Dem calls for all NFL players
to kneel during national anthem

The Hill, by John Bowden

Original Article

Posted By:blizzard, 9/23/2017 12:34:58 PM

Former Democratic Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) tweeted that she hopes all NFL players kneel during the national anthem on Sunday in response to President Trump´s remarks attacking Colin Kaepernick. Edwards, who left Congress earlier this year, called Trump a "white supremacist who squats in our White House" in her tweet.

Comments:
It might not take five years for the NFL to kill itself. If these idiots kneel em masse as she is asking, they may not make it to next season with ZERO ratings. I only watch because of fantasy football. But I can fill that time with a lot of other more productive things.

The NFL needs me more than I need the NFL.

They want to take a knee on America, that´s their choice. They can live with the consequences.

Cleveland tried that mass "kneeling" thing, and wound up doing a rah-rah-All-American-flag-waving extravaganza two weeks later to try to make amends (not to mention the legendary Jim Brown, who pushed a couple of cinematic envelopes himself as a movie performer, coming to visit their locker room to tell them not to do that kind of stuff). I´m not looking for the whole NFL to heed a wacky politico´s call.

And have you seen where Curry NBA player refuses t visit the WH. PRESIDENT Trump told Curry he was uninvited. I love it. And the labron gets his two cents in slamming PRESIDENT Trump. These sports jockeys are getting STUPID.

Goodel just signed the NFL´s death warrant! He can´t/won´t take a stand against their disrespectful behavior but he will criticize Trump.

Stupid is as stupid does...and OP is right. If they kneel en masse, they may as well cancel the rest of the season. Patriotic Americans won´t stand for it. If they think their ratings are bad now, they haven´t seen anything yet!

It´s long past time for these owners to get together and stop this disrespectful behavior by a bunch of spoiled, privileged activists.

And, now I know why they´re trying to expand to London and Mexico. They need new fans, who don´t like the American flag either.

I´ll bet that every NFL player has a clause in his contract that states that he will not do anything unlawful or that will be detrimental to the team´s image.

If this is true that means that an owner can punish a player who does not abide by these rules. Any owner who has the guts can fine or fire the player.

No owner has the guts to do it though !!!

Most blacks have always resented the white rule of law to some extent. The rule of law applies to gamesmanship in sports and setting good example for kids etc.

If we tune out, then they will change the way they act. Don´t know why politicians or the president needs to weigh in. These players do these things because they get a lot of attention...from us. It´s not as if what they say or do means anything or is more informed than any other average person. They just have cameras on them. But, they still need us to watch them in order to do it. Answer=stop watching.

Well, I guess you´ve got me there, #15.

However, if, over the course of 5 seasons, you´ve managed to win either 1st or 2nd place, it´s the other members of your league that need to heed my advice. Unless, of course, it´s a league of (2) and the entry fee is $562.50, you´re still taking a risk for very little return.

Al Franken’s resignation speech on Thursday seemed less heartfelt than grudging. He cast it not as an act of atonement — he continues to deny the charges largely and acknowledged through his stifled rage that his previous quasi-apologies had hastened his demise — but a reluctant act of gallantry. He was submitting docilely to the “broader conversation” on sexual harassment, he said, while signaling that his replacement, to whom he referred as “her,” would be a female pol embodying that conversation. The speech followed the usual pattern of lying pols: I didn’t do it, I’m only quitting because I am a

Opposition research must have started as soon as, if not before, Donald Trump announced he was running for president. I am sure many of Trump´s Republican opponents, as well as Hillary Clinton, the DNC, liberal interest groups, the media, and others were searching far and wide for trash on Trump. The research must not have produced enough trash, or else why would the DNC and Hillary have paid Fusion GPS so handsomely to create what is clearly a false document? Fusion GPS trafficked the document to the Justice Department and intelligence officials. They obviously had seen how many intelligence officials
