UPDATE 2:14 p.m.: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called on the party´s nominee for Senate in Alabama, Roy Moore, to withdraw from the race if a new report that he pursued teenage girls in his 30´s is true. "If these allegations are true, he must step aside." The Washington Post published the story about Moore on Thursday. ORIGINAL STORY: Republican senators reacted with alarm to a published report that Roy Moore, the Republican Senate nominee in Alabama, initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when Moore was 32, the Washington Post reported on Thursday. “It’s a nasty story,
Step aside for a Democrat who will vote to kill babies? ´scuse me if I remind you how that happens? Turn the baby over in the womb, punch through its brain, suck it out, crush the head, pull it out by the feet. That is what Democrats support. It is worse than sex abuse of teenagers. Do NOT listen to McConnell, Mr. Moore. Just go do your best to fight the dark. Go stand your place.
Yeah, yeah... just like the 14 or so women who accused President Donald J. Trump!!
Where are they now? None of them panned out. One of them broke into a grin on National television when she was busted as lying.
Not saying Bill Cosby is squeaky clean, but I did find it interesting that most of those women backed off the moment reruns of the Huxtables were cancelled. Can´t have a new generation of up and coming young black students seeing successful, whole families that take personal responsibility for their lives.
1) 34-38 years ago, Moore in public life frequently since then, but she didn´t say a word 2) Revealed by leftard publications that are known for lying and blatantly support leftards 3) Supported by Turtleboy, who doesn´t want Moore to win 4) Denied by Moore.
Well, looks like a smear job/hit piece to me. Anybody know how much money she and the other three got for this?
My guess is that the Democrats are rolling out the Anita Hill years old unsubstantiated sexual harassment charges to smear a Republican so even if elected they will always be tainted by the bogus charges. Maybe Hollywood can make a movie of it.
You know who comes out of this the worse for wear? The soft spined rino-turtle. Of course he´d rejoice in being rid of Moore, a proper conservative. Another shiny object to mess up any news ofthe Presidents fantastic to Asia.
They tried to get him at the voting booth and couldn´t. So let us go with the old he said she said smear. And of course old Mitch -- who was against him and lost at the voting booth is leading the charge. Mitch and the rest of the smear can only be called disgusting.
McConnell and McCain are two sick individuals, and I don´t mean physically. The minute an accusation against a fellow Republican is made they jump right on it, instead of supporting him or just keeping their moughts shut. They are two P.O.S. and need to get out of the Senate and out of our lives. They are helping the Democrats destroy the party and the Country. MAGA.
This is a man that has been very high profile in Alabama politics for decades.....He gained national recognition as well on a couple of different fights he fought AND he threw his hat in the ring for Jeff Sessions old Senate seat and all of this was kept hush hush and on the down low all this time? Not buying it.
Why didn´t the girl´s mother object when Moore asked for her phone number? Also, supposedly the two of them took off all their clothes, then Moore guided her hand to his briefs. But the clothes were supposedly off, so did he put his briefs on again so she could then cop a feel? Sequence doesn´t make sense. And how is anyone supposed to "get to the bottom" (no pun intended) of an alleged incident not witnessed by anyone that allegedly took place nearly 40 years ago? Soon it could be common practice to invent stories like this against any candidate you don´t want to win. Face it: what kind of defense can Moore come up with? There is no proof one way or the other. Opponents should be prevented by law from making unproveable accusations.
Hit job. Walks and talks like a duck.I hope Moore fights this and the people of Alabama will support him through it. Yep, expect this to type of politics to land on every Republican running in 2018. that´s how the Dems plan to take back congress. Pelosi is waiting in the wings.
