´I Hate Everyone In the White House´
Trump Seethes As Advisers Fear
the President is Unraveling

Vanity Fair, by Gabriel Sherman

Original Article

At first it sounded like hyperbole, the escalation of a Twitter war. But now it’s clear that Bob Corker’s remarkable New York Times interview—in which the Republican senator described the White House as “adult day care” and warned Trump could start World War III—was an inflection point in the Trump presidency. It brought into the open what several people close to the president have recently told me in private: that Trump is “unstable,” “losing a step,” and “unraveling.” The conversation among some of the president’s longtime confidantes, along with the character of some of the leaks emerging from the White House

I´d be ´unraveling´ too if I was used to hard work with accomplishments and was now in the kabuki dance of political do nothing that is somehow supposed to resemble something getting done.

Consider the source. I don´t believe that people who have been with the President for a long time would divulge anything because they know that there is a concentrated effort to remove him from the Presidency. The President has many who are loyal to him and they know what he is facing. This is just more falsehood being peddled as truth. Anything to harm the President and his agenda. He is their number one threat because he understands exactly that the country is in severe crisis created by the political class and media they want nothing done to fix it. Their corruption and theft of America´s wealth depends on it. God help him. He is fighting an enormous battle against all odds and there are people willing to do ANYTHING to see that he is stopped by any means possible. If you believe in the power of prayer, now is the time. It has never been more important.

Yes #4 -consider the source-the magazine that does the most ´investigation´ stories-somehow forgot to go after the big story of the day- Harvey Weinstein. Could it be that the biggest after Oscar party is theirs? I would think so-they knew but were not going to mess with the gold mine from Hollywood that gives them their biggest issues each year. So what a great time to take the heat off and go for Trump.
Sad for me is how many will believe it. They might as well be living in Europe as they only pay attention to the far left side of anything-the destroy-Trump side.

Even though he´s been fired,I still think Bannon is a negative influence on Trump. I´m sure trump still has contact with Bannon who I think is a half baked right wing extremist. This is causing the chaos from the rest of the WH staff who´s trying to calm things down.Trump makes Bannon like- statements then has to walk them back, like the latest "scandal" that Trump wants to quadruple our nuclear war heads. I mean how many do you need the destroy the Earth? several times over?

Going to Gabriel Sherman and “Vanity Fair” for insightful information about the inner workings of the Trump administration is like reading the Boston sports pages for inside scoops about the Yankees.
For the Gabriel Shermans of the Fourth Estate, election night in 2016 was sunset of the day the music died. So heavily invested in an orderly transfer of power from Obama to Clinton was he that moral and intellectual bankruptcy naturally ensued when Trump disrupted those plans. This piece is nothing more or less than the usual narrative of the bankrupt...”not my fault, my creditors are monsters, everybody knows there are dark forces working against me” and every other trope that losers use when caught backing the wrong horse.
For a journalist who holds himself in self-approving high regard at Sherman’s level, it must be galling to have to resort to unnamed sources and third-hand information in order to get a few thousand words under his byline at Vanity Fair. Trump Derangement Syndrome writ large.

The real point of this fictional article is not to report anything truthful but to give the msm and their apparatchik on TV something to talk about. This is just part of the Democrat meme that President Trump is unstable and needs to be removed from office. Especially now that the Russian collusion seems to losing steam. The coup d´etat by the deep state and the msm continues unabated.

#15 Nobody called anybody a troll.

#11 simply agreed with #5 that trolls hate Trump just like Gabriel Sherman hates Trump.

As far as Bannon goes, I would suggest that anyone who wants to know what value or detriment he brings to the table, Google "The League of Extraordinary Candidates" over at Breitbart. There is a conservative tsunami coming folks. Get ready to back your own local candidate. As for me, I will be helping Kevin Nicholson defeat Tammy Baldwin next fall. In one of his first ads, I heard him say he wants to stop the "leftist, obstructionist agenda of Tammy Balwin". He got my vote right there.

One other thing, the article states that after Luther Strange lost to Judge Moore that: “Alabama was a huge blow to his psyche,” a person close to Trump said. “He saw the cult of personality was broken.” I think the author gets it exactly wrong. His cult of personality wasn´t broken. It was enhanced. It isn´t about Trump. It´s about what he represents. MAGA doesn´t reside in Trump but he represents it in no uncertain terms. When the citizens of Alabama elected Judge Moore, they elected someone who stands for everything Trump has been talking about.
He even wins when he loses!

