´I made fire!´ Megyn Kelly takes her kids camping, sings and plays the guitar while indulging in some PDA with her husband in glowing Today piece as rumors swirl* Daily Mail [UK], by Anneta Konstantinides
The debut of Megyn Kelly´s morning show is nearly a month away, and NBC is working hard to try and make sure America falls in love with the real her. The former Fox News host was featured in a glowing segment about taking her family camping as part of the Today Show´s ´Summer of Yes´ series. Megyn, her husband Douglas Brunt, and their three children Edward, seven, Yardley, six, and Thatcher, four, were filmed hiking, singing around the campfire, and touching worms. ´Sadly, I haven´t spent a lot of time outdoors since I moved to New York. I feel the
Comments: *her co-workers are fed up with her ´divalike ways´
O M G Barf alert! That is one of the most forced, pathetic, convoluted things I have ever seen. It was truly cringeworthy. They really are trying to make her seem like she is just like everyone else when we know that is hardly the case. The look on Al Roker´s face in the video says it all. All of them were trying to act enthused and it just fell flat.
Hold on a second here. She went someplace with her husband and kids?? Seriously? After at least a decade of all solo appearances on the public stage she is admitting she has a family?
She must really be in a career crisis right now, and dragging her family into it shows me how very desperate she is. I cannot recall any top flight television personality who went down in flames this fast ever.
When she finally hits bottom, and she will, I feel for her husband and the kids. Narcissist that she is, she is going to be horrible to be around.
Me thinks sorta/kinda like Hillary . . . everything with these kinds of folks is choreographed and scripted. Nothing happens unless it is planned and acted out. Doubtless, these folks know how it really is "out here".
So what did Megyn do to deserve all the venom? She supported Ted Cruz; she asked Donald Trump a zinger in the debate she would have been remiss not to ask; and she´s pretty and glamorous and has a handsome husband and happy family. Jealous much?
I´m happy to see a conservative surviving in the wilds of the Alphabets and wish her the best. And the best is not a boring, warmed over 20-20 in a Sunday night time slot that assures no one will see it. The 9am Today Show doesn´t sound much better. Hopefully she will eventually get back to the political interviews that are her forte. But I did think this little camping caper was fun.
How processed can a brief promotional vacay in the woods be? A 35’ RV (the one we had years ago even had a little bathtub) and The Househusband is pitching a cute little tent for them to sleep in. Daughter is stylish but wrong in a little fluffy pink skirt and half leggings.
Barbie seems authentic compared with this aging bimbo.
I guess the fact that #17 is outnumbered here by about 26 to 1 indicates either purposeful and negative disagreement and adoration for that puke of a fraud or a troll that types similar to that of the NBC/Huffpo people...
O M G Barf Alert, says OP I completely agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey veteran outdoors types, let´s play what´s wrong with this picture: A. Big hoop earrings could get caught on a low-hanging branch and cause neck injury. B. Daughter´s attire likely to attract crazed wildlife unhappy with a synthetic experience. C. Hubby´s ´looks could kill´ embrace doesn´t bode well for sleeping under the stars. D. All of the above.
What kind of idiot goes out in the woods without a sidearm? All the adults should be carrying one. A bear would have been mighty convenient, but there are also plenty of human predators around these choreographed sites. Sure, they could cower in their RV and scream for 911 help. It might even work. But I wouldn´t bet my family´s life on it.
