Exclusive: New poll shows Roy Moore
and Doug Jones in statistical tie

WBRC-TV [Birmingham, AL], by Doug Journey

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 11/22/2017 7:35:50 AM

A new Raycom News Network Senate Election poll conducted by Strategy Research finds the race in a statistical tie nearly two weeks after allegations of sexual misconduct against Republican Roy Moore rocked the campaign. (Snip) When asked “what do you think about the allegations made against Roy Moore,” 45% believe all or some of the allegations; 34% do not believe the allegations; and 21% believe some or all of the allegations, but say it has not changed their vote. Among party lines, nearly half (48%) of Republican voters surveyed do not believe the allegations. Another 24% of Republicans say they believe some

Comments:
Margin of error +-2 percent. A statistical tie.

Just a few days ago we were told that a Fox News poll of only 679 persons, heavily loaded with Democrats, gave Jones a sizable lead. This local Fox poll tells a different story.

Like doctoral theses, polls reflect the bent of the source. I think polls are propaganda to sway our beliefs, and are mainly "fake news." When proven false, we do not hear of them again.

There is no question that the Fox News little poll of 679 referred to in OP Comment was intended to sway. It had Jones ahead by 8.

This poll (snapshot, if you will) covers 3000 voters. It reflects nearly a tie. Perhaps that is the “bent “ of the local news outlet?

There was another poll posted on Breitbart yesterday which had Moore up by 6 points. Whom to believe?

I just can’t imagine that the people of Alabama would elect an anti-2nd amendmant, pro-partial birth abortion, open borders, anti-military, high taxes goon like Jones.

A little off topic of the article, but was just wondering... does anyone know when the WaPo got all these allegations on Moore?

Doesn´t it seem a bit convienient that they didn´t have it or use it during the campaign with the tight race with Luther Strange? I mean these women were "found" after Moore won a tight race, supposedly. After almost 40 years???

For decades the GOP establishment has demanded that I hold my nose and vote for Republicans I didn´t respect. The many GOPe aliases on this site have consistently pushed party before principle and asked me to support flawed candidates in order to retain congressional majorities. And last year, the Never Trumpers told me it is okay to vote for morally bankrupt individuals like Hillary Clinton in order to prevent something worse.

If elected, the Democrat will vote to remove President Trump from office. Moore won´t. It´s that simple.

I would vote for Moore.

I´m good at holding my nose.

Alabamians know at this point that many of these polls are intended to influence, rather than report. The only poll that matters is the one taken at the voting booths. Pray and vote your own conscience and beliefs, rather than what you are told other people may or may not think.

FWIW, it probably didn’t help when it was disclosed that Gloria Allred’s latest star pupil, Beverly Young Nelson, is not a real Alabamian. A transplant from California about the time she started high school. She was Class of 1980 at Gadsden High after attending Southside High (from which she received the infamous 1977 yearbook) from 1975 - summer 1977.

Nobody should condone the actions Roy Moore is accused of. But accused is not guilty until proven. One, a dozen or a hundred claims doesn´t change that. One lady might have decided to wait to come forward until he won a primary run-off three decades later- but all of them?

It comes down to what Georgia voters think. The disappointment of McConnell and all NeverTrump Establishment-for-lifers shouldn´t matter. If there ever was an argument for repeal of the 17th amendment and a new amendment for term limits, they are it.

The 2016 election was about "draining the swamp" and dealing with the Democratic establishment is the first step.
Dealing with the Republican establishment is the second.

The fact that McConnell´s PAC money went to the Republican primary rather than the general election says it all. The goal was one more vote for McConnell for leader in January.

Throwing it to an anti-gun, pro-aborion high tax progressive Democrat or considering forgiveness of an alleged sin thirty years ago - that is the option for Georgians.

Alabama is not a blue state. The polls showing Jones ahead of Moore by 12% were laughable. The polls now showing a statistical dead heat are also skewed toward the Democrat. Moore is probably in a 5-8% lead. Only his opponents believe the scurrilous accusations against him. What they hate most about him is his unabashed Christianity, something widely shared in the Heart of Dixie. Hang tough, judge ... and don´t budge.

The lady (14 y/o at the time she had sex w Moore) who was on NBC a few days ago was entirely believable... Juanita Broderick believable. I would bet my last dollar that he is a pedophile... but he´s our pedophile. Melania believes he´s a pedophile, DT believes he´s a pedophile. If he wins he´ll be the lonliest guy on Capitol Hill. The credulity of #20 is touching--but that credulity doesn´t touch Judge Moore, who is much more sinned against than sinning. No one is perfect, but in this upcoming December Senate election, our opponents will allege anything, and hope that something nasty sticks. What if it´s all BS? (As I believe it to be.) Believing the accusers requires ideological blinders that induce not tunnel vision, but light blocking physical vision like celebrated Alabamian Helen Keller´s.

I hate to have to say it because it may come across to some as a slight or a slur but I really don´t mean it to be. I have relatives from the deep south and a 30 year old man in Alabama hitting on young teenage women for a date was not that unusual back in the 1970´s. Heck, those poor guys down there couldn´t afford a date --- or a car to go on one --- until they were well into their mid twenties. By then all the 20+ year old women were taken!

