Woman accuses Roy Moore
of trying to rape her when
she was a teenager

A woman on Monday alleged that Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for Senate in Alabama sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Beverly Young Nelson said Moore groped her and tried to force her to perform oral sex when she was 16 and she worked at a restaurant that Moore frequented. In a statement, Nelson said that Moore attacked her in his car after offering her a ride home. According to Nelson, instead of driving her home, Moore parked in a lot behind the restaurant. "Mr. Moore began groping me, putting his hands on my breasts. I tried fighting him off, while yelling

This is really, really bad. It´s getting more difficult to think the allegations are untrue. I don´t know of any woman who would graphically describe all those things if it had not happened. This is very disturbing. How in the world were all these alleged incidents kept quiet during all the years he was a politicians, judge, etc. Losing that seat will be devastating for Republicans.

I dunno, her “lawyer” is Gloria Allred, and this whole puece doesn’t mention what year this allegedly took place. I am not inclined to believe that this happened. Not because I’m invested in the guy, but really, not a peep about anything untoward in all this guy’s career?

That´s the plan KarenJ1: They will continue to beat the drums up to election day in order to make it harder and harder to believe Judge Moore is innocent . . . Although there´s already plenty of indications that this is a manufactured setup.

Help him get elected, then figure out if he is guilty of what these women are accusing him of. I doubt he is. Why wouldn´t they have come forward years ago when he ran for the Judgeship? Why can´t he be replaced down the road if it´s proven he is guilty of these things? Let the Republican Governor appoint someone to have that Seat until the next election. DO NOT hand this Seat to the Democrats!

How can any of this be taken seriously? The call girl in North Carolina accuse the whole North Carolina State Lacrosse team of similar improprieties.

She then was found out to have lied, but after the damage and slander to the team members had been done.

The women in Alabama is not supported by her mother, which calls her claims into questions. She also said a reporter offered her $1,000 to make these claims.

The time line can not support either claim, impossible to prove. Impossible to prove is the Democrats operating MO. I would also believe that McConnell, and the rest of those RINOS are up to their neck in this charade.

The accusations do not pass the smell test.

I for one grow tired of this constant crap coming from DC. Its time to ignore them and vote every last one of them out of office asap.

Just watched the press conference with the latest accuser and G. Allred. This woman seems as believable to me as Juanita Broderick. She has the yearbook that Moore signed, her story is credible. She can describe his car, and the shoes he wore Allred is calling for him to give a statement under oath.

This looks really, really bad for him.

That doesn´t mean it´s true. I´m just saying that she sounds like a credible witness. She and her husband voted for Trump. She was a beautiful young girl who had a boyfriend and boyfriend at the time but says she was not interested in a man of Moore´s age.

If her allegations are true, Moore has put the AL Republicans in a bad place. Same for the President. Also if this is true, it´s a good thing Trump didn´t endorse him in the primary.

It´s very hurtful when someone we trust as a Conservative is shown to be a liar. And knowing that Clinton, Kennedy etc. got by with much worse and are still getting a pass from the Left.

Sad, sad stuff. Whether true or not.

Because of the timing and because Gloria Allred is involved I am inclined to believe this is all a pack of lies. This is a suddenly revealed, decades old "she said, he said" with no compelling evidence to back up the "she said". Did she tell no one about it, a friend?, a parent?, a relative?, at the time or in the succeeding forty years? So far as we know - no. OP is living on a different planet if he/she believes women will not make up stories about men that are not true.

I keep coming back to the fact that a 32 year old single man was "dating" high school girls, one as young as 14. Does this pass the credibility test with any readers? I´m sorry there is a preponderance of support for this man in conservative circles but it seems perfectly clear to me that 5 women coming forth right now is a pretty clear indication that something was not all right with this fellow back then.

It may be sleazy, but it´s not illegal for a 32 year old man to date an 18 year old woman. So if we really want to play that game... Senator John McCain graduated from the Naval Academy before his second wife started kindergarten. And who can forget Senator Harris Wofford, who last year, at age 90, married his boyfriend Matthew Charlton, age 40.

