John Nolte´s superb article in Breitbart, "Houston Proves Everything the MSM Says about Our ´Divided´ Country Is a Lie" (September 4, 2017) prompted me to tell my own story. My family and I spent many hours in early September helping out at the "Mega-Shelter" for flood victims in downtown Dallas. What I experienced there was like nothing I have ever seen. The Responders and the Services The response of Texans, and Americans from all across the country, to the catastrophic Houston flooding proves the power and resilience of the human spirit. The magnitude of the logistics, the care, and yes,
Comments: This is the America we know and love, the one that gives hope and shines a light to the rest of the world. This is ordinary people helping those in need, those they don´t even know. It is also the America one that the Left hates and desires to dismantle. As long as there are more Americans who demonstrate the kindness and generosity documented in the article, the Left is going to face a formidable adversary.
FTA:"Funny: I didn´t see anyone there from Black Lives Matter, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Democratic Party, Hollywood libs, or any other social justice warriors out there helping the thousands of black families who had lost everything in the flood. No one but us heartless Christians, conservatives, and other deplorables."
This same sentiment was offered by our pastor as countless volunteers scattered all over southeast and south Texas when Harvey hit. What I have yet to see is a theoretical dollar figure based on the volunteer hours and gifts given during these disasters. Let´s say if each volunteer´s time could be assigned even minimum wage, the hours "donated" by the number of people who gave of themselves would come to a staggering amount. No government could cover the costs of manpower and goods that were given from the hearts of those who came to rescue and help. And *that* is priceless; *that* is the love that is talked about in Scripture. This is a "must read."
A senior AIDS official at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been arrested in a sting where he thought he was going to be engaging in "water sports" (that didn´t involve water) with a young boy. In reality, he was talking to the police. A director within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is accused of asking a person, who he thought to be a 15-year-old boy, to perform a variety of sex [sic] acts including urination. On Thursday, Michael Goldrosen, 56, of Silver Spring, was formally indicted in Montgomery County Circuit Court on one
Ohio State Treasurer Josh Mandel announced on Friday that he will dissolve his campaign to challenge incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) due to a family medical issue. Mandel said on Friday, We recently learned that my wife has a health issue that will require my time, attention and presence. In other words, I need to be there. Understanding and dealing with this health issue is more important to me than any political campaign. For as long as that takes, whether it is months or years, it is important that I heed my dad’s advice and be there for my wife
O’boy, things are fun now. We’ve gone from a small peep hole in the rat-filled barn wall letting in the sunlight, to rapid cannon-fire knocking holes the size of bowling balls. Whoo doggies… look at em’ scatter. A few days ago CTH advised of a few good people to keep an eye on. Yes, there are a few people inside the Swamp with a laser painting the target. Ohio Representative Jim Jordan flying through the chaff and countermeasures while carrying a MOAB of truth. Head’s up, he’s quickly approaching the target: 1) Did the FBI pay Christopher Steele, author of
Former US president Barack Obama chose not to support the 2009 Iranian Green Protest Movement because he hoped to reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear weapons that he signed six years later, Deputy Minister Michael Oren (Kulanu) said on Monday. Obama’s failure to help Iranian protesters has been criticized since then by Israeli officials, led by Jewish Agency chairman and former Soviet dissident Natan Sharansky, who has called it the biggest failure to help human rights in modern history. Oren, who was the ambassador to the US at the time, said Obama initially claimed he would not support
On the fourth day of the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, regime officials are acknowledging popular anger against and abhorrence of the regime and the uprising spreading across the country. The people are seeking regime change in Iran, and this has a major impact for the U.S.´s and the international community´s foreign policy in the Middle East and possibly beyond. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which is a major force behind the protests, released a statement in which she said, in part, "The ongoing protests in different cities against the regime
A huge explosion has rocked a busy supermarket in St Petersburg, leaving at least 10 people injured. The blast happened in the Perekrestok supermarket in the northeast of the cities, and shoppers fled in panic as emergency crews descended on the scene. One person is believed to be in a serious condition, while a further three were taken to hospital. Six more were treated at the scene. It is thought a bomb packed with shrapnel exploded in a storage locker, and authorities are treating the explosion as a deliberate attempt to kill. It comes days after a foiled terror plot
