It Is Now an Obstruction Investigation
National Review Online, by Andrew C. McCarthy

The smoke is clearing from an explosive Mueller investigation weekend of charges, chattering, and tweets. Before the next aftershock, it might be helpful to make three points about where things stand. In ascending order of importance, they are: 1.) There is a great deal of misinformation in the commentariat about how prosecutors build cases. 2.) For all practical purposes, the collusion probe is over. While the “counterintelligence” cover will continue to be exploited so that no jurisdictional limits are placed on Special Counsel Robert Mueller, this is now an obstruction investigation. 3.) That means it is, as it has always

If you want to see some obstruction of justice all you have to do is look at Comey´s action regarding Hillary Clinton.

Comey obstructed justice when he laid out a perfect case against Hillary and then refused to indict her. This is REAL obstruction and not just a casual statement about "taking it easy" on Flynn.

Comey, the corrupted, lying former head of the FBI should be indicted, Found guilty and put away for a loooong time.

The Resistance, the criminals pursuing this brazenly corrupt coup attempt, should keep in mind that, should they ever even touch President Trump, a veritable ocean of armed and infuriated Deplorables are ready and eager to defend him....

This is not good. Mueller, as we´ve always suspected, is a swamp creature working to protect the swamp. And that means getting rid of President Trump. What is so different about Mueller´s investigation as opposed to the Scooter Libby persecution (not a typo) and Watergate, is that many millions of Americans are keenly aware of the far greater obstruction of justice by Comey/FBI/DOJ in regards to the Clinton email/server matter. Americans are also aware of the Uranium One Matter, in which the FBI hid damaging information about the Russian buyers. To watch Mueller and his band of merry Democrat aggressive litigators going after Mr. Trump, is not to watch justice. It is pure injustice.

Expect this farce to mutate from one thing to another as part of a calculated delaying tactic designed to get democRATs over the hump. String it along long enough and pretty soon voila! - another election where they are pinning their hopes on a democRAT win (with enough voter fraud) so that they can sweep eight years of absolute corruption under the rug and pretend like never even happened or just call it "old news"!

How could you call obstruction when it is so blatantly so obvious how corrupt and incompetent Comey was / is? The real investigation needs to be of the corrupt / weaponized FBI by the Obama administration.
Obama, Comey, Holder, Mueller, etc. should be the new targets.

So, had this unconstitutional insurrection never taken place there could be no "obstruction of justice" claim possible?

This is beginning to remind me of 1986 when the the people of Arizona elected their 17th governor, Evan "Ev" Mecham who, as a car dealer, was well out of "mainstream politics." It only took a year before the leftist media made him into a crazed lunatic who needed to be removed from office. A young pol, the ´war hero´ John McCain was also opposed to Mecham´s existence in politics (interesting coincidence).

From Wikipedia re: Evan Meachum:
"Having served from January 6, 1987, to April 4, 1988, Mecham was removed from office following conviction in his impeachment trial of charges of the obstruction of justice and the misuse of government funds – funds that Mecham maintained were private. A later criminal trial acquitted Mecham of related charges."

Of course the POTUS wields much more power than a governor, but this will clearly damage POTUS for 2020, and hurt the GOP chances in 2018. He´d better regain control of this situation quickly by exposing more lies and subversions on the part of Mueller and crew and the rest of the Deep State traitors. The GOPe has a choice here, there´s no sitting this one out on the sideline. You´re either IN this FIGHT or OUT and back home forever.

I dont understand why NOBODY doesnt pressure Rosenstein to place parameters on Muellers investigation. He got unlimited financing, unlimited powers to investigate, unlimited time, unlimited everything.

It just doesn´t make sense. I have no clue how I, an average citizen can see this (from the start) and how elected politicians CAN NOT or WILL NOT see this. Its as simple as ABC. This will eventually kill Trumps Presidency if it is let to go on like this forever.

I know that many American voters (and illegal immigrants and ex-cons) are stupid, but are most of the politicians this stupid too? Amazing, just amazing.

The real question here is how and why Republicans embraced the idea of a special prosecutor to begin with. And what in the world was in Session´s mind when he recused himself.
This was a train wreck just waiting to happen. Only an idiot wouldn´t have seen the steam and heard the chug chug chug. And now we hear the whistle blow. Is it any wonder?

So far, this is going the way the Dems want. They got the DOJ to recuse himself, so he cant get involved in the inter workings of Mueller´s team. Andy may be correct that the Obstruction of Justice avenue may be the most detrimental to Trump, but only if Sessions allows the farce of an investigation to continue.

Seems to me, its a race to see what truths come out against Hillary and her crimes, before Mueller can cobble together his justification for his existence. Lets expose it all and see who actually deserves to be in jail!

Since neither the Flynn single count guilty plea nor fhe Manafort indictments have nothing, nada, to do with Russian - Trump collusion, shouldn´t Jeff Sessions end his recusal? Mueller can keep interrogating everyone in the WH, including the tourists who pass through, but nothing of substance will come of it, and both Mueller and Sessions know this. So, end this now stale recusal so that Sessions can investigate Clinton, Obama, Comey and ironically, Mueller, for Uranium One and other scandals.

Get out and vote in November ´18. If an increased Republican majority with greater portion of Trumpers in it is returned it is the end of the matter. With the passage of tax reform that is exactly what it is beginning to look like. A Democrat House and impeachment will be the first order of business in January ´19. Simple as that. This whole thing has always been political and will continue to be so. It will not go away by cursing at the ´Rat Party, Deep State, Mueller or whatever.