Bannon is one of the best things that happened to the Trump campaign, and it was a smart move to step out of the constricted situation in the White House and back to where he could do a lot of good in fundraising and planning that would have been more difficult otherwise.

The Bannon haters probably think that Ryan and McConnell are doing a sterling job, and that all we need is to get Trump to calm down and "act like a normal President" and everything will be peaceful and nice. Peaceful and nice is for losers.

This is a "war by other means", the old definition of politics and Bannon understands that and is willing to fight as hard as the Demonrats.

Unfortunately, fighting hard and taking no excuses offends the civilized sensibilities of the old line "conservative" folks like George Will and many more, and apparently some posters here, who desperately want to believe this Fake News.

Fusion GPS to House: We´ll take Fifth

On October 4, the House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm at the center of the Trump dossier affair. On Monday, the company told the House what it can do with its subpoena. Fusion GPS chief Glenn Simpson and two others will "invoke their constitutional privileges not to testify," Simpson´s lawyers told the committee in a letter. The panel shouldn´t even bother to call Simpson to the hearing room, the lawyers said, because he won´t answer their questions under any circumstances. It seems unlikely the House will grant that request. If Simpson and two other GPS officials are

On Tuesday the New Yorker published Ronan Farrow’s expose of Harvey Weinstein, describing in detail the famous Hollywood producer’s long history of sexual abuse and assaults of actresses and other women in the movie industry. Coming on the heels of a New York Times article published last Thursday about Weinstein, the Farrow article seems to clinch the case against a major figure in the world of entertainment, media, and politics. The question is why, after years of protecting Weinstein, did the American press publish two pieces about him in less than a week? Was it because after stories detailing the sex

An American woman and her family, who had been held captive since 2012 by the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani network after being kidnapped while hiking in Afghanistan, were freed, the White House announced Thursday. Caitlin Coleman, 32, was seven months pregnant when she and her Canadian husband Josh Boyle were abducted. President Trump appeared to hint at the news of Coleman´s release during a speech in Coleman´s home state of Pennsylvania. "Something happened today, where a country that totally disrespected us called with some very, very important news," Trump said. "And one of my generals came in. They said, ´You know, I have to tell

The piece was originally supposed to air on the network in February as Hollywood was gearing up for the Oscars. Why didn’t NBC News break the Harvey Weinstein bombshell that ultimately ended up in The New Yorker under the byline of one of its contributors? It’s a question Rachel Maddow put to Ronan Farrow — until this summer an NBC News contributor fronting a series called Undercovered — who had been working on the story for 10 months. Farrow’s piece was originally targeted to air on NBC in February, just as Hollywood was gearing up for the Oscars, sources tell The Hollywood

About 90 percent of Republican voters eventually supported the political novice Donald Trump by November 2016. Most conservatives saw him as the preferable alternative to the vision and agendas of Hillary Clinton. Perhaps most still do after nine months of his presidency. Yet almost half of the elite conservative establishment remains opposed to Republican President Trump. About a quarter of them, it seems, openly despise him. These are prominent Republican senators, think-tank writers, television pundits, op-ed columnists, and generic public intellectuals. MSNBC and CNN are now homes for disgruntled Republicans or former conservative pundits in the way that those outlets once for

Some readers have asked us about a piece by Sharon Waxman, a former reporter for The New York Times who went on to found the entertainment news website The Wrap. Ms. Waxman writes that Times editors “gutted” a story she reported in 2004 on sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Ms. Waxman’s piece was prompted by a Times investigation published last week that found that Mr. Weinstein had sexually harassed numerous women over nearly three decades, and that he had paid at least eight settlements to these women. As a result of the article, Mr. Weinstein was fired from his

After Hurricane Maria’s landslides and flooding further isolated this mountain town, a volunteer doctor rushed to treat diabetic Brunilda Sovilaro, found on the floor of her home, covered in insects, unable to walk, disoriented and refusing to leave. “You are sick. You are very hot,” Dr. Jorge Lopez of Orlando, Fla., told the 50-year-old woman. “Your sugar needs to be controlled. You have chest pain. It could be a problem with your heart. You need to go to the hospital.” Eventually the doctor, a Puerto Rico native who returned to the island from Florida to volunteer, persuaded Sovilaro to board an ambulance