The Clintons and their associates, whether it´s Sandy Berger or Cheryl Mills, certainly have a gift for making paperwork disappear. Sandy Berger, Bill Clinton’s former National Security Adviser, stole classified documents about the terror failures of the Clinton administration, hid documents under a construction trailer, lied about taking them and destroyed some of them. Hillary Clinton confidants were part of an operation to “separate” damaging documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating security lapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya. According to former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond
Few societies have gone through as wrenching changes in behavior and social norms in the past forty years as America has. We can scarcely recognize the social mores and attitudes then from today’s perspective. But as L.P. Hartley put it: “The past is a foreign country. They do things differently there.” And if the changes over time are confusing enough, try understanding the regional variations. Moore was from Etowah County in northeast Alabama, on the southwestern edge of Appalachia. His lower class family lived way out of town and finally got indoor plumbing his last year of high school. Although
Let´s begin with some accusations. They are well founded and as credible as any against Roy Moore – perhaps more so. The FBI´s first director, J. Edgar Hoover, was reputed to have compiled incriminating dossiers on just about every top office-holder in Washington, D.C., up to and including the presidents, under several of whose tenures Hoover served. Whenever there was talk of firing him, Hoover reportedly met with the contemporary chief of state and persuaded him to retain him (Hoover) in his post. Regarding President Kennedy, there was surely a great deal in the dossier, especially as concerned his scandalous
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on Sen. Al Franken and sexual misconduct allegations (all times local): 1:50 p.m. A top Senate Democrat says he expects Sen. Al Franken to resign Thursday over allegations of sexual misconduct. Another woman has come forward with accusations against the Minnesota Democrat of sexual misconduct. In a tweet on Wednesday, Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon said: “I expect that Senator Franken will announce his resignation tomorrow.” Wyden tweeted that “It is the right thing to do given this series of serious allegations.” More than a dozen Senate Democrats, led by female lawmakers, have called on
Saudi Arabia´s King Salman is reportedly set to announce he will step down as monarch and name his son as successor. If confirmed, it would cement the power of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 32, who has ordered the arrests of more than three dozen princes and ministers in a corruption crackdown. A source told the Daily Mail that King Salman would remain "custodian of the holy shrines" in Mecca and Medina and that the incoming ruler will focus on the kingdom´s policy towards Iran. "Unless something dramatic happens, King Salman will announce the appointment of MBS as King of Saudi
The teenage son of an NFL player who was pulled from his dying mother´s womb after she was murdered by a hitman hired by his athlete father is celebrating his 18th birthday. Chancellor Lee Adams is the son of ex Carolina Panthers star Rae Carruth and Cherica Adams. He was born 10 weeks prematurely via an emergency C-section after his mother was gunned down in a drive-by shooting orchestrated by Carruth because he did not want to pay child support in November 1999. Adams died a month after the shooting and Carruth has been in jail for her murder since 2000. Adams survived. The teenager suffers cerebral palsy
The first community organizer to become president has managed to anger community groups so much with his planned personal monument, aka “presidential center,” that part of the plan was just scrapped. (snip) The original plan would have grabbed a treasured part of Chicago’s park system, the Midway (site of Chicago’s World’s Fair) for a two-story garage. The group Save the Midway sprang up to protect the historic public park land from a private developer (the Obama Foundation) appropriating the land for a private purpose (the Obama Center will not be part of the National Archives System) The embarrassment is palpable:
Clinton Scandals: As the media focus on Donald Trump´s mental condition and whether he can be kicked out of office using the 25th Amendment, something far more significant is taking place: Former slam-dunk-future-first-woman-president Hillary Clinton, after avoiding any serious scrutiny for her misconduct while secretary of state, now sits at the center of a growing number of investigations — any of which might lead to a special counsel and criminal charges. No doubt, Democrats, who with the leftist media allies have ginned up bogus charges of Russian collusion against Donald Trump, would like the Clinton investigations to go away. But
There is music that is clever, inventive and deliberate, full of the arched eyebrows of ingenuity and the sly smile of skill. And then there is music that unchills your heart, music that makes a direct connection with your hopes, dreams, joys, and fears. Reach my heart, then tell me how brilliant you are. This is why, I am quite certain, I prefer Elliot Smith to Paul Simon, Fred Neil to Duncan Sheik, Charles Ives to Leonard Bernstein, the Durutti Column to Dire Straits; these artists created sound and music out of those moments just before tears happen, each of these artists access