The race in Alabama is close and the Dems think they have this seat in reach therefore, this story all of a sudden comes out. Weinstein´s ´follies´as well as Spacey´s among other toads is all over the media. At a time when all this is happening, someone decides to throw Judge Moore in the sexual harrassment mix. I hope it isn´t true, but people will believe this because they trust the media. It´s sad that politics has gotten to where it is. Just look at Northam´s ad against Gillespie about the truck driver chasing Latinos. It´s sickening but that´s how far the Dems are willing to go. And McConnell, I agree with Bannon, he needs to step aside. O course he won´t, but McConnell needs to go! I hope this gets resolved with Judge Moore. I think he would be an awesome addition to the Senate. Also, look to see this news take the place of Uranium One, Clinton crimes and Donna Brazille´s book.
Absolute rubbish. But simply accusing somebody of inappropriate contact or relations has become enough to get them fired and worse, even if years beyond any statute of limitations and with no trial or even evidence.
Our nation won´t need another to conquer us; we´re consuming ourselves. The Left and our enemies (but I repeat myself) are giddy.
Drag a dollar bill through a trailer park and some floozy will latch onto it and jump at the chance to file a claim against both McConnell and McCain. Let´s see how they wiggle out of that. And it´ll only cost fifty cents each!
There´s not a politician, business man or preacher that cannot be framed with this sexual indecency crap. I have Pelosi and Feinstein and the Boxer just for kicks all come to mind. Get ´em all.
2nd post apologies, but, the democrats, in 2006, played the sex card, except then it wwas homosexuals. Larry Craig, who exhibited bathroom behavior that is glorified by male homosexuals. (they have meeting places in cities, along I 79 from Pittsburgh to Erie, designated bathrooms, for anonymous sexual behavior. The congressman from Florida, openly homosexual, who emailed congressional pages for sex, but only if they were of legal age. (There were more, but I forget who they were.) The democrats will ride a coordinated wave, this time on a theme of heterosexual misconduct. This is beyond unfair and disgusting. But the left continues to love Roman Polansky. And he had, proven in court, vaginal and sexual intercourse with a 13 year old girl, after drugging her.
BOMBSHELL! CSPAN just reported that Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) fondled a 16 year old House page in the cloakroom back in 2001. The page said that following the encounter, he changed his gender to trans. I demand that she immediately step down.
Not even so much as a syllable of scandal was whispered as the Judge ran for office. Reninds me of what happened to Herman Cain. Suddenly, three or four women have come forward. The timing is certainly interesting.
Mitch ´The Chin´ wasted no time in calling for Moore to step down.
This is a smear job - with Mitch and Bezos leading the way. Looks like Bezos might be looking to cut a deal for Amazon, since the Feds are eyeing up his company.
I´m as skeptical about these sudden, decades old accusations against Republicans as anyone else, but Miss Corfman sounds believable. Moore should step down and give the Republicans a chance to try to save this seat.
Politics and morals? Never the twain shall meet. Moore DOES have options. But don´t be looking for MORAL options. This is POLITICS.. at it´s most foul. Moore´s Options: 1. Ignore the accusations and carry on. Take Brazille´s advice on Tucker last night and channel Michelle. Say when they go low you go high. But don´t expect the Demos to understand because only Demos are allowed to say that. 2. Defend himself and keep the entire election centered on "Did he or didn´t he?" He´ll lose by a huge margin. 3. Fight fire with fire. Get/find/manufacture/enlist 45 year old women and men willing to level charges against hundreds of Demos, going back 30 years. Get friends of dead people who "think" they remember the deceased saying something disturbing. Lie. It´s politics and that´s what you do. Pay them through a Russian intermediary and wipe the files clean, like with a cloth. And then stub your toe and hobble around with a full leg brace to garner sympathy. Moore may have a chance if when they go low, he does too. I know, I know. I´m sort of kidding but this is all just pathetic.
Another example of bipartisanship! Democrats and Republicans will demand Moore step aside due to an unproven 35 yo accusation. Get real. This has only resurfaced because Moore is running for Senate. This is just another example of how our government works. it answers to people like Bezos. It tries to destroy people it doesn´t like. One has to wonder what our political class thinks of all us voting peons.