To call Judge Moore some of the names he´s been called is outrageous. Pedophiles don´t just stop doing their thing. But all of the woman claiming he bugged them go back to when he was a horny bachelor. Then it suddenly stopped. Nope.

I´d vote for Moore to keep the seat Republican if I lived in Alabama. And in 3 to six months or even a year from now if real evidence comes out, he can step down and the Republican governor can appoint another Republican. However, if the Demo-rat wins, he´ll be under Chuckie Schumer´s influence two minutes after he´s sworn in. One less vote in our majority and that Dem will NEVER support Trump or his agenda. Too risky. Vote for Moore.

Moore has gone through 6 statewide elections with the most recent being the US Senatorial primary. Makes it all the way to Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court ... a position that places him in the top 3 or 4 most powerful within Alabama. But now suddenly he´s a pedophile for 30 or 40 years? And some think that the accusations are valid (believable?) because there is more than 1 accuser. Yea right.

Let´s get the words straight. Thesen at the time young women said he tried to seduce them. What does seduce mean? Did he wink at them? Did he compliment them? If true, did the 14 year old say she was 14 years old? No of course not. None of them said he did anything physical. The words say nothing.

This is contrived political wirch hunt speak. And these self righteous Fox News people who never heard of such a thing have not lived a life in the real world.

It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party. But listen to any number of Republicans and

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York pinned the government shutdown on President Donald Trump, saying it has become "next to impossible" to negotiate with the White House. In a press availability, Schumer said he and Trump have been close to a deal to fund the government at least once. But, he said the "hard right" in the Republican Party later convinces Trump not to strike a deal with him."[Trump] won´t take yes for an answer," Schumer said. The Daily Caller journalist Chuck Ross has some extremely interesting information released today surrounding former top FBI Counterintelligence Agent Peter Strzok and DOJ/FBI liaison attorney Lisa Page which includes a disclosure by top FBI officials that text messages between Strzok and Page have gone missing. (Snip) According to information relayed to Senator Ron Johnson, the period of time the FBI has “lost” is from December 14th, 2016 to May 17th, 2017, the exact day that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was assigned to lead the Russia collusion probe. As CTH has previously outlined the same “small group” inside the DOJ and FBI,

Question: Do you think Donald Trump spends more time thinking about Hillary Clinton than Hillary Clinton spends thinking about Donald Trump? Sure does seem like it. The other day, President Trump was discussing Russia at a press conference with the prime minister of Norway, when he suddenly announced that Clinton “was not for a strong military and Hillary, my opponent, was for windmills, and she was for other types of energy that don’t have the same capacities at this moment certainly.” Yeah, it didn’t make any sense. But he really can’t seem to get past her. Recently while promoting tax

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) questioned President Donald Trump’s new campaign ad saying Democrats “will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants” if they continued the shutdown. Ryan said, “They are certainly not helping us keep the government open. They are certainly not helping us get to a solution on immigration. When you shut down the government you stop negotiating on immigration reform. They’re complicity with not getting things done.” He added, “I’m not going to comment. I just saw that. I don’t know if that’s necessarily productive. It’s no

Immigrants entering the United States illegally through the southern border are quietly being relocated to different parts of the country on commercial flights, high-ranking Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. In the last few days alone, groups of illegal aliens boarded planes at airports in Texas and Arizona accompanied by a taxpayer-funded government escort in civilian clothes to avoid drawing attention. The first flight originated at Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas and was bound for Minneapolis. (Snip) The illegal aliens wear red HHS wrist bands and receive “the gold glove treatment,” according to a veteran federal official,

According to Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH14) the House Intelligence Committee will hold a vote on the release of the four-page Nunes memo that reveals systemic corruption within the DOJ and FBI; including the unlawful use of FISA-702(16)(17) data searches which were part of an elaborate DOJ-FBI surveillance program on the political campaign of Donald Trump. (Tweet) Additionally, Chad Pergram reported that Chairman Devin Nunes met with Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte to discuss the best process to release the memo. There are generally two ways it could be done, the HPSCI vote is the most likely. As more people have become aware

The burn continues. What follows are 138 years of scientific records tracing the human transformation of Earth’s climate. The bold pink line up top represents 2017, the third-hottest on record. The only years to exceed it—2015 and 2016—occurred amid a powerful El Nino weather pattern that ripped heat from the Pacific Ocean into the atmosphere. In the absence of El Nino, the swelter of 2017 was unprecedented.

There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.

Comic book readers are apparently not fans of progressive politics—a fact no more evident in Marvel’s decision to cancel every single one of its comics that has been nominated by the LGBTQ advocacy group, GLAAD. In December, the publisher announced its decision to cancel many of its comics, citing poor sales. LGBTQ, feminist, and social justice-themed comics involving stories that revolved around Black Lives Matter, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ issues were among those to end up on the chopping block.

Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see. Do you think Democrats are starting to panic? (Video) Rush
