The Latest: Kerry Charges Trump
Speech to UN Was Too Harsh

Associated Press, by Staff

United Nations - The Latest on President Donald Trump and North Korea (all times local): 8:00 a.m. Former Secretary of State John Kerry says President Donald Trump´s United Nations speech may have put America in isolation and danger. Appearing on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" show Wednesday, Kerry criticized Trump´s harsh rhetoric against North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Kerry said, "You have to ask yourself: Is America safer because of ´rocket man?" He was referring to Trump´s characterization of Kim. Kerry said that kind of harsh language will make it harder for the United States to engage in diplomacy on

Comments:
Ah yes, the incompetent jerk Kerry finally joins the fray. It´s really rich coming that feckless hack who left the world in total disarray.. He is just one of the long list of extremely incompetent Secys of State among Democrats who have done absolutely nothing but appease that maniac in North Korea. I´m surprised he didn´t drag James Taylor over there and sing ´You´ve got a friend´ to further appease them. That was a real horror show in France.

He is okay to lecture Trump on getting away from taxing a yacht, but beyond gestures with borrowed war medals, Kerry doesn´t know that he doesn´t even know.

To Kerry and most Democrats in charge of foreign policy in my lifetime, ´diplomacy´ actually is nothing more than handing the Kim Dynasty whatever financial aid it requires to keep their palace open and the scotch and caviar flowing. Since they are one of the few truly communist countries on earth, they have no way of getting the money necessary to pay for this fascist facade. Every few years, when the well starts to run dry , the rest of the world receives threats to the point that we send them more ´diplomacy´. I predict that all of the members of the politburo/regime and , unfortunately, innocent people living in Pyongyang may well pay the ultimate price now that we finally have a president that puts America first.

The decision by the NFL Compensation Committee on Wednesday to give Commissioner Roger Goodell a five-year contract extension that could top out at nearly $40 million a year is pure craziness. NFL owners are watching their brand implode and TV ratings for games plummet under a reckless commissioner – and they fail to see that Goodell is running the wrong game plan. Giving Goodell a huge compensation package like this – 90 percent of it tied to incentives – is like giving Hillary Clinton an award for outstanding email practices and honesty. If the media are defining “collusion” as President Trump’s team being willing to accept potentially beneficial information from Russia in the 2016 election, all future cable news analysis on the issue should include a disclaimer: Hillary Clinton’s campaign did precisely the same thing and more! There is no real consensus about what any collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia would have entailed (which is helpful for Democrats and self-interest-driven Republicans like Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., in maintaining a scandalous fog over the White House) but news reports typically discuss it with ominous references to campaign advisers and aides who had any

Short of impeaching President Trump, does anything excite Democrats, the Resistance, and NeverTrumpers like the prospect of the president firing special counsel Robert Mueller? Firing Mueller would, or course, be the quickest way for Trump to get impeached, which might explain a certain air of anticipation in discussions of whether — some prefer to say when -- Trump will sack the prosecutor leading the Trump-Russia investigation. There has been a lot of news and commentary recently interpreting criticism of Mueller by a number of pro-Trump media voices as an effort to encourage Trump to fire Mueller, or lay the groundwork for