Washington state’s Democratic Governor Jay Inslee warned there was “just 59 days” to save future generations from “an endless cycle of crop-killing droughts one year, and rivers spilling their banks the next.” Inslee went on a lengthy Twitter rant in efforts to convince the state legislature to pass legislation to tax carbon dioxide emissions. Washington residents voted down Inslee’s last carbon tax plan by a wide margin in 2016. (Tweet) The state legislature’s session ends in 59 days, on March 8. Democrats have a slim majority in both state legislative chambers. Inslee wants lawmakers to pass a tax on carbon
As many people across the country recognized Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Tuesday, convicted spy Chelsea Manning took to Twitter to blast the men and women in blue. “F–k the police,” Manning tweeted out on Tuesday, followed by “#DisarmThePolice #WeGotThis.” Manning doubled down on her position, sending out a series of tweets with seemingly unsourced stats. Manning, who was known as Bradley Manning before transitioning in prison after her arrest in 2010, was convicted in 2013 of 20 counts, including Espionage Act violations, theft and computer fraud. (Snip) In his final days in office, President Barack Obama granted Manning clemency,
You´ve heard of Benghazi and Uranium One. But more than a year after Hillary Clinton’s resounding loss to President Trump, she must now grapple with a new scandal: An ongoing Federal Election Commission investigation into an alleged $84 million money laundering scheme orchestrated by the Hillary Victory Fund — the $500 million joint fundraising committee between the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and Democratic state parties. Based on former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s public comments, a memo by former Clinton campaign manager Robbie Mook, and months of reviewing FEC reports, the Committee to Defend the President has filed an FEC
EILAT, Israel — The founders of the controversial opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted that they helped the researcher hired to compile the infamous, largely discredited 35-page dossier on President Donald Trump to share the document with Sen. John McCain. The goal of providing the dossier to McCain, the Fusion GPS founders explained, was to pass the information contained in the questionable document to the U.S. intelligence community under the Obama administration. The disclosure raises questions about whether McCain knew that the information he delivered to the intelligence community was actually an opposition document reportedly funded by the Hillary Clinton
The Alabama Crimson Tide came back to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs in overtime, 26-23, to win the college football national championship. Alabama’s win Monday night is the program’s 11th national championship and fifth since 2009.The Crimson Tide won the game in overtime behind freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Tagovailoa took the helm at quarterback after halftime, replacing Jalen Hurts who was mostly ineffective during his time playing. The Crimson Tide were down 13-0 to the Bulldogs at the half. Tagovailoa led Alabama to the victory with three touchdown passes...
A lawyer for the founder of Fusion GPS, the research firm behind a controversial dossier on Donald Trump, told Senate investigators that “somebody’s already been killed” after it was published, according to a transcript of the testimony released on Tuesday. During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in August 2017, Glenn Simpson was questioned about whether he tried to “assess the credibility” of sources behind information uncovered by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent who compiled the dossier. “Yes, but I’m not going to get into sourcing information,” Simpson said. Asked again what “steps he took to verify their credibility,” Simpson declined to
Anti-Trump conservative Bill Kristol said Tuesday on MSNBC that it will be “amusing” if Trump voters get “betrayed” by the president on immigration. Washington Post writer Eugene Robinson, appearing on MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” said, “What I’m seeing from immigration hardliners on Twitter is the line that, ‘the president who we elected to give us a wall and no amnesty, is going to give us amnesty and no wall.’ So that’s sort of the attack on…” Kristol said, “If you put your faith in demagogues–you’re going to be disappointed.” He added, “He didn’t believe any of it. Trade is the one
Huma Abedin backed up copies of her emails with Hillary Clinton to her pervert husband Anthony Weiner´s laptop, DailyMail.com can disclose - conflicting with her account to the FBI and in court that she did not preserve the conversations. An examination by DailyMail.com of emails released by the State Department shows that backup copies of many of Abedin´s work-related messages with Clinton were created in the dates after Clinton left the State Department in early 2013. The emails, released at the end of December, show that they had been put on Weiner´s laptop by a BlackBerry archiving program. A tech
After her rousing speech at the Golden Globes about sexual harassment—she’s got to do something to atone for her years as one of Harvey Weinstein’s celebrity pals—we’ve been inundated with calls for Oprah Winfrey to run for president. The official NBC network account went so far as to post (and later delete) a tweet hailing her as “OUR future president.” Her long-time consort Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times, “She would absolutely do it.” Meryl Streep got so carried away she told The Hill, “Now she doesn’t have a choice” but to run. It continues to amaze me that there
