Special prosecutor Robert Mueller zeroed in on President Donald Trump’s business dealings with Deutsche Bank AG as his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in U.S. elections widens. Mueller issued a subpoena to Germany’s largest lender several weeks ago, forcing the bank to submit documents on its relationship with Trump and his family, according to a person briefed on the matter, who asked not to be identified because the action has not been announced. “Deutsche Bank always cooperates with investigating authorities in all countries,” the lender said in a statement to Bloomberg Tuesday, declining to provide additional information. Comments: Oh groan. Sorry to be repetitive, but this is just an outrageous witch hunt in search of a crime. I just get furious when I think that Sessions has allowed this. The reason for a special prosecutor is to investigate a crime that has been committed. There has been no crime!! It´s also outrageous that there are no restrictions on Mueller´s scope of investigation. I´m apoplectic over the destruction of our government.
Inquisitor Mueller, stooge of Clinton and BarackHussein, is making Deplorable Nation very, very, very, very, very angry. Believe me, stooge, you don´t want to mess with a very, very, very, very, very angry Deplorable Nation.
WHY are the Republican "leadership" doing nothing about this travesty? Can you imagine the Democrats if their president were being persecuted in this way, they would go crazy. Mueller and his "investigators" need to be investigated now.
Somewhere, there is an i not dotted or t not crossed.
In the course of running a multi-billion dollar global corporation, even the best and brightest will run afoul of the law somewhere. As I see it, Muller is going after process violations, since he cant prove collusion.
The day it was learned that the entire investigation is based on a lie concocted by Hillary´s campaign was the day it should have been stopped.
But since we missed that train Mueller should be called before Congress this morning to demonstrate the link to collusion between Trump and the Russians. Failure to identify that link should end it today, before noon.
According to the Swamp, one must be a card-carrying member of the Swamp in order to be allowed to be President. Famous internationally successful American-patriot business people with interests in dozens of countries must thereby be destroyed.
WE THE PEOPLE have other ideas however. Go POTUS GO, MAGA!!
This is exactly the same script the democrats used in Wisconsin to attempt to bring down Scott Walker. Middle of the night swat team raids on people (whose records/computers still have not been returned), constant leaks about how Walker is going down any day now. A witch hunt that began when Walker (as county executive)requested an investigation into theft from a charity. It rapidly metastasized into an investigation into ´illegal campaign co-ordination´ which was finally shut down by the courts being legal nonsense. Same play, different actors.
this investigation has gone past the ridiculous point. mr. trump, sir, shut it down....now. save the taxpayers a ton of money. let mueller and his attorneys find some other means of making a living. while you´r at it, clean house. fire every dang person associated with the obongo administration, down to the guy that winds the clocks in the white house. i hold you responsible for holding on to these people who are not on your side! you have the power!
A caller to Rush Limbaugh’s program yesterday pondered the possibility of President Trump and Robert Mueller working together to “weed out the FBI” and the Mike Flynn “thing” is a ruse. Rush was taken aback not having heard anything along the line of the President and Mueller working together. While it may be an outlandish scheme, perhaps there is, as has been previously suggested, a brilliant chess game unfolding designed to expose massive corruption within select government agencies that might otherwise have eluded the American electorate and allowed to continue undermining the foundation on which this historic nation was built.
Maybe Pres. Trump should hide these bank records in the WH until the statute of limitations is over, ala the Rose Law Firm Billing Records. Just another law Hillary broke for which she will never be prosecuted.
Clearly what the DC “Swamp” is doing is discouraging all future Republican businesspeople year showing them that if they run for President in the future that the Democrats will place them under a criminal investigation, and will rummage through their business affairs from years ago without predication, looking for any sort of suspected process crime that can be used against him or her. Until the Congress does away with Special Counsels we will continue to see Democrat inspired witch hunts reminiscent of the “Banana Republic” days designed to criminalize politics, anytime a Republican President is elected.
Mueller has jumped the shark with this! He has over-reached his dubious designated authority, apparently on his own politically driven witch hunt! The man who once appeared to be trustworthy instead has no ethics at all. -Stunning.
