Sen. Bob Corker said Wednesday he will hold a hearing next week looking at presidential authority to use nuclear weapons, in a move that seems targeted at President Trump. Mr. Corker, a Tennessee Republican and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee who has repeatedly tussled with Mr. Trump, said members of both parties have questioned what powers the president has to use nuclear weapons. Mr. Corker said it’s been more than four decades since Congress has looked at the issue, and it seemed the time was ripe. “This discussion is long overdue, and we look forward to examining this critical issue,” he

The intent is to show Trump that RINOs have horns. WHich is kinda funny since they act like sloths with puppy fur. RINOs want people to thinkthey are serious and get things done. Nothig could be further from the truth. Nothing comes of this except people are even more angry at RINOs. McLie is probably kicking himself cause he didn´t think of this first.

RE #7: A typical RINO, Corker lied and "stayed low" until he was re-elected in 2012. He came across pretty well in 2006.

RINOs, like their Democrat counterparts, simply lie to get elected.

(I even shook Corker´s hand at a "meet the candidates" event in 2006. I expect purgatory time for that. /s)

Far from content living his golden years on the $400,000 speech and lecture circuit of other former presidents, President Obama has been busy with clawing back for his old power. Sara Carter reports on a classified document that was released to all members of the House today. The document seems to be a compilation of information, prepared by House intelligence committee staff, relating to the anti-Trump dossier, the FBI, the warrant to conduct surveillance on members of the Trump campaign, and the use of that warrant. Carter calls the document a bombshell. Her sources say its revelations might lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, and perhaps even the criminal prosecution of some. They also say, less plausibly, that the revelations could lead to

There’s a ghost haunting Elizabeth Warren as she ramps up for a possible 2020 presidential bid and a reelection campaign in Massachusetts this year: her enduring and undocumented claims of Native American ancestry. Warren says now, as she has from the first days of her public life, that she based her assertions on family lore, on her reasonable trust in what she was told about her ancestry as a child. “I know who I am,” she said in a recent interview with the Globe. But that self-awareness may not be enough, as her political ambitions blossom.
