Moscow - Ukraine will not receive lethal weapons from the United States, but a firm commitment that Kiev will be supplied with radio warfare and other equipment has been obtained, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said after talks with US President Donald Trump. (Snip) Stalemate Poroshenko said on Tuesday that the US Senate had approved the allocation of $500 million to support Ukraine´s security and defense sectors, adding that Kiev would receive defensive lethal weapons. Ukraine has repeatedly asked to be supplied with lethal and non-lethal weapons from the European Union and the United States.

Comments:
0bama should have protected Ukraine as we were obligated by treaty. That would have stopped the Russians from invading them and taking Crimea. Trump made this as a pledge as a presidential candidate. Another huge promise being kept and ignored by the "fake news" media.

(Video) - A fisherman whose prank almost killed him after the Dover sole he had just caught jumped down his throat when he posed with it over his mouth, has said he feels lucky "beyond winning the lottery" after paramedics managed to save him. The 14cm (5.5in) fish completely blocked Sam Quilliam´s airway, stopping him from breathing and causing him to go into cardiac arrest after he attempted to "kiss the fish", an angler´s tradition of saying thank you to their catch before returning it to the water. Yet as the 28-year-old explained, as he posed with the fish "it shot out of my hand, into my mouth and basically swam straight

Seoul - As the United States and South Korea prepared for next week’s joint naval exercise, North Korean officials on Friday renewed their threat to launch ballistic missiles near Guam, an American territory in the western Pacific. The drill, which involves the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan, is scheduled to begin on Monday in waters east and west of South Korea. (Snip) Although both South Korea and the United States insist next week’s drill is defensive in nature, North Korea considers such war games rehearsals for invasion. It remains unclear whether North Korea will lash out with a weapons test during the exercise, as it often has in

Washington - Stuffed by their captors into the back of a car with their children as they were being ferried across the rugged tribal areas of northwest Pakistan, an American woman and her Canadian husband were in the final moments of their five-year ordeal as hostages. But suddenly, shooting erupted. One of their abductors, a Taliban-linked militant, shouted, “Kill the hostages.” The militants found themselves cornered by Pakistani troops. The gun battle ended, and soldiers pulled the family from the vehicle, to be taken by helicopter to Islamabad. They were safe. The Pakistanis, acting on information provided by American

"We are stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values," he said, adding, "Guess what, we´re saying Merry Christmas again." Trump last spoke to the Values Voter Summit 13 months ago -- two months before Election Day, at a time when he was still viewed as a long shot. US President Donald Trump‘s ability to strike first with his country’s nuclear arsenal could be curtailed under a new proposal by his rival Democratic Party. Senator Nancy Pelosi said her party’s politicians were looking at an option which would require the US leader to get approval from a special Committee before any launch took place. “The law under which the president can use nuclear weapons is ancient, from 1946,” she told a press conference. “It was passed in a different world.” The President has ultimate authority to deploy the weapons under the current “first-use” policy. Ms Pelosi said one option for reform would be

Despite Chicago’s alarming, if select, murder statistics and routine singling out by President Donald Trump for gun violence, this lakeside metropolis was just ranked one of the safest cities in the world. The Economist Intelligence Unit, a London-based research firm affiliated with the Economist magazine, named Chicago to its 2017 Safe Cities Index, issued Thursday — one of only three US cities to crack the top 20 — largely based on advances in digital security. The annual ranking assesses 60 global cities using four factors: personal safety, health security, digital security and the safety of infrastructure. Chicago, at 19th-safest, narrowly trailed the other

The former law professor may take on the role of "University Professor," which would allow Clinton to lecture in multiple schools and departments without the requirement of a strict course load, a source told the Daily News. Former President Barack Obama’s foundation mission is “to inspire and empower people to change their world.” So who better to fire up his audience for democratic change than a man whose family has headed the British state by divine right for the better part of 1,000 years? Royal heartthrob Prince Harry — fifth in line to the British throne, behind his niece, nephew, brother and father — is coming to Chicago on Oct. 31 to “empower participants with tools to create positive change in their communities,” according to the Obama Foundation, which will host Harry at its inaugural summit. What the president is doing, it´s violent. His actions are violent. He does violence to what we want to do in health care. He does violence to the national debt by what he is adding to it. He does violence to the world, in terms of nuclear proliferation and the environment and our standing in the world, with his frivolity. What we want him to do is to calm down, get used to the job he has, know that his words weigh a ton, and that he really should know what he´s talking about when he says something.
