LaVar Ball pulls son

LaVar Ball told ESPN that he has pulled his son LiAngelo out of UCLA. "We are exploring other options with Gelo," LaVar Ball said on Monday. "He´s out of there." "I´m going to make him way better for the draft than UCLA ever could have." LaVar Ball LiAngelo Ball, a freshman, is one of three UCLA basketball players who were indefinitely suspended after a shoplifting incident in China in November. For pity sakes, isn´t little LiAngelo an adult who can make up his own mind? Why is it daddy who pulled him out of the university?

At least he is being honest.

Education means NOTHING to these people. All college is to them is the minor leagues for their sport. Go get some TV time and experience before leaving as soon as possible for the pros.

And daddy is a perfect example of the type of idiocy that comes from that mindset.

It’s not about being college material. These athletes are not rocket scientists. They don’t receive scholarships for their academic ability.

That said, apparently LiAngelo was not a prime candidate for the NBA before the shoplifting in China. And #3 son may have been disqualified from college program because his name is on one of Daddy’s line of shoes…

LaVar is not as smart as he thinks he is. Sounds as though UCLA is sick of the entire Ball family.

Dear (College of your choice),

My son, Jello, would like to spend a year or two at your school in order to prepare himself for a career in the NBA. His honesty and integrity have suffered from a case of Chinese stereotyping and he isn´t the brightest kid in the world but he would like to take up Space. His previous choice of major is unimportant because we all know he is a natural for Party Studies we understand that African Studies is no doubt filled to capacity. Please consider him for the Fall, 2018 semester to give him time to regrow his Eraserhead hair style.

Thanks Bro,
LaVar Ball

And I´m pretty sure that by saying he´s exploring looking at contracts with overseas teams, he has forfeited his college eligibility. And basketball coaches across the land said "Whew"

I´m so tired of illiterate black "athletes" roaming the college halls! Try getting a higher education first!!!

Eliminate sports from college and designate college for what it was intended--HIGHER EDUCATION!!!

Tell all of the ghetto illegitimate children that they will no longer get big money for running up and down with a "ball"...

To some that may seem extreme...too bad.

I am so sick of these 73% illegitimate children getting so much money for playing with a ball!!! They´re not there to learn, to be smart, they´re there for a big cash handout from the NBA/NFL cabal of asshats!

These families of these athletic illegitimate´s are waiting for the cash handout, much like gambling or playing the lottery....Get a career!!!

LaVar Ball is a jerk....Trump was right!

Nice to have dreams Mr. Ball. Maybe if you had done your duty by your son, he would not have gotten into trouble in the first place.

What decent parent torpedoes his kid´s future like this guy is doing? Denying him an education, and then killing his career changes as well. The NBA has to be watching what is going on right now with the NFL and fans, and if they are smart, they are doing something to avoid that in their own sport.

What team with any intelligence is going to want to take on the interfering circus that would come with signing on that kid?

All that academic work down the drain; all that midnight oil burned in vain.

It always seemed that masculine icon (in his own mind) LaVar Ball (whose certain sperm "don´t put out no girls") didn´t see much need in academic achievement for his sons, who were all destined for the NBA. Until they weren´t.

My father, whose two sons both gravitated to athletics played in public, supported us to the hilt, but from afar, and let us and our coaches work out the details. (Mostly, we learned everything on our own.) I´ve seen some over-concerned fathers turn their sons´ lives into a slice of hell on earth by trying to micromanage everything. One day after a match I heard a father yell to his son (whom I had beaten 2-1), "Why did you hit that 2-iron on #8?" The father got in his car and screeched off. I went to my fellow competitor who appeared about ready to cry, and said, "You hit the right club on #8. A PGA Tour player wouldn´t have had an easy time of it from there. Don´t let him get you down."

I see this as a win for everyone - UCLA who no longer has to put up with the father - the other players whose suspensions will probably be shorter now that LiAngelo is now no longer at UCLA. The entire UCLA basketball team and all their opponents who won´t have to put up with questions. And LiAngelo who can find out soon if he is cut out for the NBA. There is always someone bigger in the NBA - and someone with a bigger mouth - LiAngelo will have to succeed or fail on his ability.