Former President George W. Bush offered an unmistakable denunciation of Trumpism Thursday without mentioning the president by name, urging citizens to oppose threats to American democracy. “Bigotry seems emboldened. Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication,” Bush warned in remarks at the Bush Institute’s Spirit of Liberty event in New York. By chance, Bush was standing in the same spot at the Time Warner Center where former President Barack Obama made a similar plea for democracy and American leadership in late September, shortly after President Donald Trump had finished a belligerent, isolationist speech to the United Nations

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough said President Donald Trump was the “antithesis” of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Scarborough said, “You look in Matthew, and go through the Beatitudes. Every single Beatitude. You go through Jesus’s teaching. What he says he wants people to be. Donald Trump is the antithesis of just about every single thing that Jesus Christ said on the Sermon on the Mount. Go read it.” He added, “None of us are perfect, but he goes out of his way it seems to thumb his nose at all conventions. Including the basics of

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says players should stand for the national anthem, speaking out amid the furor over some players´ protests before games. "We believe everyone should stand for the national anthem. That´s an important part of our policy," Goodell said in a press conference Wednesday in New York. But Goodell said he would not commit to making a rule stating players must stand for the anthem. "Our players will state to you publicly they are not doing this in any way to be disrespectful to the flag," Goodell said. He said the league is "not looking to get into politics, but what

As National Football League owners and players’ union representatives meet in New York today and tomorrow to discuss the players’ recent demonstrations — the kneeling, linking arms or raising fists during the national anthem — they should know how the law views these protests. This will not only tell them what the league lawfully can do; it also will reveal something about American values. There has been some confusion about the law and the anthem protests. Because the First Amendment generally treats government and corporate power differently, allowing a business to impose on its workers what the government

Clinton Scandals: For well over a year now, the progressive left in the Democratic Party have tried hard to sell the idea that, a) Russia meddled in our election, and, b) that it was to the detriment of Hillary Clinton. After nearly a year and a half of investigating, neither appears true. What is true, and now documented, is that Hillary Clinton and her family foundation both benefited handsomely from Russian corruption. Citing federal officials and government documents, The Hill details the Russians´ nuclear-industry corruption here in the U.S., citing extensive evidence that "Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery,

George W. Bush hinted Thursday at his dissatisfaction with Donald Trump, complaining in a New York City speech that ´bullying and prejudice´ has become a caustic norm in American public life. At an event hosted by the George W. Bush Institute, the 43rd U.S. president rattled off a thinly veiled litany of complaints about the current commander-in-chief, focusing on both his tone and his isolationist policy choices. ´Our young people need positive role models,´ he said. ´Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone, provides permission for cruelty and bigotry, and compromises the moral education of children.´

Someone within the Obama administration’s intelligence apparatus made requests to unmask the identity of Americans named in intelligence reports on behalf of Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. That’s what Power told the House Intelligence Committee last week during a closed-door interview. South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy revealed in an interview on Fox News on Tuesday that Power was “emphatic” on the point that someone else in the Obama administration made the unmasking requests that have been attributed to her. Fox News recently reported that Power made approximately 260 unmasking requests — a rate of one per business day

Sen. John McCain exploded on Fox News’ Peter Doocy on Wednesday for asking him if he would oppose everything that President Trump asks him to do. Doocy asked Sen. McCain if his relationship with the president is “so frayed” that McCain would “not support anything that he comes to you and asks for?” McCain snapped, “Why would you say something that stupid? Why would you ask something that dumb?” “My job as a United States senator — you mean I am somehow going to behave in a way that I’m going to block everything because of some personal disagreement?” McCain said incredulously.

A Massachusetts elementary school has canceled its Halloween events and is celebrating ´black and orange spirit day´ instead. Boyden Elementary School´s principal sent a letter to parents this week saying that it had decided to cancel its traditional Halloween parade on October 31 because it was ´not inclusive of all students´ and was ´difficult´ for many. Without specifying which students the parade excluded, Principal Brendan Dearborn said the school would instead hold a ´black and orange spirit day´.  Children are allowed to dress in those colors but cannot come to school in costume. The much-publicized Tuesday meeting between NFL officials, team owners, NFLPA officials and several players lasted about three hours. While there was undoubtedly a lot discussed in that time, it sounds as though there has not been a resolution on a rule change to require that players stand for the national anthem before games. A statement released jointly by the NFL and NFLPA called it a “productive meeting,” and that there will be another session in the future: Today owners and players had a productive meeting focused on how we can work together to promote positive social change and address inequality
