Not so Glamour-ous! Frugal Chelsea Clinton

Chelsea Clinton opted for classic black to take the stage at Glamour magazine´s Women of the Year Live Summit, and when it came to choosing heels to match her outfit, she turned to her favorite pair of damaged nude pumps. The 37-year-old, who was named Glamour Woman of the Year in 2014, donned a simple, yet elegant A-line dress featuring scallop detailing on the bodice and hem for the event that was held at the Brooklyn Museum on Monday. Chelsea accessorized her look with a delicate gold necklace and her favorite patent leather pumps, which looked incredibly torn up after

She has a $10 million NYC apartment, her parents are loaded, plus she has sold a few books here and there and had a cushy TV job at $600,000 and she can´t replace her favorite shoes? Weird? I´ve seen better finds at the Good Will.

That´s how people are judged - by how worn their clothes/shoes are? I´m very glad I don´t care about being judged.

Not that I give a rip for Chelsea, either; she´s to be pitied for her unenviable parentage. No doubt she often wishes she weren´t living in their shadow, always and forever.

the heel damage is from sidewalk grates. That can happen to totally new shoes. Maybe she had duplicates? I´ve been known to do that when I find a shoe that I truly love.

I have so many reasons to criticize Chelsea - her clothing and shoes just don´t qualify on that more serious list...

She certainly can´t help the fact that she ended up with her mother´s eyes, but her father´s nose and mouth.
OTOH, she could ditch that "Morticia" hairstyle that every other frickin´ woman is sporting these days; it does not flatter ANY woman...not even Cher or Kim K!

Gack. Where to start?

1) Chels is not that bad looking; she was dealt some pretty hideous cards at birth. She can´t help that much. She DOES resemble Webb more and more each day.

2) The Beast looks heavily medicated in that photo where she is looking directly at the camera. Kinda like someone caught her stuffing stolen money in her purse.

3) I like The Beast´s wardrobe choice. As Lacey Underalls said to Ty Webb: "Who´s your designer? Benihana?" Looks she she stole some curtain from a Chinese restaurant.

Please, it is one thing to criticize ethics, fashion, manners, politics, etc., but please do not criticize and/or ridicule a person’s appearance—we are as Nature created us, children of God, created in His image, and loved by God, to the point of His personal sacrifice and patience in wanting to save all His children before the end of the age. May we strive to remember: “But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.” (Colossians 3:8)

The anti-Trump "Resistance" may still be active in some communities, but it´s definitely not cutting any checks to the Democratic Party.According to fundraising numbers released on Tuesday, the Democratic Party — and it´s leader, Tom Perez — managed to raise only $3.9 million in October, one-third of the $9.2 million raised by the Republican National Committee. Alabama has its back up, or at least its Republicans and conservatives do, and it’s understandable. They don’t like when Northerners and liberals and people in Washington tell them who their senator should be. They don’t like when reporters from outside come down and ask questions and turn over rocks looking for what’s crawling on the underside. (Snip) The charges against Mr. Moore are not only serious; they are completely credible. If you read the original Washington Post story, you know it was rigorously reported, with great care and professionalism. Four women who did not seek out the press, who did

A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.

Dozens of teachers have quit their jobs in Pennsylvania´s capital city amid a wave of violence from students as early as the first grade, it has emerged. The Harrisburg Education Association (HEA) said that at least 45 teachers resigned between July and October, and more have followed since. Those who remain are now demanding more help from administrators. ´I have been kicked, punched, hit, scratched. I´ve had a student physically restraining me in front of my other students,´ first-grade teacher Amanda Shaeffer told board members, according to Penn Live. Donna Brazile said in an interview Tuesday that Russian hackers destroyed “critical data” when they breached the Democratic National Committee (DNC) ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Brazile, who served as interim DNC chair for a portion of last year, made the comments during an interview with Joe Madison on Sirius XM. (Snip) The DNC pushed back on Brazile´s comments, saying in a statement to The Hill, "Her allegation is inaccurate - there is no evidence the voter file was compromised." Brazile stepped in as chair of the DNC after Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) was forced to resign following

Rep. John Conyers, newly facing sexual misconduct charges from former aides, was praised by fellow Rep. Maxine Waters just last month as a champion of women. During an address to organizers of the national Women’s March in which she lashed out at “rape culture” and President Trump, she singled out the Michigan lawmaker for special attention. (Snip) “He is quiet, he is confident, he is powerful, but he has impeccable integrity on all of our issues. A second federal judge has halted the Trump administration’s proposed transgender military ban, finding that active-duty service members are “already suffering harmful consequences” because of the president’s policy. The ruling Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis in a Maryland case comes just weeks after another judge in Washington blocked the administration’s proposal that would have stopped military recruitment of transgender men and women and possibly forced the dismissal of current service members, starting in March. The preliminary injunction issued by the judge in Baltimore on Tuesday goes further than the

The American political community has not taken adequate notice of Hillary Clinton’s book What Happened (the title is not posed as a question). It was generally panned when it came out a couple of months ago for blaming everyone but herself for her defeat. I have never been a Clinton-basher, and I was astonished by the venom, untruthfulness, and zealotry of her account. Mrs. Clinton writes persuasively of seeking “grace” after her defeat, and concluded most of her speeches throughout the 2016 campaign calling for “love and kindness,” yet she is unrelievedly ungracious. She describes her opponent as a clear