And yes this reminded me of that classic teacher name legend of the twins named OrAnge´jello and LeMon"jello - though I don´t think it is true I have had several colleagues swear to me that their aunt, sister, or mother had a friend who had a friend who taught those twins.

If the two younger Balls are not NBA material, then he should have kept them @ UCLA to get a degree. But this father does not value education.

We see numerous "one and done´s" who squander their lives and their potential when they could play 4 years, get a degree and possibly All American status and a large NBA contract in the end. It´s pretty stupid.

Politico has published a long, anonymously sourced piece reporting that House speaker Paul Ryan is planning to leave office after the 2018 midterms. Coming with perfect timing against a similar Huffington Post piece, it has the look of a media hit job. The goal is for the swamp to think Ryan is a lame duck so he can no longer be effective as House speaker. According to the piece, Ryan wants out to...spend more time with his family. That´s a hackneyed reason, all right, and usually reserved for someone who´s going out in disgrace. Politico supported it a little by citing

The Democrats backed away from their threat to shut the government down if Congress didn´t amnesty Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients. This should be a clue to DACA recipients that they have been used as political tools all along. Because for a while there, nothing was more important to Democrats than getting these foreigners the benefits of U.S. residency and citizenship. They wouldn´t budge. Border control had to go, too. They´d never bend, they said. It was baffling. They were willing to shut the entire government down if DACA recipients didn´t get to stay here, even though there were only

One of the more obvious things about the Trump economy is how much better it is than the Obama economy. Yet incredibly, President Obama, as if jealously looking on at this night-and-day difference, is trying to claim credit for it. From the Washington Times: Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth.

Jerry Brown is at it again. Compare and contrast to President Trump´s gracious tweet on the matter, which was the classy thing to say: Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of California’s wildfires. LOS ANGELES – A flare-up on the western edge of Southern California´s largest and most destructive wildfire sent residents fleeing Sunday, as wind-fanned flames churned through canyons and down hillsides toward coastal towns. Crews with help from water-dropping aircraft saved several homes as unpredictable gusts sent the blaze churning deeper into foothill areas northwest of Los Angeles that haven´t burned in decades. New evacuations were ordered in Carpinteria, a seaside city in Santa Barbara County that has been under fire threat for days. After more than a decade of studying wildfires, San Diego County took its final exams last week. Did we pass? Authorities say the region is far better equipped to handle swift, wind-whipped flames than it was during the firestorms of 2007 and ’03. “We’re about $460 million more prepared,” Supervisor Dianne Jacob said Friday, “both on the ground and in the air.” Officials cited better communication between fire agencies; more fire engines and air tankers on the front lines, day and night; and better tracking of the flames. Despite these advances, the Lilac Fire’s first 24 hours consumed 4,100 acres

A professor at Boston University has proclaimed Christmas carol favorite “Jingle Bells” to be a “racist song” and is urging people to shun the jaunty tune. Kyna Hamill, a theater history professor at Boston University, recently told the Boston Globe that the venerable Christmas song has a “secret” racist past that has been “systematically” hidden from Americans as they celebrate the Christmas season. “The history of the song has remained hidden behind its local and season affection,” Hamill told the paper. She continued saying the song’s “blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history.” (Tweet/Video) Hamill

Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump´s entire life. Last summer, Trump expressed disappointment in Sessions, calling him "beleaguered," wondering why Sessions wasn´t looking into Hillary Clinton´s emails and true election chicanery. Rudy Giuliani was floated as a possible replacement. Was Trump truly

Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder threatened Republicans in Congress against removing Special Counsel Robert Mueller the day after GOP congressmen grilled Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over Mueller stacking his team of Trump investigators with Hillary Clinton donors and lawyers. Holder issued his threat in a tweet Wednesday morning. Eric Holder, image via screengrab. “Speaking on behalf of the vast majority of the American people, Republicans in Congress be forewarned:any attempt to remove Bob Mueller will not be tolerated. These are BS attacks on him/his staff that are blatantly political-designed to hide the real wrongdoing. Female actresses attending this year’s Golden Globes ceremony are reportedly planning to wear only black in protest of the widening sexual abuse scandal that has engulfed Hollywood this year.According to E! News, the plan originally started with just a small group of women but gradually grew as other women wished to express solidarity. “So all of the female actresses and attendees, or most of them at least, are standing in solidarity together in a form of protest,” said ceremony host Jackie Oshry on The Morning Breath radio show. “They’re all going to be wearing black, obviously to protest the injustices

Alabama is one of the most reliably Republican states in the country. The last time a Democrat was elected was in 1992, and no Democrat has won more than 40 percent of the vote in a Senate race there since 1996. The closest election in recent memory was in 2002, when Jeff Sessions won re-election by a razor-thin margin of 19 points. Sen. Richard Shelby has won his last three elections by 35 points, 30 points and 28 points, respectively. So it takes a special kind of stupid to pick a candidate who can lose to a Democrat in Alabama.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders trolled April Ryan with a homemade pecan pie on Wednesday evening and it was glorious. (Photos) The Gateway Pundit’s Kristinn Taylor previously reported, April Ryan, White House reporter for American Urban Radio networks and CNN analyst, demanded President Donald Trump’s Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders provide proof she baked a pie she tweeted a photo of on Thanksgiving Day. April Ryan demanded, “Show it to us on the table with folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it.” So that’s exactly what fearless warrior Sarah Sanders did Wednesday evening! Sarah Sanders

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) is proposing a new motto for the city that takes aim at President Trump. Emanuel, who served as chief of staff under former President Barack Obama, told Stephen Colbert that he has declared Chicago a “Trump-free zone” and joked that its new motto is “A city he’ll never sleep in.” “We don’t want him,” Emanuel said on “The Late Show” Wednesday night. Emanuel told Colbert that multiple Chicago initiatives, such as public scholarships available to recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration program and environmental regulations, do not line up with the

Scandal: For 18 months, the FBI has been fixated on determining whether President Trump worked with Russia to influence the 2016 election. But explosive text exchanges between top FBI agents suggest it should be looking in the mirror. The text messages sent between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, which became public on Wednesday, provide a rare and illuminating window into just how rabidly partisan putatively nonpartisan law enforcement officials can be. In the exchanges, they called Trump an "idiot," a "loathsome human," an "enormous do-che," and said "this man cannot be president." When not berating Trump, they were praising Hillary Clinton. In one

Spirits were high inside the House chamber on Thursday, November 16, when, in the early afternoon, the gavel fell and a measure to rewrite the American tax code passed on a partisan tally of 227 to 205. As the deciding votes were cast—recorded in green on the black digital scoreboard suspended above the floor—the speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, threw his head back and slammed his hands together. Soon he was engulfed in a sea of dark suits, every Republican lawmaker wanting to slap him on the shoulder and be a part of his moment. Ryan was the man of

Boykin says peacekeeping forces are needed to fight the “quiet genocide” in the streets of Chicago. First, as the week began, came news of an attempted Islamic terrorist attack at New York’s Port Authority Bus Terminal…and next came everything we needed to know about the Mainstream News Media, which has once again, or finally become a punch line and a laughingstock. We need to exclude Fox News from that leftist cabal. Only Fox News still gives it mostly straight up, mostly fair and balanced. That same evening, visiting family when the Network News just came on, my son said, “Dad, which do you want first, the anti-cop story, the anti-Israel story, or the anti-Trump story?” That was ABC,

Democrats´ shocking victory in the Alabama Senate special election undoubtedly has raised their potential list of seats they might win. If they can win in the Deep South, they can win anywhere. High on the list of reach targets is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who is up for re-election in 2018. Hillary Clinton did quite well in Texas, only losing by 9 points (better than she did in Iowa) — as compared to nearly 28 points in Alabama. What´s more, Democrats have a solid candidate in the form of Rep. Beto O´Rourke from El Paso. It is true, of course,
