WASHINGTON — Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, who holds Hillary Clinton’s former seat, said on Thursday that Bill Clinton should have resigned the presidency after his inappropriate relationship with an intern came to light nearly 20 years ago. Asked directly if she believed Mr. Clinton should have stepped down at the time, Ms. Gillibrand took a long pause and said, “Yes, I think that is the appropriate response.” But she also appeared to signal that what is currently considered a fireable offense may have been more often overlooked during the Clinton era. “Things have changed today, and I think under those

But she would have been thrilled to have him in the WHite House as the "first philanderer". A bit disingenuous and hypocritical if you ask me.

“We never had a conversation this important. It couldn’t come too soon.”

Well how darned convenient to want to have this conversation now when the Clintoons are washed up and the dems only thoughts about them is how to get Hillary to go back to wandering in the woods.

Kirsten, we TRIED to have this conversation when BJ was president. We even conducted an impeachment trial over BJ´s lies under oath. Since it wasn´t so convenient for you folks to have this conversation when YOUR guy was in office, you said it was just about sex and not important.

Well, it´s still about sex. Why is it important now, you hypocrite? How come you supported Hillary the enabler of BJ? Hillary the attacker of her fellow women because they dared to attack her hubby?

The dems are a party of situational ethics. When THEY do bad things (often), it´s never important enough to take action about. When their opponents even have a whisper of scandal, real or made up, the dems go right to the lynching. The dems, and the Left, especially "feminists" no longer have any moral standing. It was raped away by their support for BJ and it continues to be eroded as they display their queasy concerns about the Hollywood rape culture, a significant source of backing for them.

The Left fears responsibility for their actions but in dodging their responsibility lose their voice.

Assaults against women, or anyone for that matter, are serious. When they are PROVEN, the attacker should pay a serious price, not just when it´s politically expedient for dems.

And because all the lefties are saying this now, Roy Moore should not be the Senator from Alabama. Whether or not the charges against him are based on forgeries, bribery, or just outright slander by the WaPost.

If this works....but your life that Bezos will do this to others.

I thought at the time that if Al Gore had come out said if the President doesn´t resign over the Lewinsky affair I will Al could have forced his resignation and Gore would have become President. I foolishly thought at the time that the Democrats had some modicum of morality but they didn´t then and still don´t. But instead Al gave a strong defense of Clinton on the White House steps if I remember correctly. All these "should haves" by Democrats are just to get rid of the Clintons so they can self righteously go after President Trump. What a bunch of hypocrites and fools if they think WTP will buy into their second guessing. Women to Democrat men are nothing but sexual objects to be played with and exploited truth be known.

Slick didn´t resign because nobody could come up with the right definition of "is."

An entire nation was had by the Clintons over the meaning and definition of sex. Letting a pervert like Slick define sex was as bad as letting a witch like Hillary define womanhood.

Bill Clinton was impeached for his lies under oath before a federal judge and for his obstruction of justice in an attempt to coverup his lies.

The Senate "trial" was a political(not a legal) process to determine whether or not to remove Clinton from office; the charges were neither denied nor shown to be false. The only decision reached by the Senate was not to remove Clinton from office for his transgressions.

Bill Clinton was held in Contempt of Court by Judge Susan Weber Wright, stating

* "The record demonstrates by clear and convincing evidence that the president responded to plaintiffs´ questions by giving false, misleading and evasive answers that were designed to obstruct the judicial process."

* "It is difficult to construe the president´s sworn statement in this civil lawsuit concerning his relationship with Ms. Lewinsky as anything other than a willful refusal to obey this court´s discovery orders"

* "The court takes no pleasure whatsoever in holding this nation´s president in contempt of court,´´ Wright said. ``(But) there is simply no escaping the fact that the president deliberately violated this court´s discovery orders and thereby undermined the integrity of the judicial system."

Bill Clinton should have resigned from office for his lies under oath even more so than for his sexual behavior towards women.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Wednesday he was ousted as head of President Donald Trump’s transition due in part to his opposition to the hiring of Michael Flynn as national security adviser. “I thought it was a significant reason,” Christie said at an unrelated press conference at his office in Trenton. The governor, one of the first establishment Republicans to back Trump during the primary and still one of the president´s most loyal supporters, was chairman of the transition until he was unceremoniously fired just days after the election and replaced with Vice President Mike Pence. As the sex scandals continue their relentless forward march, early efforts at a course correction are beginning to emerge. Some of these efforts are necessary and involve making distinctions — distinctions between, say, felonious assault, which should lead to prison, and really gross workplace behavior, which should lead to serious disciplinary action but should probably fall short of complete ruination. The danger, however, is that these distinctions get drawn in such a way that they protect one set of offenders and not the other — purely on the grounds that the protected set is made up of people you like or

Short of impeaching President Trump, does anything excite Democrats, the Resistance, and NeverTrumpers like the prospect of the president firing special counsel Robert Mueller? Firing Mueller would, or course, be the quickest way for Trump to get impeached, which might explain a certain air of anticipation in discussions of whether — some prefer to say when -- Trump will sack the prosecutor leading the Trump-Russia investigation. There has been a lot of news and commentary recently interpreting criticism of Mueller by a number of pro-Trump media voices as an effort to encourage Trump to fire Mueller, or lay the groundwork for

California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) says President Trump´s stance on climate change demonstrates that he does not appear to fear the "wrath of God" or have any regard for the "existential consequences" of his climate change policies. “I don’t think President Trump has a fear of the Lord, the fear of the wrath of God, which leads one to more humility ... this is such a reckless disregard for the truth and for the existential consequences that can be unleashed,” Brown said in an interview on CBS´s "60 Minutes," which is set to air on Sunday. Loose dentures? More like loose screws. Donald Trump was slurring his words pretty good last week for a guy who fancied himself an expert when it came to Hillary Clinton’s alleged brain damage. What would he make of his own slurred speech and bizarre behavior? brain tumor from the weight of that massive combover sitting on top of his head like a live farm animal? Simply slurred speech because his thoughts are so fantastic that his mouth can’t keep up?
