Movie and television producer Harvey Weinstein will take an indefinite leave of absence from his company, the board of directors of The Weinstein Co. announced on Friday. According to a statement released by the directors, the next steps for the Hollywood mogul´s future with the company will depend on his therapeutic progress and the results of an internal investigation. The statement was signed by four of six remaining board members. The move comes after The New York Times reported Thursday that Weinstein has reached at least eight legal settlements with women over alleged harassment. Weinstein´s alleged inappropriate

In about a month, Weinstein may be back with his wife at his side, claiming to be "all better" after his re-hab in some opulent fabulously pricey resort like clinic. And all will be forgiven, for this major Democrat donor, bundler, and great pal of Obama and both Clintons.

How will taking time off help a lifetime of being a sexual predator? Only in Hollywood where they love Roman Polanski and other rapists and abusers.

In other words he is going to hide out, and let his PR people do their thing, until he thinks the smoke has cleared.

Attacking the NRA will be a good diversion to keep the liberal minds distracted.

What does a Leave Of Absence mean to a Board Member? They are elected by stock holders and not by the management or the rest of the board.

So won´t a LOA let him decide when he can return? Will his compensation change while he is on LOA.

Details. What exactly was taken from him? And what exactly did he ask of the Board?

A former congressional intern reportedly says she too was a victim of inappropriate sexual contact by now-retired Rep. John Conyers, saying Conyers even claimed during that encounter to have “inside information” on then-missing federal intern Chandra Levy. Courtney Morse, 36, described the incident from 16 years ago to The Washington Post. She said Conyers, D-Mich., mentioned the Levy case when Morse was a college intern for him and the congressman drove her home one night. Morse said Conyers wrapped his hand around hers while it was in her lap and said he was interested in a sexual relationship,

Kampala, Uganda - For years African leaders have toyed with the idea of free movement by citizens across the continent, even raising the possibility of a single African passport. Now some countries, most recently Kenya, are taking bold steps to encourage borderless travel that could spur trade and economic growth in a region in desperate need of both. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta announced during his inauguration last week that the East African commercial hub will now give visas on arrival to all Africans. That follows similar measures by nations including Benin and Rwanda. The African Union continental body has cheered

(Video) - President Trump plans to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the American Embassy there, upending nearly seven decades of American foreign policy and potentially destroying his efforts to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Mr. Trump’s decision, a high-risk foray into the thicket of the Middle East, was driven not by diplomatic calculations but by a campaign promise. The left, including much of the media, are going nuts now, drooling at Michael Flynn’s guilty plea as if it’s the final nail in President Donald Trump’s coffin — the long-sought means to the impeachment end. It’s not. That’s ludicrous. And the more hours that tick since Flynn announced his guilty plea, the more ludicrous the left’s wild-eyed panting seems. Here are the facts: Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about communications he had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on Dec. 22 and 29. NFL Network reported that “multiple firings” would go down on Monday, though there is no word yet on the fate of GM Jerry Reese. It was a stunning fall for McAdoo, who led the Giants to 11 wins and a wild-card playoff spot in his first season. The team entered 2017 with sky-high

Al Franken’s resignation speech on Thursday seemed less heartfelt than grudging. He cast it not as an act of atonement — he continues to deny the charges largely and acknowledged through his stifled rage that his previous quasi-apologies had hastened his demise — but a reluctant act of gallantry. He was submitting docilely to the “broader conversation” on sexual harassment, he said, while signaling that his replacement, to whom he referred as “her,” would be a female pol embodying that conversation. The speech followed the usual pattern of lying pols: I didn’t do it, I’m only quitting because I am a

The phrase “do not let us fall into temptation,” which the Catholic Church in France has previously decided to use, would be a more appropriate alternative, Francis said.