A chief of staff of Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke quietly agreed in early 2016 to sign away a $120,000 missing electronics problem on behalf of two former IT aides now suspected of stealing equipment from Congress, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. Clarke’s chief of staff at the time effectively dismissed the loss and prevented it from coming up in future audits by signing a form removing the missing equipment from a House-wide tracking system after one of the Awan brothers alerted the office the equipment was gone. The Pakistani-born brothers are now at the center of an FBI
Whatever. We’ve been through around eight iterations of “Republicans ready to dump Trump” since the primaries began last year. They didn’t do it at the convention, they didn’t do it after the “Access Hollywood” tape, they’re not going to do it over his Charlottesville spin, and they’re not going to do it for Mueller unless he finds something so foul as to leave Ryan no choice politically. (Snip) There must be a crime and right now there is no sign. “I hate to say it, but some of us would really like Mueller to find something we can use,” he
Out of this week’s orgy of self-righteousness has come toppled statues in the South, a vandalized Lincoln Memorial in the North, a Democratic state senator in the Midwest calling for the assassination of President Trump, and numerous other examples of “progressive” barbarism. It tells you everything you need to know about the rancid condition of “higher education” that the scenes of the greatest irrationality in America today take place in university towns. (Snip) Naturally, “conservatives” and members of the stupid party are joining the lynch mob instead of stopping it. By the way, what exactly do “conservatives” conserve anymore? It
Former White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon returned as Executive Chairman of Breitbart News Friday afternoon and chaired the company’s evening editorial meeting. (Snip) “The populist-nationalist movement got a lot stronger today,” said Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow. “Breitbart gained an executive chairman with his finger on the pulse of the Trump agenda.” Breitbart News CEO and President Larry Solov agreed. “Breitbart’s pace of global expansion will only accelerate with Steve back,” said Solov. “The sky’s the limit.” Bannon joined the Trump campaign on August 17, 2016 — nearly one year ago to the day of his return to
When Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey goes on trial on federal corruption charges in less than three weeks, far more than his own fate hinges on the outcome. If Mr. Menendez, a Democrat, is convicted and then expelled from the United States Senate by early January, his replacement would be picked by Gov. Chris Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey and an ally of President Trump. That scenario — where Mr. Menendez’s interim replacement would more than likely be a Republican — would have immediate and far-reaching implications: The Republicans would be gifted a crucial extra vote just
A House Democrat introduced a resolution on Friday suggesting that President Trump undergo a physical and mental health exam to help determine whether he is fit for office. Rep. Zoe Lofgren’s (D-Calif.) resolution specifically calls on Vice President Pence and Trump’s Cabinet members to “quickly secure the services of medical and psychiatric professionals” to “assist in their deliberations” invoking the 25th Amendment, which outlines presidential removal procedures. It posits that such an examination by doctors would “determine whether the president suffers from mental disorder or other injury that impairs his abilities and prevents him from discharging his Constitutional duties.
TURKU, Finland - A man with a knife killed two people and wounded at least six in a stabbing rampage in a market square in the Finnish city of Turku on Friday, police said. Police shot the suspected attacker in the leg and arrested him. They said they had yet to establish the identity of the man who appeared to be of foreign origin, or his motive. They warned people to stay away from the city and reinforced security nationwide, with increased patrols and more surveillance, in case more people were involved. People were allowed to return to the city
Sen. Tim Scott said Thursday that President Trump had lost "moral authority" in the aftermath of the weekend violence in Charlottesville, Va., according to a report. "I´m not going to defend the indefensible," the South Carolina Republican told Vice News, referring to the president´s comments about the deadly unrest at a Unite the Right rally held in the Virginia city Saturday. "[Trump´s] comments on Monday were strong. His comments on Tuesday started erasing the comments that were strong." (Snip) Scott, the only black Republican in the U.S. Senate, said "racism was real" and "alive" in America but that military and
Colin Kaepernick may not be employed by an NFL team, but he continues to be a fixture in the NFL’s 24-hour news cycle. The free-agent quarterback will have his own exhibit at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, according to the Twitter feed, @BlackToLive. (Snip) This comes on the heels of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture collecting Kaepernick’s jersey, which was worn during one of his national anthem protests, along with other clothing items to be displayed in an exhibit. Sociologist and author Harry Edwards encouraged the museum in its efforts to display something
