I hope this happens too. We cannot afford insurance, so we pay the penalty, which leaves us less disposable income to pay for any medical expenses (or anything else for that matter).

I wish this could pass, too - but it may be a "poison pill" so that McConnell and company can have an excuse not to pass this part of the Trump agenda. Remember that the GOPe RINOs are the Washington Generals to the Democrat Harlem Globetrotters. They only serve as a foil to provide a veneer of legitimacy to the UniParty "game".

It´s a head fake, it goes to committee and when it comes back to the senate the resistance will vote against it even though they voted for it.

I give the tax bill less than a 20% chance of ever passing. DACA will be the only thing passing by 2018 elections. The easiest thing for these politicians to do is spit in our faces.

The uniparty thinks they can sucker Trump in to signing a CoC tax bill with this little tidbit thrown in to stroke his ego. Aint going to happen.

Trump picks immigration hardliner
Tom Homan as ICE director

President Trump on Tuesday named immigration hardliner Tom Homan, who has served nearly 10 months as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to run ICE on a permanent basis. Homan has run the agency since Obama appointee Sarah Saldaña — the former U.S. attorney in Dallas — stepped down when Trump took office in January. He has been a public face of the administration´s crackdowns on immigrants and border security, a tough talking law enforcement careerist who is unapologetic about being "heartless" when it comes to deporting even the most sympathetic longtime U.S. residents.

The most remarkable thing about the current tide of sexual assault and harassment accusations is not their number. If every woman in America started talking about the things that happen during the course of an ordinary female life, it would never end. Nor is it the power of the men involved; history instructs us that for countless men, the ability to possess women sexually is not a spoil of power; it’s the point of power. What’s remarkable is that these women are being believed. Most of them don’t have police reports or witnesses or physical evidence; many of them are recounting

The first thing you’ll see when you walk into Eaton Workshop, a hotel opening in late spring 2018 in Washington, is a custom-commissioned video art installation by AJ Schnack, shown on a series of vintage-style television screens. All day long, it’ll broadcast a montage of footage from the presidential elections of 2012 and 2016 that’s built around one pointed question: How did our country get where it is today? It’s not a subtle statement, and it’s not meant to be.

The Democrats have two very different profiles. One is their public face of absolute moral purity. They’re just better people than Republicans. That’s what you’re buying when you walk into the Democratic store: pure virtue. They’ve got nothing else on the shelves. No beef jerky, no wiper fluid, no Gatorade. The other profile is reality: In the backroom, where the employees eat lunch, the Democrats and their fat-cat donors are committing unspeakably sleazy and immoral acts. Everyone on the left knows this. That’s why, the moment Harvey Weinstein was exposed as a sexual predator, his reflexive response was not to apologize. Accused of

The Country Music Association Awards got very political very quickly when the hosts opened Wednesday night´s show by mocking President Donald Trump Country music superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood kicked off the 51s annual awards show by wearing eclipse sunglasses, poking fun at the commander-in-chief - who at one point looked at August´s solar eclipse without wearing eye protection. The pair also sang an opening song with the lyrics ´Maybe next time he´ll think before he tweets´, a play on Underwood´s hit song ´Before He Cheats´.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Special counsel Robert Mueller´s grand jury is investigating a prominent Democratic lobbyist and a former GOP congressman for their involvement in an influence campaign on behalf of Ukrainian interests tied to Paul Manafort, according to a person with direct knowledge of the investigation. Top lawyers from Facebook and Twitter said Tuesday that Russian-linked posts and advertisements placed on the social networks after Election Day sought to sow doubt about President Donald Trump´s victory. Facebook general counsel Colin Stretch told a Senate Judiciary panel that content generated by a Russian troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency after Nov. 8 centered on “fomenting discord about the validity of [Trump’s] election.” That´s a change from Russia´s pre-election activity, which was largely centered on trying to denigrate Hillary Clinton, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in a January report.

Unfortunately, the indictments of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business partner Richard Gates have nothing whatever to do with "collusion," however broadly defined. Politically speaking, we have learned nothing except what we already knew: namely, that a shady businessman who briefly worked for the Trump campaign is, in fact, a very shady businessman indeed, one

A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.
