LaVar Ball on Trump´s role
in getting UCLA players
released in China: ´Who?´

The Hill, by Jacqueline Thomsen

Original Article

Posted By:rubberneck, 11/18/2017 10:52:42 AM

LaVar Ball, whose son was one of the three UCLA basketball players detained in China for shoplifting last week, said "who?" when asked about President Trump´s role in getting the players released. "Who?" Ball told ESPN when asked about Trump´s role. "What was he over there for? Don´t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.” (Snip) Like I told him, 'They try to make a big deal out of nothing sometimes.' I'm from L.A. I've seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses."

Comments:
So, Daddy is apparently minimizing President Trump´s role in getting his precious little dumpling released, AND his son´s antisocial behavior as well.

Well Mr. Ball, your darling little boy wasn´t in LA, he was in China where he was seen as a foreigner and a criminal to boot. The Chinese seem, unlike LA, to follow the broken glass theory of policing. If not for Mr. Trump, he would still be in a Chinese lockup. Have a nice day.

When nailed by a reporter in his China hotel, LaVar said “no big deal”. His attitude. No wonder the son pulled this.

LaVar is a publicity-hungry, money-hungry oaf who makes the Williams sisters’ father look like a piker. A disgusting creature.

Mr. Ball, with your street-smart attitude and perception of right and wrong, I´m sure your son has a bright future. If things continue to go wrong, you can always blame the Chinese, or President Who, or the privileged whites. Swagger on!!

The site word filter won´t allow me to express my thoughts. I´m sure everybody has enough of an imagination to know what I am thinking. The article says "boorish dad" that description is too light. My thoughts wander to a more coarse vein, beginning with , vile, disgusting , overbearing , this is where the word filter is activated. Add in , meany mentally , any more words you wish.

LaVar Ball meets the definition of a helicopter parent. I feel sorry for his wife and children. I also feel sorry for any coach and team his sons become affiliated with. I hope at some time his children will be able to lead their own lives as well as make good decisions that lead to happy and successful lives. I’m already tired of hearing about Daddy.

The two overriding factors here are where the crime occurred and that an item of value was stolen from a store. The crime did not happen in Los Angeles, it happened in China, and the item of value was not just “taken” it was stolen.

Therefore China had jurisdiction to prosecute the matter under the laws of China that apparently provide a ten year prison sentence. There is no telling if such a prisoner, once in prison someplace in China, could not end up being a organ donor. Under those conditions you would have to say that the basketball players that President Trump put in a wink and a nod for them with the leader of China. The fact is that US black ghetto culture OK’s “taking” items out of stores without the “taker” paying for the item does not cut any mustard in most other countries.

#16, yes, and the organ ´donation´ might be like the scene in Monty Python´s ´Meaning Of Life´.

Surgeons: "We´re here to take your liver."
Victim-to-be: "But I´m not done with it yet!"
Surgeons: "You filled out an organ donor card. It doesn´t specify anything about whether you are alive or not..."

Lavar Ball is the living proof of the saying "It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

I´d suggest that fans of the 2 take them at their word...and start just "taking" their multi-hundred dollar, brand-name shoes out of every store that carry them, Goose/Gander/Sauce..

Is it possible for the Chinese President to take back what he said and demand the U.S. government to extradite the 3 kids back to China for a criminal trial? Guilty verdict is guaranteed. Wonder what their father have to say about that.
Regardless, I´m glad the 3 got their freedom and returned safely to U.S.A. Wish the father was tried in China and found guilty by reason of ASSOCIATION with the son. He did do the planting of the seed.

Givin´ En-werds a bad name.

Seems like I remember Obama couldn´t be bothered speaking up for Americans stranded in foreign countries...like Iran...who had committed no crime except for being White Christians.

The in-gratitude is endemic, even celebrated, in the Black Culture. Those who live off the largess of others often develop an attitude of justification by finding fault with the quantity / quality of what they are given.

I don´t need my azz kissed but my taxes are effectively making me the object of hatred in the hood.

A dirtbag with money is still a dirtbag. The elder Mr. Ball seems to be determined to have an unprincipled, excuse-making son who sees a racist behind every tree. At least the son had enough class to thank the president for saving his butt from a Chinese prison. Whether or not the "thank you" was heartfelt may be another matter, but at least the kid didn´t display an attitude at the press conference. The father could learn something from his son in this instance.

Parents like this are a curse upon the children of poor communities. When I was a teacher, it was not uncommon to say "the apple doth not fall far from the tree" after a group of us came out from a parent conference. I do hope these three learn and grow from this experience and go on to be responsible members of our country. I can assure you that I have seen this happen.

California´s governor has said that deadly wildfires in the winter will be ´the new normal´, as fire crews rushed to contain the fires, with dry desert winds expected to intensify over the weekend. Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday toured Ventura County neighborhoods ravaged by a weeklong wildfire that killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes and other buildings. At a news conference, the Democrat said drought and climate change mean California faces a ´new reality´ where lives and property are continually threatened by fire, at a cost of billions of dollars. Such is the case for me when it comes to the Republican Party and evangelicalism. I’ve been a part of both for my entire adult life. Firing Mueller would, or course, be the quickest way for Trump to get impeached, which might explain a certain air of anticipation in discussions of whether — some prefer to say when -- Trump will sack the prosecutor leading the Trump-Russia investigation. There has been a lot of news and commentary recently interpreting criticism of Mueller by a number of pro-Trump media voices as an effort to encourage Trump to fire Mueller, or lay the groundwork for
