
reveals survey of 16-24 year olds

Daily Mail, by Stephen Matthews

Original Article

Posted By:javaboy, 12/6/2017 2:02:06 PM

Labelling millennials ´snowflakes´ is damaging their mental health, research claims. The controversial term is now fashionable to use when describing young adults who are seen as taking offence easily and emotionally vulnerable. Almost three quarters of 16-24 year olds surveyed believe the moniker is unfair and are adamant it could negatively affect their mental health.

Comments:
It´s almost painful NOT to laugh at this one.

Snowflakes whining because they are called snowflakes.

Maybe, they need to learn how to live in the real world... Nah, that´d be too hard.

Ask me if I care one whit about the "mental health" of millennials.

My advice to them: get a job and pay off your student loans.

Their prattle and nonsense, damages the mental health of normal people. I can´t even begin to imagine an invasion of our country and expect to see any of these "SNOWFLAKES" doing anything about it except run to their safe space and weep bitterly.

If any of them have left the remedial reading program in their respective college program I hope they get to read this response.

It is long overdue to dispense with the pernicious leftwing myth that one´s emotions are controlled by what others speak or write. No one can make you angry, no one can make you upset. Snowflakes need to learn from an early age that you choose your emotional reactions to the world around you. You have control over your reactions, no one else. Putting your emotions on autopilot is no excuse. It´s your responsibility.

Soon it will be like the "n" word. To protect snowflakes we will have to start saying the "s" word.

The article referenced that the study was in Britain. A British snowflake is one of the most delicate sub-species of snowflakes, almost as weak/emotional as a Berkeley snowflake or a Manhattan snowflake.

All Snowflakes are 16-24 years old but not all 16-24 year olds are Snowflakes.

If you´re disturbed by the term...you´re a Snowflake, if not your a sane American.

Exactly #20. NO ONE can affect anyone else´s emotions. Emotions are controlled by one´s OWN thoughts. The left tries to use fake psychology by misdirecting blame for other people´s problems in order to gain control over people. It´s all about power and control with the left. They are dangerous tyrants. The scary thing is they are not only very good at what they do, but too many people are weak, stupid or have been conditioned to fall for their manipulative lies.

And yet it is "OK" for them to assault US with their anger and their foolishness? We do the things WE choose to do because they fit a moral and rational framework and we have confidence they work because they have been tested and found reliable. We are also usually open to rational discussion about needed change.

But the Left has marginalized the thinking of these young people through propaganda and indoctrination. Their beliefs are not from rational examination but from faith in their indoctrination. When challenged they have no ability to understand it as anything but an attack. They have also been swaddled since birth against challenging situations that might "upset" them. They have developed no emotional management because emotional challenges have been removed.

There is no reason to accept their weakness and inability as a reason to capitulate to stupidity.

Spoiled brats and babies sometimes go their entire lives that way. I´m not going to write off any generation. We can be proud of the kids who put it all on the line in the services and for every kid, millennial or whoever who holds down a job these days. Considering the warped damage democrats, deep state globalists and a lying media, have done to traditional American society, they need all the support they can get.

Only the worst of American media and a silly British tabloid keep fanning the flames over some really stupid, wasted youths. They are aging faster than they realize and life has a way of sorting out the losers. It´s a hard world and you better be ready when there isn´t a parent´s basement to live in. The rest of us are sorry to see our kids age up and out, but we are excited to see them turn into adults.

An MSNBC spokesman confirmed Saturday the company made a separation-related payment to one of Chris Matthews employees after the woman complained about sexual harassment. Two sources familiar with the situation told The Daily Caller that Matthews paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. An MSNBC spokesperson contested that claim to the Caller, saying the company instead paid significantly less as part of a severance package. There’s bad news and there’s worse news for President Donald Trump in new polls released this week. First comes the latest round of polling showing that Trump is the most unpopular president on record. Just 32% of respondents to a new Associated Press-NORC poll said they approved of the job Trump is doing as president, while an overwhelming 67% they disapproved. Among those who don’t think the president is doing a good job, more than half say they “strongly disapprove” of his work. The poll — conducted earlier this month — also suggests that nearly 70% of Americans believe the United States is “heading

I don’t know whether this is comedy or a sign that in rural America, Democrats really don’t have anyone to run in statewide races. There were rumors that Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) could become the next director of the CIA, current CIA Director Mike Pompeo would become secretary of state, and current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would be asked to take a hike. Talk about some unwelcome Thanksgiving news if you’re Tillerson. The Trump White House has rejected the notion that this plan is in the works. Tillerson himself said he’s never considered leaving his current post.

For much of the year, Kirsten Gillibrand’s critics — sensing a presidential aspirant in their midst — had assumed that the New York senator could not hear enough about herself. For one day at least, it appeared she had. It had been about 10 hours since President Trump accused her of “begging” for campaign contributions that she “would do anything” to secure, and the Ms. Gillibrand, driving with her 14-year-old son on Tuesday evening, flipped on the radio looking for an update on the Senate race in Alabama.