I don´t know what to believe. But I do know for a fact that the US Senate is chock full of creepy old men on both sides of the aisle. It has been my experience that Alabamians generally get it right. And when they don´t, they fix it. Usually swiftly and with a vengeance. So let them decide.

The first 4 liars have been shown to be very doubtful, so the left, always creative, found another crazy person willing to say anything, particularly for promises of reward from some Soros proxy. Groping seemed inadequate, and did not work, especially with GOPe´s H W Bush having popularized it, so the left has now upped the ante with rape, still long ago, and unproveable, yea or nay, but it´s a serious allegation, all the left has got, and the only chance the left has of winning this election.

Sorry for second post, but #22 is behind on the info leaking out around the edges - Note that Moore doesn´t remember her, and her mom says her daughter didn´t have her own telephone.

It´s frustrating seeing so many supposedly conscious people falling for the fake news attacks. This is why our Republic is in the shape it is in - too many gullible people believe whatever the propaganda media tells them about conservatives. Even after they´ve been caught repeatedly lying about their political opponents, the conservatives.

And for those of you virtue signaling about More asking 18-19 y.o.s out. Nowhere have I read that he forced them to accept. Where were you when Seinfeld was getting the phone number of a 17 y.o. H.S. student when he was 38 in 1993? Lasted for 4 years. Didn´t hear this sort of caterwauling about age differences then, though Seinfeld was teased by Howard Stern. And I suspect, but don´t know, that the Seinfeld romance was a lot more physical than Roy Moore´s, given the 90´s culture and participants.

#23 Best line of the day.

Here´s what initially went through my mind when this story broke.
Judge Roy Moore has a boyish look about him and I wouldn´t be surprised when he was 30 years old he looked twenty something and the girls liked him...even his wife who is 14 years his junior.
Also, I´ve noticed that most of the accusations went something like this..HE
TRIED TO do this or that. Trying is a subjective statement not based on fact but on possible thinking or feelings. What did he actually do Miss Jones? Will you testify to that in court?
Oh by the way, no need to worry because your statement will never get to court.

And if the Judge was being such a groping pest why in the HELL would she ever agree to ride alone with him in a car?? Is she saying it this way so there could be no witnesses?? Rape is a strong accusation. I would think it would be easy for a grown man to overpower a 16 year old girl if he really wanted to rape her.
She says she wants to testify, but does she want to be cross-examined? Who took her home after this occurrence? Why didn´t she mention it to whoever that was? Did she get treatment for her alleged bruises? And so many other questions.

OP: I don´t know of any woman who would graphically describe all those things if it had not happened.

I´m not saying that something never happened. But it is very easy for a woman to recall, graphically, events that did happen but with a different man than the one she named. The emotion is there, if she just remembers to use the "right" name.

I had a married cousin who was with a mixed group, and he was driving several people home. When two people (a girl and her boyfriend) were left, it so happened that the man was dropped off and it was only my cousin and the girl left in the car. When they drove past a police car, she started yelling rape. My cousin was arrested and convicted...and her baby was born 9 weeks "premature" at 8 pounds.

She told a real sob story. And by the time she gave birth, most of the town had forgotten when the "rape" had occurred.

It is still very interesting to me that Trump went out of his way to support the other Republican contender, when the whole GOP was for Moore. Now they are against Moore. Maybe Trump knew this was coming and thought the other guy had a better chance. Or maybe he went out of his way because, by supporting the other guy (I can´t even remember his name now and it doesn´t matter), it insulated him from being smeared along with Moore.