Supposedly there are four women. Fox is promoting this as if all four have the same identical dirt on Moore. However, three of them only state Moore "pursued" them, tried to date and kiss them, nothing more. These women at the time were 16 and 18 years old. The age of consent in Alabama is 16, so what´s the harm if Moore actually did "pursue" them? All perfectly legal.
The Swamp Rinos and Swamp ´Rats are moving quickly to try to destroy an honest and Christian man who would help President Trump to drain the Swamp Creature´s domain (or is ´lair´ a better description?).
´Ecological Preservation´ I think they call it, amongst themselves.
The claims are so patently false. Nobody would ask a mom to chaperone a 14 year old girl in a courthouse. It´s a stupid assertion. I wonder how much these ladies were paid and by whom. From the WaPo ´story´: "It was early 1979 and Moore — now the Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat — was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. He struck up a conversation, Corfman and her mother say, and offered to watch the girl while her mother went inside for a child custody hearing. “He said, ‘Oh, you don’t want her to go in there and hear all that. I’ll stay out here with her,’ ” says Corfman’s mother, Nancy Wells, 71. “I thought, how nice for him to want to take care of my little girl.”"
Say what you want about President Trump, but at least he knows his Twitter password.Hawaii Gov. David Ige, a Democrat, now says he couldn´t inform state residents that a warning of an imminent missile attack was a false alarm because he forgot his Twitter password. The frightening admission comes 10 days after Hawaiians were throw into a panic for nearly 40 minutes over the warning. (Tweet) An employee accidentally triggered the missile defense warning on January 13 by pushing the wrong button -- twice. He sent a message to all mobile phones warning them of an imminent ballistic missile attack.
Meghan McCain, conservative cohost of “The View,” trashed CNN contributor Ana Navarro for constantly being at odds with other Republicans on Monday.“It’s difficult for me to understand sometimes why you still consider yourself a Republican,” McCain said to Navarro as the panel debated the politics of the government shutdown. WATCH: (Video) While the rest of the panel tried to place the blame for the shutdown on Republicans, McCain argued that the Democrats caused it by trying to attach DACA to a spending bill.“Plain party politics,” she said. “There’s another month to figure out DACA — they’re attaching it to a
We will learn much about the Republican party as they negotiate the fate of DACA. The most telling indicator will not be where the debate ends, but rather where it starts. How do people become residents of the United States? Some preferred classes of potential immigrants are immediately eligible for green cards or permanent legal authority. They are free to enter and reside in the United States, whether they pursue citizenship or not. Others enter the U.S. with a conditional visa granting them temporary authority. For instance, the visa may require the holder to stay enrolled in college or gainfully employed. Some are
President Donald Trump´s occasional unfiltered coarse cloudbursts belie a man who is enormously joyful, having an abundance of entertaining good humor easily expressed, fairly shared. Trump is having a ball, for good reasons.Trump´s first year as president may have been the most extraordinary since the 1840s. While Trump has disrupted almost all presidential governance and communication norms, his tenure so far has produced capital market gains of some $7 trillion, spreading investment wealth to millions of regular Joes and Marys, while tax cuts have already distributed $3 billion in bonuses and wage hikes to over 2 million workers and counting.