The Justice Department announced Friday that they intend to re-try Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) after a deadlocked jury resulted in a mistrial in November. “Defendants Robert Menendez and Salomon Melgen have been indicted for bribery and corruption by two separate grand juries properly empaneled in the District of New Jersey,” a notice from the Justice Department reads. “The first trial ended in a mistrial with a deadlocked jury. An early retrial date is in the best interests of the public, and the United States is available to schedule a retrial at the Court’s earliest convenience.” Prosecutors allege that Menendez engaged in a bribery
Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) said Friday there are still "a number of disagreements" with President Trump on immigration and spending with a government shutdown set to go into effect at midnight. "We made some progress but we still have a good number of disagreements. The discussion will continue," Schumer told reporters outside the Capitol after a meeting with Trump. Schumer, returning from an impromptu meeting at the White House, said he had "a very detailed meeting" with Trump that covered all the "outstanding issues" holding up a government funding bill but failed to reach a deal. The lack
Investigators scanning computers belonging to Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock found “numerous” child pornography photos, the city’s sheriff revealed Friday, adding that the FBI is looking into a person of interest in the case. It was Joe Lombardo’s first press conference since Oct. 13, 2017. Police also released a 81-page preliminary investigative report on the shooting Friday, containing new photographs of Paddock´s hotel suite and online searches he conducted before the attack, such as for SWAT tactics and other potential public venue targets. “I’ve lost a lot of sleep over this,” bemoans Sheriff Joe Lombardo, of the #LasVegasShooting investigation. pic.twitter.com/Ywegpzbw72 — Craig Fiegener (@CraigNews3LV)
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Friday that Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has become "sort of the Steve King of the Senate," a reference to one of the House´s most ardent immigration hardliners. In an interview with MSNBC, Graham, who has advocated for legislative protections for young, undocumented immigrants, rejected the notion of ending family-based immigration in exchange for enshrining the protections of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program into law. A proposal by Cotton and Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) seeks to end so-called chain migration, which allows U.S. citizens and permanent residents to sponsor family members abroad to
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released 78 pages of new documents from the U.S. Department of State containing emails of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent and received over her unsecure, non-“state.gov” email system. Three of the email exchanges include classified information. The emails also reveal that Clinton had detailed knowledge about the security issues with in her non-State Department email system. On March 8, 2011, Hillary Clinton sent classified information regarding Bahrain to Justin Cooper, who reportedly had no security clearance, with instructions to show it to Bill Clinton.
White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said Friday that if the government shuts down, it won’t be as bad as 2013 because the Obama administration did things to make that shutdown worse. Mulvaney said “the Obama administration weaponized the shutdown in 2013” for political purposes by closing popular attractions like national parks. He claimed the Trump administration isn’t planning to do the same. “We´re going to manage the shutdown differently. We´re not going to weaponize it," the budget director told reporters at the White House. "We’re not going to try and hurt people,
The House on Friday once again rejected an effort by Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) to impeach President Trump, in a sign of inflamed partisan tensions ahead of a midnight deadline to avoid a government shutdown. Green, who has agitated for Trump’s impeachment for months, forced a procedural vote on articles of impeachment following Trump’s Oval Office comments last week describing Haiti and African nations as “sh**hole countries” while expressing a preference for immigrants from places like Norway. It failed by a 355-66 vote, with three Democrats voting "present." Trump made the comments during a meeting with members of Congress about
Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson provided the House Intelligence Committee with no evidence to support the allegations from the infamous Steele dossier, the salacious document that his firm commissioned while on the payroll of the Clinton campaign and DNC. But Simpson did offer some new information in the Nov. 14 testimony, a transcript of which was released by the Intelligence Committee on Thursday. (Snip) Simpson made a jarring revelation in his House testimony. He disclosed for the first time that he met just after the election with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr. Ohr was demoted from his position as deputy
A Harvard Law School professor and Newsweek magazine were recently mocked after uncritically suggesting a scenario in which Hillary Clinton could still become the president. Lawrence Lessig, the Roy L. Furman professor of law and leadership at Harvard Law School, outlined a scenario in which the former senator could take the reins of power in the event of a series of impeachments of the Trump administration. If President Trump resigns or gets impeached, Vice President Mike Pence resigns or is impeached and House Speaker Paul Ryan – who would legally become the heir to the top job – appoints Clinton
To understand the Four Page House Intelligence Memo at the heart of today’s FISA Abuse stories, it helps to understand why the memo is needed. We wrote about the issue in a March 2017 outline called: “The Nunes Paradox” – SEE HERE As the year-long story has unfolded, there are two central components at the heart of the political corruption and weaponization of the DOJ and FBI: First, corruption within the DOJ and FBI that included their use of unlawful use of FISA-702 exploits; and Second, how that intelligence information was extracted, passed along to those outside government, repackaged, and
Shoppers at Whole Foods Markets across the U.S. have been astonished to discover empty shelves at their local stores in recent months, with one customer describing the stores as "the Soviet Safeway." Barclay analysts found stores in disarray with "entirely empty" shelves and deteriorating produce, Business Insider reported. "Analysts said they encountered ´high´ out-of-stock issues last week in every department of one Midwest store across both private-label items and branded items," according to the report. One East Coast store had "extraordinary" inventory problems, according to the analyst. "The store had no bananas and the supply of eggs and Tropicana products
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce plans to soon announce a proposal for the Trump administration and Congress to raise the federal gas tax by 25 cents per gallon to help pay for an infrastructure package. Chamber President Thomas Donohue told the Washington Post Tuesday that the nation´s biggest business lobby wants “to put our oar in the water” but acknowledged it would be “a tough vote” to raise the gasoline tax for the first time since 1993. “I’ve been pushing this for a long, long time, but now gangs of people are pushing it,” Donohue said. The increase would raise more
A review of a classified document outlining what is described as extensive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse was made available to all House members Thursday and the revelations could lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, several sources with knowledge of the document stated. These sources say the report is “explosive,” stating they would not be surprised if it leads to the end of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation into President Trump and his associates. The House Intelligence Committee passed the motion along party lines Thursday to make the classified report alleging extensive
WASHINGTON- President Donald Trump relentlessly congratulates himself for the healthy state of the U.S. economy, with its steady growth, low unemployment, busier factories and confident consumers. But in the year since Trump´s inauguration, most analysts tend to agree on this: The economy remains essentially the same sturdy one he inherited from Barack Obama.Growth has picked up, but it´s not yet clear if it can sustain a faster expansion. Hiring and wage growth actually slowed slightly from Obama´s last year in office. Consumers and businesses are much more optimistic, but their spending has yet to move meaningfully higher. "I don´t see any
Republicans are slamming Democratic Sen. Cory Booker for “mansplaining” to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in a sharp and one-sided exchange Wednesday before a Senate committee. The New Jersey lawmaker blasted Nielsen´s "silence and amnesia" after failing to get the response he sought on her recollection of statements President Trump made in a meeting last week. Booker´s hostile tone prompted Republican National Committee Rapid Response Director Michael Ahrens to invoke the millennial term for males talking down to women.
