Liberals sick of the alt-left
are taking ´the red pill´

Fox News Opinion, by Elizabeth Ames

Original Article

Posted By:dvc, 9/13/2017 11:02:10 AM

The mainstream media failed to see the rise of Donald Trump in 2016. Now it’s overlooking another grassroots movement that may soon be of equal significance— the growing number of liberals “taking the red pill.” People of all ages and ethnicities are posting YouTube videos describing “red pill moments”—personal awakenings that have caused them to reject leftist narratives imbibed since childhood from friends, teachers, and the news and entertainment media. You might say that those who take the red pill have been “triggered.” But instead of seeking out “safe spaces,” they’re doing the opposite, posting monologues throwing off the shackles

Comments:
Sounds like the Antifa and PC have pushed some people too far and they are snapping back. Let´s hope that the wheels are really coming off of their identity politics, "you´re a victim" hate train.
There is also some indication of people recognizing that traditional values are a route to success and sanity in life.

There comes a time in every era when the merely nuts can no longer stomach the actions of the truly insane and start seeing the validity of what their former opposition was saying. I´m glad to see some of the Left coming to their senses and throwing off the shackles of Marxist ´tolerance´.

Yes, I stumbled upon a few videos of people who say they´ve been ´red-pilled´. They are interesting to watch/listen to. I just hope it will be a permanent transformation.

I saw this last year campaigning for Trump. One quarter of our visitors were between 18 and 30. A large majority of those were Bernie voters disgusted with the DNC and Hillary! Our most popular bumper sticker was, "Feeling Berned? Vote Trump."

Re #5, I think it’s “they were WOKE”. Or they be WOKE.

Whenever I hear “woke” I think “Wacko Maxine Waters”.

Shocked former classmates who attended middle and high school with Texas church gunman Devin Patrick Kelley described him Monday as being heavily medicated and someone who kept to himself -- despite a deluge of posts on his apparent Facebook profile about weapons and atheism. Kelley -- dressed entirely in black and "wearing a face mask with a white skull on it," according to Texas Department of Public Safety´s regional director Freeman Martin -- burst into the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas on Sunday and killed at least 26 people, one as young as 18-months old.

As the cracks in its basement walls slowly widen, a visual clue to the slow sinking of the 645-ft. skyscraper, the residents of Millennium Tower file lawsuits and wonder how far their homes - and their investments in those homes -- will sink. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said a terrorist who mowed down more than 20 people with a truck in New York City must be held as an "enemy combatant," not as a common criminal. He told Shannon Bream on "Fox News @ Night" that 29-year-old Uzbek immigrant Sayfullo Saipov should be held by U.S. intelligence for as long as necessary to figure out whether he was part of a broader ISIS plot and to examine his past contacts. "The last thing that I want this guy to hear tonight is, ´You have the right to a lawyer.´ The last thing he

At least one woman was shot and killed and several other people were wounded on Sunday when a gunman wearing a ski mask opened fire inside a Tennessee church, Nashville police said. The gunman, who officials said shot himself and was taken to a hospital, opened fire in Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, southeast of Nashville, just after 11 a.m. and fired “multiple rounds,” police said in a news conference. The Nashville Fire Department called the incident “a mass casualty situation.” A man confronted the gunman at one point and was pistol-whipped, causing "significant injury around his head."

On the anniversary of Donald Trump´s victory, many conservatives were delighted watching the outrageous video meltdowns of the leftwing media. They should be afraid rather than amused. The anger and disappointment over Hillary Clinton´s 2016 loss is not only unprecedented, it´s inexplicable. These are supposedly intelligent, educated professionals and yet their anguish has in some cases turned to unbridled hatred towards the voters who dared to think for themselves. We have been labeled deplorable, moronic, racists and despicable even though these so-called failed political prognosticators have no idea who we really are.

