Peace parody: Will Nobel Prize

New York Post, by Seth Lipsky

What a coincidence. Just as President Trump gets ready to disclose his decision on the Iran nuclear deal, speculation is rife that the Nobel Peace Prize will go to the pact’s architects, including Iran’s foreign minister and his pal John Kerry. The prize, to be announced Friday, is given by a committee picked by Norway’s parliament. Bloomberg News reports that the handicappers at the Peace Research Institute Oslo put the Iranian plenipotentiary, Mohammad Javad Zarif, at the top of the list. It’s a long list, to be sure, with 318 candidates from all over the globe. Speculation, though, centers on Zarif and Kerry,

Wow. Proof once again that leftist ´idiocracy´ is global and more common then most of us may perceive. They want to reward those involved in the illegal Iranian deal now? With a ´peace´ prize??

And the amazing thing about Trumps move to ´decertify´ this Iran nuclear deal, unfortunately, is that he is not pulling out of it altogether. Which is what we truly need for us to stop Iran´s nuclear ambitions (within 10 years) to nuke us and Israel. Just like we need ´repeal´ of 0bamacare, not ´replace´ 0bamacare. This whole thing is just so unreal.

He has never received the recognition as a civil rights leader that he deserves.

When the Nobel committee bragged in the presentation ceremony that they gave the prize to Jimmy Carter "as a kick in the shins" to George W. Bush, the prize lost what was left of its credibility.

When they gave it to Obama before he even finished his inauguration speech, it descended into self-parody.

The Nobel Prize is no longer able to "honor" anyone or anything.

Well, probably they will award the prize to Gigolo Kerry just to stick it to Trump. Remember that years back, they gave the prize to Arafat, the father of the suicide bomber. What a joke.

The family has gathered for the holidays, and everyone is merry, but your smile is halfhearted because you know better. You know that sooner or later your relatives will be fiercely divided, as all families are this time of year, by that age-old question: Who was the greatest military general in history? Granddad sticks with the classic: Caesar. Aunt Kathy, feeling clever: Saladin. Uncle Bill, after some lengthy, awkward qualifying preamble: Robert E. Lee. Your 7-year-old little brother Tyson, shouting from the kids’ table with some pretty solid name-based logic: Alexander the Great. Soon battles are reenacted in mashed potato

World War I ended with the collapse of vast empires and the age-old monarchies that ran them. What kind of a new world would emerge from the imperial rubble? The poet William Butler Yeats was nothing if not pessimistic. In 1919, he wrote: Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the center cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world . . . Have we come to a similar breaking point in the world today, as some people think — an unfolding of events that leads not to peace and

That is what the widow of Kentucky State Rep Dan Johnson, who killed himself over molestation accusations, said about her husband´s suicide : LOUISVILLE — Dan Johnson posted a final message to his friends and family Wednesday afternoon on Facebook. It appeared to be a goodbye. In it, Johnson denied the accusations that had tormented him and his family for the past 48 hours — that he, a Kentucky state representative and the self-proclaimed “Pope” of his Louisville church, had gotten drunk and molested a 17-year-old girl during a sleepover years ago. “GOD knows the truth, nothing is the way they make it

‘Our record as journalists in covering this Trump story and the Russian story is pretty good,” legendary reporter Carl Bernstein recently claimed. Pretty good? If there’s a major news story over the past 70 years that the American media have botched more often because of bias and wishful thinking, I’d love to hear about it. Four big scoops recently run by major news organizations, written by top reporters and, presumably, churned through layers of scrupulous editing, turned out to be completely wrong. Reuters, Bloomberg and others reported that special counsel Robert Mueller’s office had subpoenaed President Trump’s records from Deutsche Bank.

When ESPN canceled its new program with Barstool Sports this fall after just one episode, the network tried to distance itself from the men’s blog that has stoked criticism for everything from calling Rihanna fat to saying girls wearing skinny jeans deserve to be raped. But a controversy about the treatment of women was already brewing inside the network. The Bristol, Conn., juggernaut was under scrutiny for a sexual harassment and retaliation complaint filed this summer with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. And ESPN’s willingness to partner with Barstool emboldened others to speak out about the entrenched locker room culture,

It’s this close: Republicans in the House and Senate have struck a $1.5 trillion tax-cut deal that could put the economy on a fast track for years. All they need is to put the final touches on the bill and pass it in both chambers. President Trump could sign it by Christmas. That would be a major win — not just for Trump and the GOP, but for America. GOP lawmakers managed to address some key gripes about the plan. To ease the hit in high-tax states from the cap on the state-and-local-tax (SALT) writeoff, they dropped the top rate from 39.6

There is strong circumstantial evidence that an insidious plot unprecedented in American history was hatched within the FBI and the Obama Justice Department to help elect Hillary Clinton and defeat Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. (Snip) Such a plot would show that partisans within the FBI and the Justice Department, driven by personal animus and a sense of political righteousness, surreptitiously conspired to subvert electoral democracy itself in our country. As of now, we have no proof beyond a reasonable doubt of such a plot. But we have very strong circumstantial evidence.
