President Trump Has Reached a
Compromise with Top Democrats on DACA

Time Magazine, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 9/13/2017 10:31:44 PM

Washington - The top House and Senate Democrats said Wednesday they had reached agreement with President Donald Trump to protect thousands of younger immigrants from deportation and fund some border security enhancements — not including Trump´s long-sought border wall. The deal announced by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi following a White House dinner would enshrine protections for the nearly 800,000 immigrants brought illegally to this country as kids who had benefited from former President Barack Obama´s Deferred Action for Childhood

This is going to get the ´Nattering nabobs of negativism´ going in DC and elsewhere. There is definitely going to be smoke over the swamp water tomorrow. Ink will be spilled in the press rooms and in the streets. Just wait for the White House press conference, ot Trump tweets first. And, bad blood is going to rise on both sides of the Congressional aisles.

The ball is in Congress’s court. Now it’s up to Schumer and Pelosi to talk it through the Congress. Republicans and Democrats.

What is the likelihood that that will happen?

Seems like solid news; Time explicitly says Pelosi and Schumer announced it.

Trump knew half a loaf is better than none. So do the Dems.

GOPe again seems clueless. You can almost hear Mitch and Paul asking "What just happened?"

Ryan and McConnell caught with their pants down. This needs to be legislated, not XO´ed. Since the GOP is in the majority, and these a-holes were going to cave anyway, Trump just scored bigly. Lets bring this to We The People and let us have our say.

Virtually the same as the Fox News article. Much is from AP.

Democratic congressional leaders emerged from a meeting with President Donald Trump Wednesday vowing to pursue an agreement protecting immigrants who were brought illegally into the U.S. as children from deportation.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/09/13/schumer-pelosi-say-have-deal-with-trump-to-protect-dreamers.html

As I said, now it’s up to them to “pursue an agreement”. Any law has to come from Congress. Trump hasn’t given away a thing. Congress can still go thumbs down. And he’ll get his part of the deal. Meanwhile his wall is outside of this deal.

Someday I hope those who need to think from a to b to c to d to….. and trust the media headlines for their facts will come to understand how this president works. And that the media misleads when it isn’t outright lying.

Those who don’t read and comprehend what they are reading, what the words really say and don’t say (did you hear a quote from President Trump?), are in factual nowheresville.

Strategy. It’s about strategy.

For those of you who mock the news sources used, first understand. We are a "breaking news" website. There were no other sources in the minutes it took to prepare and post it. In fact, Time updated the article, causing me change shorter version. Second, here are now the ledes by other sources. Pray tell, if any one of them was up, and Fox News isn´t amongst them, should the story just wait till then?

"Pelosi, Schumer on dinner with Pres. Trump: Both sides have "agreed" to immigration reform package and border security, "excluding the wall" (ABC News)

"Democrats said they had an agreement with Trump to protect "Dreamers." The White House was more muted" (New York Times)

"Trump & Dems agree to DACA fix and resolve to iron out border-security plan, excluding wall, Schumer and Pelosi say (CNN)

Democrats say they have a tentative deal with Trump on young migrants known as "dreamers" (Bloomberg News)

"Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer announce DACA agreement with Pres. Trump" (CBS News)

"Trump, Democrats reach an agreement to protect young immigrants and boost border security that excludes wall funding" (Wall Street Journal)

Still nothing from Fox News or Washington Post.

From the NYT:

In its own statement, the White House was far more muted, mentioning DACA as merely one of several issues that were discussed, including tax reform and infrastructure. It called the meeting, which came a week after the president struck a stunning spending-and-debt deal with the Democratic leaders, “a positive step toward the president’s strong commitment to bipartisan solutions.”

But the bipartisan comity appeared to have its limits. In a tweet, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, disputed the Democrats’ characterization of Mr. Trump’s stance on the border wall. “While DACA and border security were both discussed, excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to,” she wrote.

So already the dissent has begun over what was really discussed...

#7, this is a strategy for disaster.

If true, throwing it to Congress is deflecting responsibility for what Mr. Trump said in his campaign.

One can have a change of heart and a conscience that guides you, but if this is true and Chuck U. Schumer and Crazy Nancy P are dictating the terms of the "deal", we will be sold out again due to a "strategy".

Confidence and faith in the integrity of our President just so he can get a "win" is wavering as he tries to undercut the promises he made to get elected.

What about the forgotten man he mention in his inaugural speech?

Now he wants to raise taxes on many who are not rich while calling it a tax cut. This is beginning to sound like more redistribution of wealth.

"Compromise" can get deals done, but there were no ironclad promises to control spending us into oblivion...

THIS is why it is dangerous to even talk with dems. It´s like taking with "Russians". If you were in the same room with a Russian, who KNOWS what evil you were plotting. Besides that, the Russian may report things about the meeting that are not true and crazy people accept it as true. A simple greeting and a handshake becomes an "agreement" of some type.

Dems are the same way. You meet them and you shake their hand. One of them mentions they are concerned about building a border wall. There is no further discussion about it and other topics are discussed. You say "I would like to be able to work together to address the "Dreamers". Later the dems report you have made a deal and the wall is not part of it. What the heck???? There is NO deal for the wall to be part of yet all the media now tries to pen you into the "agreement" you made, that you never made.

The dems fake it up as they go along. It´s all they can do. They are toxic. Every Republican trying to work with the dems gets burned, now or eventually.
