Trump cuts off visas for countries

The Trump administration announced Wednesday it has ordered the State Department to limit certain visas for Cambodia, Eritrea, Guinea, and Sierra Leone because those countries have refused to accept the return of its nationals who are deported from the United States. "International law obligates each country to accept the return of its nationals ordered removed from the United States," Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke said in a statement. "Cambodia, Eritrea, Guinea, and Sierra Leone have failed in that responsibility. The United States itself routinely cooperates with foreign governments in

No-brainer.

Let´s wait and see what oddball group will search for a friendly federal district court judge to impose an injunction on the President´s executive order.

Hollywood Stars Don´t Know Whether To

Daily Wire, by Joseph Curl    Original Article

It´s the Perfect Storm. Hollywood comes together on Sunday to celebrate itself in the first of many such evenings to come, this time for the Golden Globes. Tonight´s awards show is sure to be the most political, pedantic and pathetic in history. First, Hollywood hates the current president of the United States, Donald Trump. After eight years of basking in the glow of The Chosen One, Barack Obama, celebrities have come out of the woodwork to protest every move Trump makes (when Roseanne Arquette is tweeting nonstop about him, you know the hate has reached even the D-listers). But more,

DES MOINES, Iowa —It’s been a billion-dollar lottery weekend after a lone Powerball ticket sold in New Hampshire matched all six numbers and will claim a $570 million jackpot, one day after another single ticket sold in Florida nabbed a $450 million Mega Millions grand prize. The winning Powerball numbers drawn Saturday night were 12-29-30-33-61 and Powerball 26. The Powerball jackpot was the nation’s seventh largest. The Florida Lottery says the winning Mega Millions ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Port Richey. The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers to claim the

I saw an article by the AP the other day where they were ripping Trump as a know-nothing because he tweeted that the Northeast could use a little of that global warming. The article said 2017 was the warmest year on record except for El Niño years, which means that it was not the warmest on record. The article could have been in The Onion for how worthless it was. The intent was to make people believe that 2017 was the warmest on record. The article should say that El Niño, La Niña, the Jet Stream, polar vortices, solar activity,

White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller is set to make a return to television on Sunday. Miller has largely been kept out of the spotlight since a heated exchange with CNN´s Jim Acosta over immigration figures — a performance that was cheered by conservatives. But Miller is slated to reemerge tomorrow and face off against the questioning of another CNN fixture, Jake Tapper, during "State of the Union." (Tweet) It is unclear what will be asked of Miller, but immigration will likely be broached as Miller is President Trump´s top adviser on the topic. The White House last week

First, a few thoughts on the DOJ´s reported interest in taking another look at Hillary Clinton´s protocol-violating and national security-compromising email server, a scandal about which she lied repeatedly: (1) I´d be a bit surprised if DOJ ends up pursuing charges, as that ship likely sailed when James Comey (wrongly, in my view) chose not to recommend prosecution in July 2016. (2) I´m somewhat uncomfortable seeing the supposedly-independent Justice Department clearly bowing to incessant political pressure from the president on this subject. It´s true that President Obama telegraphed his preferred outcome

Now that Steve Bannon has carried his political jihad to its logical conclusion, martyrdom never looked so meaningless. A bright and talented man has sacrificed himself over nothing more significant than anger and vanity. Consider a recent report that Bannon was mulling the idea of running for president in 2020. Presumably that was part of his plan to elect a batch of Roy Moores, depose Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and reshape congress to match his own definition of economic nationalism. As such, Bannon’s decision to go out in a blaze of personal attacks on the president and everybody else in the White

Whether it is merely the FBI trying to restore its shattered credibility or justice finally being done, the news that the pay-to-play activities of the Clinton Foundation are going to get renewed and serious attention is welcome. The Clintons have made a career of ignoring, skirting, and breaking the law. Up to this point, crime has paid off handsomely for the Clintons, but now they may find themselves caught between Little Rock and a hard place: The Justice Department has launched a new inquiry into whether the Clinton Foundation engaged in any pay-to-play politics or other illegal activities while Hillary Clinton served
