Trump Government Will Take Private
Land to Build Border Wall, but Won´t
Provide Any Details

Newsweek Magazine, by Harriet Sinclair

(Video) - Donald Trump’s administration has failed to give a clear indication as to how much the land acquisition for the long-promised U.S. Mexico border wall will actually cost, a report claims. According to a report released on Monday by Democratic staff of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the administration has not provided the committee with any “definitive real estate costs or requirements.” In addition, the report claims Trump’s administration has not outlined how many U.S. citizen landowners will be affected by construction of the barrier, nor a timeline or costs for land seizure.

Comments:
Where was the "fake news" and their crying towel over 0bama way overstepping his and the EPA´s authority to grab land to placate the ecoterrorist in our midst? And, by not properly caring for their land grabs, the annual forest fires and other ecological disasters become more prevalent. And, we won´t forget the net jobs lost either that devastated 0bama´s annual economy numbers.

If I owned one of the big ranches on the border they wouldn´t have to take the land. I´d donate it.

This has been done along the border in the past and the "takings" were tied up in courts for years. It´s not just a matter of "big ranches", it´s small ranches and people´s backyards. There is also the matter of cutting off livestock access to the Rio Grande. None of this is easy, fast nor uncomplicated.

It doesn´t matter what the wall cost is ...if it will keep the illegal, unwanted aliens out just build it. It certainly will not cost as much as it does to take care of these people once they get in.

BUILD THAT WALL !!!!

The Cartels ain´t stupid.

They own plenty of land on BOTH sides of the border.

They will front some little old lady who will heroically defend her right to keep her little ranchito and fend off the evil government.

Sorry.....territorial defense is the FIRST and one of the very few legitimate roles of the Feds.

The "Open Borders" people are invaders.

Many of us have given sons and daughters to defend this country.

You can "Give" a few acres.

Live at the beach...deal with the ocean.

Live on the border...deal with a desperate, dangerous third-world neighbor.

A former ethics director has filed a complaint against Kellyanne Conway for comments she made about the Alabama Senate race. “I have filed a complaint with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, which investigates Hatch Act violations,” Walter Shaubtweeted. Mr. Shaub is the former director of the Office of Government Ethics. His complaint centers around Mrs. Conway’s comments earlier this week blasting Democratic candidate Doug Jones. Draft Bernie is no more. The liberal activists who’d hoped to recruit Sen. Bernard Sanders to lead a new third party appear to have given up on the senator, dropping his name from their movement as they search for a new champion to pave an independent path in the next presidential election. Comprised of former Sanders staffers and volunteers, the group says the invite to Mr. Sanders still stands, but it’s changing its name from “Draft Bernie for a People’s Party” to “Movement for a People’s Party.” “We are motivated to continue whether Bernie is prepared to join us yet or not by the fact that a new party is inevitable in the United States,”

The search for a missing Argentine submarine with a crew of 44 has entered a “critical phase”, authorities have said, as the seven-day oxygen supply was due to run out today. The ARA San Juan went missing on 15 November while it was travelling from the extreme southern port of Ushuaia to the city of Mar del Plata, about 250 miles southeast of Buenos Aires. The last known communications with the submarine were two calls - one to report a routine battery fault, while the other call has not been disclosed by the Argentine Navy. Baltimore - Another federal judge has halted a proposed transgender military ban, expanding on an initial ruling issued last month against the plan by President Donald Trump´s administration. In a preliminary injunction issued Tuesday in Baltimore, U.S. District Judge Marvin Garbis ruled that transgender service members have "demonstrated that they are already suffering harmful consequences" due to the proposed ban including threat of discharge, stigma and the cancellation or delay of surgeries related to their gender transitions. The six plaintiffs in the lawsuit he reviewed have all been receiving hormone therapy.

Donald Trump has sustained more than his fair share of political losses during the first 10 months of his presidency, mostly at the hands of the federal courts. Trump could conceivably have handpicked more than 30% of the nation’s federal judges before the end of his first term, his advisers have suggested, and independent observers agree. “The president himself has said that he expects this to be one of

Senate Republicans included $1.6 billion for the first installment of President Trump’s border wall in the new homeland security spending bill they released Tuesday, keeping the president’s marquee immigration promise on track. While avoiding the term “wall,” the Senate bill calls for $1.6 billion in funding for “physical barriers” and border roads — matching Mr. Trump’s original request for money to build or repair fencing along 74 more miles of the U.S.-Mexico line. The homeland security measure is one of a series of spending bills the GOP released Tuesday as they geared up for an end-of-year battle over 2018

A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.
