HOUSTON — Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien says he and general manager Rick Smith have discussed signing Colin Kaepernick in the wake of last week’s season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson. When asked about Kaepernick on Monday, a day after Tom Savage struggled in a loss to the Colts, O’Brien said: “We talk about the roster and what’s out there every day, Rick and I.” When pressed on whether they have specifically discussed adding Kaepernick, he said: “Oh yeah, everybody gets discussed.” Kaepernick, the former 49ers quarterback, began the national anthem protest movement by kneeling last season. Part of me wants someone to sign the jerk so everyone realizes that the reasons the 49ers (who are 0-9 or something like that) let him go is because he is washed up as an NFL quarterback.

Obviously, his ego has gotten the best of him. Football was around long before Colin Kaepernick, and despite his actions, it should still be around long after he´s gone.

He would not be welcomed by the Texans fans. In fact this is not New York or San Francisco and even though Houston is a welcoming city I don´t think Kaepernick would be welcome here.

They´d be much better off waiting until the Spring and drafting a young QB or two. An extra win or two this season isn´t worth the clubhouse poison Kaepernick would bring to Houston.

Unless there is some missing quote, the column title is not borne out in the column. All the coach said was: " “Oh yeah, everybody gets discussed.”...Our press is so wedded to their SJW leftist narrative that nothing they write means a thing.

End of story.

This is Texas. If the Texans hire him, their half-empty stadium will become 90% empty almost immediately.

Even if they then go on and win the Super Bowl, they won´t win back most of their fans.

It´s NOT worth it!!!

But it won´t effect me either way, since I will NEVER watch another millisecond of the racist thug players in the NFL or NBA!!!!!

The U.S. Army has stopped enlisting some immigrants who are legal permanent residents while mandating lengthy delays for others, part of a controversial effort across the military to tighten security in the ranks by subjecting foreign-born recruits to tougher background checks. Green-card holders seeking to become full-time soldiers remain eligible to enlist in the active-duty Army, but they are no longer allowed to start basic training before their background checks

A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked President Trump’s executive order to cut funding from so called “sanctuary cities.” Trump’s order would have removed some federal funds from cities that limit their cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick rejected the Trump administration’s argument that the measure only applies to a relatively small pool of money. Orrick also said that Trump cannot set fresh conditions on spending that Congress has previously approved. Monday’s ruling came in lawsuits brought by two California counties, Santa Clara and San Francisco.