As Congress and the White House go back to the drawing board on immigration, the administration took a hard line against compromise plans pushed by Senate moderates, and a new Harvard University poll backed up President Trump’s plan. As the budget shutdown ended, the White House made good on its promise to consider immigration reform. Six Republican senators met with the president to begin the negotiations, according to spokeswoman Sarah Sanders. But another spokesman decried a bipartisan compromise pushed by three senators not at the meeting, Sens. Lindsey Graham, Floyd Flake and Dick Durbin. “Their plan totally fails to secure
New text messages from anti-Trump FBI agents reviewed by investigators reportedly make reference to a "secret society," in what could be the nail in the coffin for special counsel Robert Mueller´s Russia investigation. Investigators have reviewed 50,000 text messages on FBI servers looking for all exchanges between anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page during the 2016 election, Fox News reported. The revelation comes as investigators are seeking the whereabouts of approximately five months´ worth of text messages between Page and Strzok. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy told Fox News on Monday that one
America’s federal government and its extra-legal Deep State have once again proven to be hopelessly corrupt with the news over the weekend that the FBI lost five months worth of text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. Both are senior FBI officials who, while allegedly engaged in an extra-marital affair, traded a number of disturbing text messages about then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. The text messages we have so far seen show that, at the highest levels, the FBI has become compromised and politicized due to a partisan loathing of Trump. This included talk of an “insurance policy” already in motion,
This past weekend thousands of women - and men - took to the streets to show the world how nasty they can be. They called it the “women’s march” but I refuse to call it by that name. Truth is, by calling that vulgar display of hate and bitterness a “women’s march” we are actually demeaning and degrading what it means to be female. Think I’m kidding? Think I’m exaggerating? Think I’m anti-woman, anti-feminist, anti-female empowerment? Well, behold, the logical fallacy that is modern day feminism. Nothing says, “take me seriously” like marching around in pink hats screaming profanities and
Actress Suzanne Somers says she’s “happy” about President Trump’s first year in office, even if saying so ends her career in Hollywood. “I’m happy about him,” she told TMZ in an interview published Monday. “I’m happy that the economy’s doing so much better.” Somers said it’s “very rare” for someone in Hollywood to compliment Trump. “And now my career is over,” she laughed. The actress said in 2014 that the Obama administration was “the most divisive of all the administrations” in her lifetime.
If you’re the NFL this morning, looking at the ratings from Sunday’s conference championship games, chances are you’re mixing something extra strong into that morning coffee. A regular season trend of declining ratings which then turned into a postseason trend of declining ratings, has culminated into a championship weekend of, you guessed it, declining ratings. The early game on CBS, between the Patriots and the Jaguars, drew a 27.3 rating. While that’s only down a tenth of a point from the 27.4 rating that the Packers and Falcons drew in that time-slot last year, it’s also the lowest rated early game
On Friday Senator Chuck Schumer and Democrats shut down the government so illegal immigrants could gain amnesty.Democrats hold a minority position in the US Senate but they do have the support of Sen. Lindsey Graham, Senator Jeff Flake and others. The Gang of 6 bill would have offered Mr. Trump less than 10 percent of his border wall, and only a 3 percent cut to existing paths of family-based chain migration. The president does not support this.Neither do Americans. But it gets worse… Senator Tom Cotton tweeted out on Monday that the DREAMER AMNESTY proposed by Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin offers
Allow me to share right away that if you haven’t followed the entire fourteen months of discussion surrounding The Big Ugly, this is not a discussion thread you will enjoy. This is more digestible by those who have a comprehensive understanding of the 2016 back-story behind the DOJ and FBI surveillance program of Candidate Donald Trump, then President Trump, and the FISA-701(16)(17) issues therein. On this subject, as with a few in the past, CTH has presented intricacies beyond the current story. Oddly, when this happens, and specifically because of our prior crowd-sourcing track record, we pick up ‘nodes’, operational
Democrats called it the Trump shutdown. Republicans labeled it the Schumer shutdown. But in reality, it was the Dreamer shutdown. The recipe for the current congressional gridlock is complex, but at the top of the list of ingredients are the illegal immigrant Dreamers who pushed Democrats to launch the filibuster that sent the government careening into a partial shutdown. It’s a stunning display of political leverage for a group that, at most, numbers several million, can’t vote now, and even under the most generous proposals wouldn’t be able to cast ballots for another decade. Yet they have amassed an extraordinary amount of
It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party. But listen to any number of Republicans and