I don´t like Trump´s Lawyer. Talk about waving a red flag. Most Americans want EVERYONE accountable to the Law - perhaps especially th man in charge. It came across very Elitist for him to declare the President can´t be charged with obstruction. Even true-blue Trumpists might have trouble with that one.

That said, if the Washington Elites try to engineer a coup, I think this time there will be blood in the streets. Americans want change, we want accountability that has been sorely lacking for decades.

So far as the media goes, I would not cry a tear if every one of their stations and outlets burned to the ground. They stopped being guardians of Liberty long ago. Now they´re merely hacks. Anyone who buys the line that a reporter´s duty is to shape public opinion has taken lessons from Goebbels and Alinsky.

Special prosecutors, investigators, and counsels are usually a bad idea. They are admissions that constitutionally mandated institutions don’t work — and can be rescued only by supposed superhuman moralists, who are without the innate biases inherent in human nature. The record from Lawrence Walsh to Ken Starr to Patrick Fitzgerald suggests otherwise. Originally narrow mandates inevitably expand — on the cynical theory that everyone has something embarrassing to hide. Promised “short” timelines and limited budgets are quickly forgotten. Prosecutors search for ever new crimes to justify the expense and public expectations of the special-counsel appointment. Soon the investigators need to

It’s a wonder that President Trump devotes so much time to discrediting the press, when the press does so much to discredit itself. The media’s errors over the last week haven’t been marginal or coincidental, but involved blockbuster reports on one of the most dominating stories of the last year — Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. And they all slanted one way — namely, toward lurid conclusions about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with the Russians. Every media outlet makes mistakes. Ted] Kennedy grabs the five-foot-three, 103-pound waitress and throws her on the table. She lands on her back, scattering crystal, plates and cutlery and the lit candles. Several glasses and a crystal candlestick are broken. Kennedy then picks her up from the table and throws her on [Sen. Chris] Dodd, who is sprawled in a chair. On Monday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour President Donald Trump should resign over the sexual misconduct allegations against him. Gillibrand said, “President Trump should resign. These allegations are credible, they are numerous. I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking. And President Trump should resign his position.” She added, “Whether he will ever hold himself accountable is something you really can’t hold your breath for. And so, Congress should have hearings. They should do their investigation. They should have appropriate investigations of his behavior and hold him accountable.”

A supposed "rising star" at the State Department has resigned in anger over President Trump´s and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson´s policies. Elizabeth Shackelford gave her resignation letter to the left-leaning Foreign Policy magazine, which was, of course, all too happy to publish it. Shackelford´s letter says she believes the new administration has abandoned human rights as a priority, and shows disdain for the State Department´s diplomatic work. "I have deep respect for the career Foreign and Civil Service staff who, despite the stinging disrespect this Administration has shown our profession, continue the struggle to keep our foreign policy on the positive

A heartbreaking video of a young boy pleading to be left alone by bullies has gone viral and celebrities are offering him their support.Keaton Jones, of Knoxville, Tennessee, asked his mother, Kimberly Jones, a question that so many people would like the answer too. ´Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What´s the point of it? Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to them,´ Keaton asked his mother through tears. ´It´s not okay,´ he said. (Video/Photos) His mother then asked: ´What did they say to you?´ ´They make fun

The rules of interaction between women and men in the workplace have been changed with a suddenness that inevitably produces unforeseen negative consequences, no matter how positive and necessary the switch might be. (snip) With the stakes so high, given the presumption of female veracity and male culpability anytime an objection is raised, men are, frankly, terrified. Get used to it, ladies. That is the other side of the coin of the new normal. The old norms that men (often cluelessly) incorporated into their behavior now have been discarded, but we have no clear understanding of what should replace them. By

A suspect is in custody following an explosion at one of New York City’s busiest transit hubs in Times Square during Monday morning’s rush hour, police said. The bombing suspect was identified as Akayed Ullah, 27, according to New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill. Ullah had an explosive device strapped to his body, O’Neill said. What do we know about the suspect? Law enforcement sources told Fox News Ullah lives in Brooklyn. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the explosion was an “attempted terrorist attack.” Sources told the Associated Press that Ullah may be of Bangladeshi descent. What else do we know about the

Several women who have accused US President Donald Trump of sexual assault and harassment were expected Monday to call on Congress to open an investigation. A press conference by the women will be hosted by Brave New Films, a media company that recently produced a clip detailing sexual harassment or assault claims by 16 women against Trump. A press release from Brave New Films on Sunday said the women would relate their accounts of Trump’s alleged “groping, fondling, forcibly kissing, humiliating, and harassing women.” The White House has dismissed all of the accusations as lies. During Trump’s presidential campaign, more than

One of the more obvious things about the Trump economy is how much better it is than the Obama economy. Yet incredibly, President Obama, as if jealously looking on at this night-and-day difference, is trying to claim credit for it. From the Washington Times: Former President Barack Obama is taking credit for the robust economic growth that is taking place under President Trump. At a conference of mayors in Chicago, Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth.

President Trump attacked Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) in a sexually suggestive tweet Tuesday morning that implied Gillibrand would do just about anything for money, prompting a swift and immediate backlash. “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Charles E. Schumer and someone who would come to my office ´begging´ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump,” the president wrote. “Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”

Let´s begin with some accusations. They are well founded and as credible as any against Roy Moore – perhaps more so. The FBI´s first director, J. Edgar Hoover, was reputed to have compiled incriminating dossiers on just about every top office-holder in Washington, D.C., up to and including the presidents, under several of whose tenures Hoover served. Whenever there was talk of firing him, Hoover reportedly met with the contemporary chief of state and persuaded him to retain him (Hoover) in his post. Regarding President Kennedy, there was surely a great deal in the dossier, especially as concerned his scandalous
