Kathy Griffin Comes Unglued: Not ´One

Kathy Griffin is coming unglued. The D-list comedian, who was blasted for releasing a photo of herself holding a bloody severed head that looked like President Trump, posted another bizarre video to her YouTube page on Saturday. In the video, which she called the "State of the Union," she said, "I´m admitting that I lost my mind." The 57-year-old claimed she´s on Interpol’s list and is being shunned by Hollywood. “I just want you guys to know that I am fully in the middle of a blacklist, like I’m in the middle of a Hollywood blacklist. It is real. I’m not booked on any

Comedy is all about bringing the funny, not the shock and ridicule, Kathy. Seek another line of work and stop whining about not finding work in a field in which you are clearly incompetent.

You had to have seen the photos before they were put on the internet and splashed across the world. At that last possible moment before you oblivion started, some where in your feather filled head, on last little though had to have said, "The I-told-you-so moment will be awful for you Honey." But, you hit ´send´ anyway. Now that you are a martyr for the "Social Justice Warriors" revel in it. At least you stood for what you truly believe! Alabama is one of the most reliably Republican states in the country. The last time a Democrat was elected was in 1992, and no Democrat has won more than 40 percent of the vote in a Senate race there since 1996. The closest election in recent memory was in 2002, when Jeff Sessions won re-election by a razor-thin margin of 19 points. Sen. Richard Shelby has won his last three elections by 35 points, 30 points and 28 points, respectively. So it takes a special kind of stupid to pick a candidate who can lose to a Democrat in Alabama.

The end of 2017 has seen a spate of resignations from Congress, as Reps. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) and John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) and Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) all stepped down or promised to step down due to sexual harassment allegations. All three did so under pressure from their own party. It shows that in between elections, the parties can indeed police themselves and don’t need to hide behind excuses of “letting the voters decide.” Which brings me to Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), whose recent prosecution on corruption charges ended in a mistrial. Democrats should not wait for a new jury or

It’s not much of an overstatement to say that the media are enjoying the Alabama upset. It is, among other things, a great story, one that feels as much like a cultural moment, coming in the midst of a fierce national debate over sexual harassment, as a political verdict. And there was the late-night drama of Doug Jones surging past Roy Moore in the final hour of vote-counting, producing a Democratic victory that once might have been hard to imagine. And before we get into the finger-pointing, these elements were overshadowed during the raucous campaign: Jones outspent Moore 10 to 1, which

President Donald Trump strongly backed Republican Roy Moore to win the U.S. Senate seat in Alabama vacated earlier this year by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Tonight in a special election, Moore lost that race to Doug Jones, who is the first Democrat to be elected to the Senate since 1992. Trump issued a congratulatory response to Jones´ victory on Twitter late Tuesday night. Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. I might as well get into the “hot take” game. Democrats and their media echo chamber will openly celebrate Doug Jones’s narrow win in Alabama, but inside I’ll bet they are actually disappointed. There is little chance they can hold this seat in 2020 (unless Republicans nominate Roy Moore again). Meanwhile, Jones deprives them of their favorite talking point that Republicans are all drooling knuckle-dragging morons. Worse, it means Al Franken will likely have to go through with his resignation after all. I’d bet money that a polygraph examination would reveal that Franken was secretly hoping for a Moore victory.

Margaret Thatcher was born one. So were predecessor Prime Ministers Benjamin Disraeli and William E. Gladstone. Diana, the princess of Wales, too. Also William Pitt, who presided over the British victory in the French and Indian War and lent his name to Pittsburgh. And, according to some university authorities four decades ago, me as well. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) faced criticism for saying that President Donald Trump “slut-shamed” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) with a non-sexual insult, Tuesday. After President Donald Trump made a post on Twitter claiming that Sen. Gillibrand “would do anything” for campaign contributions, Sen. Warren made her own post accusing Trump of “slut-shaming.” “Are you really trying to bully, intimidate and slut-shame @SenGillibrand?” asked Sen. Warren in her post. “Do you know who you’re picking a fight with? Good luck with that, @realDonaldTrump. Nevertheless, #shepersisted.” Are you really trying to bully, intimidate and slut-shame @SenGillibrand? Do you know who you´re picking a fight with? Good

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski is still fired up about President Trump’s tweet mocking Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and took her frustrations out on first lady Melania Trump and first daughter Ivanka Trump. “[Trump] should have apologized for being a sexist pig,” Brzezinski said. “And the women around him, his wife, who has a platform against cyber bullying, that’s a joke. That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.” Brzezinski then shifted her attention to Ivanka Trump, “Who came to Washington… to develop a platform for women,” but has stood by her father. “Go home. You’re doing nothing if you stand

The Alabama Supreme Court has reportedly stayed a lower court’s order to election officials that would have required the preservation of voting records in Tuesday’s Senate special election. A circuit judge on Monday ordered election officials to set voting machines to save all digital ballot images, which would preserve voting records in the event of a recount. Alabama´s AL.com said Tuesday morning that the state´s Supreme Court had blocked the order.

From America’s Catholic bishops to prominent Christian pastor Jim Wallis, congressional Republicans’ push for an overhaul of the tax code has been called nothing less than ungodly. The debate about tax rates and income numbers has taken on pointedly religious overtones, with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, citing Pope Francis and St. Augustine in attacking the bill and saying it would signify Armageddon. Mr. Wallis led a protest against the tax plan at the Hart Senate Office Building, reading Bible verses before he was escorted away by Capitol Police. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops released a lengthy
