How to Get Power (and Banned from Fox News),
According to Gene Simmons

New Yorker Magazine, by Dan Piepenbring

Original Article

Why should anyone care about Gene Simmons? It’s been more than forty years since Kiss’s first single, “Nothin’ to Lose,” featured him singing about coercive anal sex. He’s long since descended into self-parody, if that wasn’t already his métier. And yet he persists in the culture like a bad infection, pervading reality TV and wagging his preternaturally long tongue at anyone he disdains, including Muslims, suicidal depressives, non–English speakers, and Prince, whose death, from a fentanyl overdose, he called “pathetic.” Behind all of this is the steady drumbeat of misogyny. In 2002, he told the “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross,

An entire article written as a vehicle to bash President Trump. Then the "writer" doesn´t have the stones to have a comment section. What a pajama boy wuss.
KISS is the most financially successful musical group in history. That bothers some people.

Gene Simmons is educated and articulate. Whether you like his opinions is something else. I happen to agree with nearly everything he opines.

He´s as phony and shallow as his "Music".

His big advice to get rich was:"Buy stuff cheap and sell it high." ----Thanks Gene, great insight that.

He is as creepy as creepy gets and may be rich and ´smart´ but he exudes a type of low-class carnival barker, grifter, ballzy, greasy, shallow commercialism that gives honest musicians and business people a bad name.

They don’t like him for several reasons. He’s very successful in business. He’s white, Jewish, and not a liberal. That’s just for starters. I like him a lot. I love Kiss music and appreciate that they have been a powerhouse rock band for as long as they have. Eat your heart out Dan Piehole. You jealous little boy.

Gene has said (in several interviews) that he voted for Obama-twice. I don´t know if he voted for Trump in the last election. His wife is a crazed left winger, so I assume she voted for Hillary. He has said he owes this country a debt of gratitude for his success. He respects the military. He loves his mother. He probably thinks being banned from Fox is a badge of honor.

Do yourself a favor and search for the npr interview with terry gross. Following the "open legs" excerpt that the author cites with such disdain:

TG: That´s a really obnoxious thing to say.
GS: No it´s not, why should I say something behind your back that I can´t tell you to your face?
TG: Has it come to this? Is this the only way you can talk to a woman, with that schtick?
GS: Let me ask you something. Why is it schtick when all women have ever wanted since we crawled out of caves is, "Why can´t a man just tell me the truth and speak to me plainly"? So if I do that, you can´t have it both ways.

Short of impeaching President Trump, does anything excite Democrats, the Resistance, and NeverTrumpers like the prospect of the president firing special counsel Robert Mueller? Firing Mueller would, or course, be the quickest way for Trump to get impeached, which might explain a certain air of anticipation in discussions of whether — some prefer to say when -- Trump will sack the prosecutor leading the Trump-Russia investigation. There has been a lot of news and commentary recently interpreting criticism of Mueller by a number of pro-Trump media voices as an effort to encourage Trump to fire Mueller, or lay the groundwork for

In Washington, the ostensible story is rarely the real story. We know, for example, that former President Clinton engineered a meeting with President Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch, on the tarmac of the Phoenix Airport on June 27, 2016. That’s the official story, replete with the charming and intentionally disarming detail that all they talked about was their grandchildren. It was just coincidental, don’t you know, that at the time the FBI was looking into Hillary Clinton’s use of a “personal” email server to send, receive and store classified information. So in an astounding break with journalistic tradition, the New York Times launched a direct lobbying campaign. It used a Twitter campaign to ask its readers to warn the wavering wise men that the tax cuts would balloon the deficit. It included phone numbers. What happened? The fence-sitting solons came to their senses and voted in favor of the tax bill. Every man