The House Ethics Committee has opened an investigation into Michigan Democrat Rep. John Conyers, after it was revealed Monday that Conyers paid a former employee more than $27,000 in taxpayer funding after allegedly firing her for refusing his sexual advances. Sworn affidavits signed by former Conyers staffers portray him as a serial sexual predator who preyed on young, vulnerable female staffers. Conyers confirmed the settlement on Tuesday but denied any wrongdoing. “The Committee is aware of public allegations that Representative John Conyers, Jr. may have engaged in sexual harassment of his staff,

Another former staff member to Michigan Rep. John Conyers alleged that she endured persistent sexual harassment by the congressman, according to court documents. A former scheduler in the Conyers´ office attempted to file a sealed lawsuit against him this February in the US District Court for the District of Columbia that alleges she suffered unwanted touching by the Democrat “repeatedly and daily.” She abandoned the lawsuit the next month, after the court denied her motion to seal the complaint. The woman was not involved in the 2015 sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal complaint that Conyers settled in 2015,

It was a Friday night in early November and Fox News host Tucker Carlson was preaching to the camera about leftists sowing “racial divisions” throughout America. Reacting to an article in The Washington Post about a principal at a Maryland high school investigating an incident in which someone posted fliers proclaiming, “It’s Okay to Be White.” Carlson claimed to see evidence of an anti-white agenda at play in the Post report. The segment was typical Fox News fodder, but with an exception: Carlson was pushing forward a meme promoted by white supremacists, and he was doing so exactly as they

A second federal judge has halted the Trump administration’s proposed transgender military ban, finding that active-duty service members are “already suffering harmful consequences” because of the president’s policy. The ruling Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis in a Maryland case comes just weeks after another judge in Washington blocked the administration’s proposal that would have stopped military recruitment of transgender men and women and possibly forced the dismissal of current service members, starting in March. The preliminary injunction issued by the judge in Baltimore on Tuesday goes further than the

Long before Donald Trump ran for president or most people had heard of Paul Manafort, fabled Judge Alex Kozinski proclaimed a veritable epidemic of prosecutorial misconduct. The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and even The New York Times joined the Kozinski chorus. Abuses of power by prosecutors have changed the balance of power in the United States Senate and sent countless innocent people to prison. (Snip) Now, those close to the president have crossed the scope of a squad of prosecutors highly trained and experienced in abuses of that power — especially Andrew Weissmann, who just indicted Manafort

CNN’s media critic/cheerleader Brian Stelter had long-time conservative commentator S.E. Cupp – who hosts “S.E. Cupp Unfiltered” on CNN sister network HLN – on his latest podcast in an effort to get to the bottom of why conservatives distrust the media. The conclusion Stelter comes to is entirely lacking in self-awareness and reinforces why, in fact, conservatives feel the way they do. (Snip) Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather is a semi-regular guest on Stelter’s TV program (most recently in April this year to hit President Trump for bombing strikes in Syria). UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were arrested in China for shoplifting while attending basketball tournament. UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said the players stole from three stores in China including sunglasses stolen by LiAngelo Ball from a Louis Vitton store. They were facing 10 years in prison. Imagine: even the New York Times’ Ross Douthat now thinks that Bill Clinton should have stepped down over the Monica Lewinsky affair. Douthat’s mea culpa op-ed in this past weekend’s paper, in which he confesses that he and others may have been wrong to dismiss Bill Clinton’s indefensible behavior, will serve as the official political obituary for Clinton, Inc. Hillary Clinton is done, finished, kaput. Dogged by scandals old and new, out of step politically, her excess baggage has morphed into an entire baggage train, dragging her towards political oblivion. While it is refreshing to consider the landscape unadorned by Clintons,

Alabama has its back up, or at least its Republicans and conservatives do, and it’s understandable. They don’t like when reporters from outside come down and ask questions and turn over rocks looking for what’s crawling on the underside. A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.

The American political community has not taken adequate notice of Hillary Clinton’s book What Happened (the title is not posed as a question). It was generally panned when it came out a couple of months ago for blaming everyone but herself for her defeat. I have never been a Clinton-basher, and I was astonished by the venom, untruthfulness, and zealotry of her account. Mrs. Clinton writes persuasively of seeking “grace” after her defeat, and concluded most of her speeches throughout the 2016 campaign calling for “love and kindness,” yet she is unrelievedly ungracious. She describes her opponent as a clear
