Vice President Mike Pence and former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus considered a coup to replace then candidate Donald Trump following the release of the "Access Hollywood" tape just weeks before the 2016 presidential election, The Atlantic reported in a lengthy profile of Pence on Tuesday.

Comments:
What exactly is a ´coup´ against a candidate? Sort of like what Hillary did to Bernie?

Problem: We trust media reports even less than we trust FBI DOJ CIA DNI IRS or Herr Mueller. We always start out with it may be fake news.

Even if this is true, who the hell cares? That tape looked really bad for Trump at the time, and if Mike Pence wanted to have a Plan B to keep Hillary Rodham Rodham out of the White House, that´s OK by me. Politics is a blood sport, and America has always been much too important to entrust to the tender mercies of Mrs. William Clinton. (P.S., Can you imagine Bill Clinton padding around the White House all day in his silk dressing gown, looking for young interns to molest? Ick!)

If one listened to that tape it was pretty clear that (a) Billy was leading Trump into a “locker room” kind of banter and (b) Trump was speaking in hypotheticals about “celebrities”.

Chances are that Pence and Priebus did converse about what would happen if Trump left the Republican ticket, and that whatever really happened was embellished bigtime into a nugget of fake news when the article was published. As if Pence is such a bigtime evangelical Christian he would not be about launching a “coup” against the man who put him on the ticket in the first place.

We will know for sure if Trump runs for re-election and if Pence is no longer on the ticket.

Speaking of the FIRST actual coup, wherein first Agnew was dumped, then Nixon, looky here, someone trying to loosen the ties between Pence, who is truly loyal, and Trump. Pence is TOTALLY unacceptable to the left; htey will not dump Trump until next in line is someone else or in the hands of the Senate, so see them here trying to loose ties so when they accuse Pence of whatever Trump will not save him. See Agnew Nixon. Rinse and repeat.

As National Football League owners and players’ union representatives meet in New York today and tomorrow to discuss the players’ recent demonstrations — the kneeling, linking arms or raising fists during the national anthem — they should know how the law views these protests. This will not only tell them what the league lawfully can do; it also will reveal something about American values. There has been some confusion about the law and the anthem protests. Because the First Amendment generally treats government and corporate power differently, allowing a business to impose on its workers what the government

A mountain of food, water and other vital supplies has arrived in Puerto Rico´s main Port of San Juan. But a shortage of truckers and the island´s devastated infrastructure are making it tough to move aid to where it´s needed most, officials say. At least 10,000 containers of supplies -- including food, water and medicine -- were sitting Thursday at the San Juan port, said Jose Ayala, the Crowley shipping company´s vice president in Puerto Rico. Part of the reason for the distribution backlog is that only 20% of truck drivers have reported back to work since Hurricane Maria swept through, according to a representative fo

I´m pretty much done with the sex scandals. They were fun, but they´re just going to have to carry on without me. If someone broke the law and you can prove it, prosecute him. If someone violated the rules of his organization, eject him. Other than that, if women have forgotten the fine art of slapping a man in the face, there´s not a whole hell of a lot society can do for them. You keep silent for forty years and then ruin a man´s career with an unprovable allegation — and that makes you a hero? Not to me. Look,

Prior to President Donald Trump’s visit to the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum today, Fox & Friends brought on Trump supporter and former sheriff David Clarke to discuss the president’s appearance. And things got very tense very fast. Right off the bat, co-host Pete Hegseth asked Clarke what he thought about Rep. Clarke reacted by immediately dismissing Lewis. “John who?” Clarke mocking stated. “John Lewis — he was bloodied on the Selma bridge, Sheriff, when trying to protest voting

WASHINGTON — Around 5:30 each morning, President Trump wakes and tunes into the television in the White House’s master bedroom.