Who’s afraid of the Clintons? Not Donna Brazile. The explosive book by the former head of the Democratic National Committee is rocking the political world with its tales of Hillary Clinton’s brazen corruption and tawdry deceits. To add extra punch to her insider’s account, Brazile is telling interviewers that Clinton’s 2016 campaign was “sterile” and a “cult,” and mocking it as sexless and joyless. She even writes that she considered trying to replace Clinton as the nominee over health concerns after the candidate collapsed at the 9/11 anniversary ceremony, a fact that demolishes the myth that suspicions about Clinton’s

“If these allegations are true,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Thursday, “he must step aside.” That was the typical Republican reaction to the accusation that Roy Moore, Alabama´s GOP nominee for the Senate, sexually accosted a 14-year-old girl when he was a local prosecutor decades ago. This is the most reasonable position. A child sex predator does not belong in the Senate and certainly does not deserve the support of the Republican Party. Second, there’s got to be some presumption of innocence. Whether the accusation is of sexual assault, public corruption, or anything else, an accusation is not proof

The UCLA basketball players arrested for allegedly shoplifting a pair of sunglasses in a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, China have been left behind to face the tender mercies of Chinese justice. (snip) What Chinese justice deserves, and should demand in return for letting off the students with a warning, is a public formal apology from the head of the University of California for failing to prepare the students for their responsibility as representatives of a world-famous university. That would be Janet Napolitano. In the old days before the Chinese Revolution, such an apology would involve the penitent individual kneeling on

Pope Francis is blasting “shortsighted human activity” for global warming and rising sea levels and is urging leaders at climate talks in Germany to take a global outlook as they negotiate ways to curb heat-trapping emissions. Francis met Saturday with a delegation of leaders from the Pacific islands and told them he shares their concerns about rising sea levels and increasingly intense storms that are threatening their small islands. He decried in particular the state of oceans, where overfishing and pollution by plastics are threatening fish stocks and sea life that are critical to Pacific livelihoods. He said several causes

Former CIA Director John Brennan speculated Sunday that President Trump is “intimidated” or “afraid” of Russian president Vladimir Putin. In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Brennan also dodged a question about whether he has seen evidence that the Russian government has compromising material on Trump. The existence of Russian “kompromat” on Trump has been the subject of intense debate ever since the publication of the infamous Steele dossier earlier this year. “I think Mr. Trump is, for whatever reason, either intimidated by Mr. Putin, or afraid of what he could do or what might come out as

Sponsors of Sean Hanity´s Fox News program are pulling their ads from the prime time commentator´s show following his coverage of the sexual misconduct allegations against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. Keurig, Realtor.com, 23 and Me, Eloquii and Nature´s Bounty all said over the weekend that they would no longer run ads on Hannity´s show, prompting a backlash from protesters on social media. Moore is being accused of having pursued inappropriate sexual relationships with younger women while he was a district attorney in Alabama during the 1970s. Two years ago, as others in California were limiting cooperation with federal immigration agents, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department welcomed them into its jail. Sheriff Margaret Mims gave U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement unrestricted access to databases and private rooms to interview inmates. She reorganized release times so agents could easily pick up people who had served their sentences. The policy sparked outrage among immigrant rights groups, who called it a pipeline from incarceration to immigrant detention, one that they said disproportionately and unfairly affects Latinos. “We are not anti-immigrant for

Washington - People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY. The decision to open Army recruiting to those with mental health conditions comes as the service faces the challenging goal of recruiting 80,000 new soldiers through September 2018. To meet last year´s goal of 69,000, the Army accepted more recruits who fared poorly on aptitude tests, increased the number of waivers granted for marijuana use and offered hundreds of millions

The Roger Goodell contract details are leaking as fast as Ezekiel Elliott runs. Dual reports centering on the most contentious commissioner in American sports were released Sunday, one far less kind to Goodell than the other. ESPN cited sources with the figures for the contract extension Goodell has proposed to the NFL’s Competition Committee. According to a source familiar with the negotiations, Goodell has not budged from an offer he submitted around Aug. 1 in which he asks for $49.5 million per year, the lifetime use of a private jet and lifetime health insurance for his family (cue the players’ fury). Celebrating the man who became a movement. Much has changed in the four years since Colin Kaepernick was last on the cover of GQ. Back then he was a rippling superhero of a quarterback on the rise. But a simple act—kneeling during the national anthem—changed everything. It cost him his job. It also transformed Colin Kaepernick into a lightning rod and a powerful symbol of activism and resistance. Though Colin Kaepernick continues his silent protest, he agreed to collaborate with GQ on a special project for our December Men of the Year issue in an effort to, as the piece