After leaving office, President Ronald Reagan created the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award to recognize individuals who have fought to spread liberty worldwide. Nancy Reagan continued the tradition after her husband’s death, and in 2008 she bestowed the honor on human rights icon Natan Sharansky, who credited Reagan’s strong defense of freedom for his own survival in Soviet gulags. Reagan recognized that as leader of the free world, his words carried enormous weight, and he used it to inspire the unprecedented spread of democracy around the world. President Donald Trump does not seem to understand that his rhetoric and actions reverberate in
Men can now look forward to a liberated future of wearing dresses. One such fashion designer, Alejandro Gomez Palomo of Spain, is helping to rush in that new era. According to the 25-year-old Palomo, whose public appearance looks as if Dracula spent a weekend at Liberace´s house, gender fluidity is a way of life he hopes that future men can share. In an interview with AFP, Palomo likened his fashion revolution to the ones ushered by Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in the 20th century. "Chanel liberated women (after World War I) by dressing them in male fabrics like tweed,"
Pope Francis has conferred the title of “Commander of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great” on Lilianne Ploumen, a Dutch politician and vocal agitator for abortion rights. Last year, Ploumen founded a pro-abortion organization called She Decides, which offers funding and support for international NGOs that provide, facilitate or campaign for abortion. In an email to the Catholic Herald, Ms. Ploumen said that she was “very honoured” by the pontifical medal, which was sent via the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs last month. In an interview with Dutch radio, Ploumen said she views the honor as a
Obama’s current office, which is run by former de facto President Valerie Jarrett, is just a mile or so from the White House. It is at that location one sees a daily procession of donors, political operatives, party affiliates (BOTH Democrat and Republican) media friends (of which there are many) and more shadowy figures representing a myriad of foreign interests. And each day this office and its two primary inhabitants – Obama and Jarrett, are asked the same question: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT TRUMP? Obama being Obama, with his solar-system-sized ego intact, has been promising to do
The House Intel panel’s passage of New York Republican Rep. Peter King’s motion to release the FISA abuse memo to fellow House members has rocked Washington, D.C. (Photo) Lawmakers from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) have called for the classified memo’s immediate release. According to Fox News contributor Sara Carter, the contents of the memo are so “explosive,” that it could end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe once and for all.Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino warned the release of the FISA report will destroy the image of his former boss Barack Obama.“Take it to
California lawmakers are targeting the expected windfall companies in the state would see under the federal tax overhaul with a bill that would require businesses to turn over half to the state. A proposed Assembly Constitutional Amendment by Assemblymen Kevin McCarty, D -Sacramento and Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, would create a tax surcharge on California companies making more than $1 million so that half of their federal tax cut would instead go to programs that benefit low-income and middle class families.
Former FBI director James B. Comey is joining the faculty of his alma mater, the College of William & Mary, and plans to teach a course on ethical leadership at the school’s Washington center starting in the fall. Comey, whom President Trump fired last year, will have a nontenured position as an executive professor in education, the school announced Friday. His course will be offered through the W&M Washington Center to students of the public college based in Williamsburg, Va. Comey will teach the course in fall 2018, spring 2019 and summer 2019 with executive assistant professor Drew Stelljes.
Microwaves are as damaging to the environment as cars and users must be taught how to cook more efficiently, scientists say. The ovens are responsible for 7.7 million tons of the carbon dioxide pumped out from the EU each year — the equivalent of 6.8 million cars. Researchers say they are fueling global warming with consumers overcooking food to blame. Microwaves account for the largest percentage of sales of all types of oven in the EU, with numbers set to reach 135 million by 2020. But scientists at the University of Manchester — the first to assess the environmental impact
Far from content living his golden years on the $400,000 speech and lecture circuit of other former presidents, President Obama has been busy with clawing back for his old power. He´s actually covertly plotting to oust his democratically elected successor, President Trump, vowing to his associates to "rip him a new one," in the 2018 midterm elections. Seems he´s not all that interested in watching his youngest daughter grow up. That´s the word from DCWhispers, which reports that Obama´s Kalorama mansion, in the heart of the capital´s most tony district, is the center of significant comings and goings among the Obamatons,