Malia Obama, who is studying at Harvard University, has boyfriend! But some black people on Twitter have questioned her choice in men, because Malia´s new homey, Rory Farquharson, is white. (5 tweets) This racism on the part of some in the black community, who are bruddas and sistas to us all, is very sad. Most white people want us to grow together as a community. I just wish everyone of all races felt the same way. Questions for discussion: After years of Obama´s race baiting, President Trump is the first "post-racial" president to follow him. What do you think President Trump
Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) questioned President Donald Trump’s new campaign ad saying Democrats “will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants” if they continued the shutdown. Ryan said, “They are certainly not helping us keep the government open. They are certainly not helping us get to a solution on immigration. When you shut down the government you stop negotiating on immigration reform. They’re complicity with not getting things done.” He added, “I’m not going to comment. I just saw that. I don’t know if that’s necessarily productive. It’s no
The Daily Caller journalist Chuck Ross has some extremely interesting information released today surrounding former top FBI Counterintelligence Agent Peter Strzok and DOJ/FBI liaison attorney Lisa Page which includes a disclosure by top FBI officials that text messages between Strzok and Page have gone missing. (Snip) According to information relayed to Senator Ron Johnson, the period of time the FBI has “lost” is from December 14th, 2016 to May 17th, 2017, the exact day that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was assigned to lead the Russia collusion probe. As CTH has previously outlined the same “small group” inside the DOJ and FBI,
Investigators in both House and Senate were stunned late Friday when, receiving a batch of newly-released texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, they also received notice from the bureau that the FBI "failed to preserve" Strzok-Page messages from December 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017. Given the amount of texting that went on between Strzok and Page, who were having an extramarital affair, that probably meant thousands of missing documents. A number of critical events in the Trump-Russia affair occurred between December 2016 and May 2017, including: Conversations between Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey
You’ve got to feel for Robert Mueller. The man overseeing the special investigation into Russian election meddling is by all accounts a non-partisan straight shooter, the model image of a public-minded civil servant. Drafted to lead politically polarizing investigation, working under the beady eyes of distrustful congressional Republicans, Mueller has striven to keep his team’s conduct as unimpeachable as possible by bringing on some of America’s sharpest legal minds to check his own work and keeping public comments to a minimum. Imagine how Mueller feels, then, to have to answer so frequently for the partisans and incompetents surrounding him. The special counsel’s biggest
Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see. Do you think Democrats are starting to panic? (Video) Rush
WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called the government shutdown a “manufactured crisis” created by Democrats who want a permanent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) fix, which he referred to as a “non-emergency” issue that does not belong in the short-term spending bill to continue federal government operations. “The one non-emergency issue our friends on the other side of the aisle are trying to shoehorn into this discussion doesn’t reach that status of emergency until March. This is pure folly. The American people know so, that´s why in a recent survey a majority said keeping the government open
Calling the Trump administration’s tax reform plan a “middle-class tax increase,” two California lawmakers introduced a bill that would force large companies to fork over half of their expected savings to the state. Assemblymen Kevin McCarty and Phil Ting, both Democrats, introduced Assembly Constitutional Amendment 22, which calls for a 10 percent surcharge on companies with a net earnings over $1 million. The plan could potentially raise billions for the state´s social services programs. “It is unconscionable to force working families to pay the price for tax breaks and loopholes benefiting corporations and wealthy individuals,” Ting said in a statement,
The Senate on Monday was set to hold a successful vote to reopen the federal government, after Senate Democrats agreed to let the bill through even though it doesn´t include immigration language they are seeking. "We will vote today to reopen the government to continue negotiating a global agreement," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said on the floor. Under the bill up to be called up, the government would be fully funded through Feb. 8, and it would fund the Children´s Health Insurance Program for six years. It would also reopen the government, which has been partially closed since midnight
It has been four months since Megyn Kelly earned the wrath and ire of Jane Fonda for asking the 80-year-old actress about her plastic surgery, and the NBC host is now responding to the backlash. That moment occurred during Kelly´s third episode when she asked the Oscar-winner about what work she had done in the past, which prompted a steely Fonda to stare Kelly down and ask: ´We really want to talk about that now?´ Since then Fonda has complained about the question to a number of outlets, and even mocked Kelly´s question on Today last week during an interview