RUSH: America is under attack from within. Our culture, our history, our founding are under the most direct assault I have seen in my life. And I’m sure it’s the same with you. We haven’t seen anything like this. You might even get away with saying that we are on the cusp of a second civil war. Some of you might say that we are already into it, that it has already begun. However you characterize it, though, we are under attack from within. And it’s being bought and paidI’m thinking of people like George Soros and any other number
SPOKANE, Wash. - A settlement has been reached in a landmark lawsuit that the American Civil Liberties Union brought against two psychologists involved in designing the CIA´s harsh interrogation program used in the war on terror. The deal announced Thursday marked the first time the CIA or its private contractors have been held accountable for the torture program, which began as a result of the attacks on Sept. 11, said professor Deborah Pearlstein of the Cardozo Law School in New York. "This sends a signal to those who might consider doing this in the future," Pearlstein said. "There are consequences
Pervy pol Anthony Weiner wants to reschedule his sentencing for texting an underage teen, a new court document indicates. The serial sexter pleaded guilty on May 19 to transmitting obscene material to a minor, and his sentencing was set for Sept. 8. In a letter Thursday, his lawyer asked Manhattan Federal Judge Denise Cote to reschedule sentencing to Oct. 6 so they have more time to review officials’ sentencing recommendations, and “fashion a sentencing recommendation that best addresses the need for continuing treatment.” Weiner’s long-suffering wife, Huma Abedin, a former top aide to Hillary Clinton, filed for divorce the same
Two members of the Kennedy family were arrested for disorderly conduct near the family’s famed compound on Cape Cod, according to police. Max Kennedy, the 52-year-old son of Robert F. Kennedy, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and a noise violation around 1 a.m. Sunday morning after reports of loud partying, Barnstable Police told the Boston Herald. His daughter Caroline, a 22-year-old California resident, was also arrested at a home a short walk from the main Kennedy compound. (Snip) The arrests come after a brush with the law for another of RFK’s grandchildren, Conor Kennedy, who
“There must always” be a flow low-skilled immigration to the United States, no matter its impact on American workers, according to Republican establishment figure Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ). Flake slammed the idea of potentially cutting legal immigration levels in half to raise the wages of American workers and end the current low-skilled oriented system to make only admit immigrants based on their skills and merit in a New York Times op-ed. Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA) introduced the specific plan, known as the “RAISE Act.” President Donald Trump endorsed the plan and said the legislation “will reduce poverty, increase
WASHINGTON – Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) said many federal employees are leaving the Environmental Protection Agency and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration over “fear” that the Trump administration is going to “suppress their viewpoints” or move them to irrelevant positions. Beyer, ranking member of the House Science, Space and Technology Subcommittee on Oversight, was asked if he would have full access to the “unfiltered” final version of the latest federal government report on climate change. The New York Times published a leaked draft of the report, which was submitted to the Trump administration for review. “The majority members of my committee may
Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal hoped for the assassination of President Trump in a Facebook comment on Thursday then deleted it in a panic. She even acknowledged she would get a visit from the Secret Service for her comment. (Photo) Maria Chappelle-Nadal’s Facebook comment was so egregious that even ABC News reported on the story. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports: Missouri state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, posted a comment in a Facebook conversation Thursday morning saying she hoped President Donald Trump will be assassinated. The comment was removed but Chappelle-Nadal confirmed to the Post-Dispatch that she had written it in
The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Sunday gave a strong endorsement to the movement for removing monuments to leaders of the Confederacy and called for the electoral college to be abolished. Speaking at the Islamic Center of Southern California, Jackson blamed the electoral college system, giving disproportionate influence to less populated states, for the 2000 and 2016 loss of Democratic presidential candidates Al Gore and Hillary Clinton despite their winning the popular vote. “Today we are looking at a structural problem,” Jackson said. “These monuments must go. Calling for the audience to repeat, he said, “Say the monuments and the flags
WASHINGTON — The Secret Service can no longer pay hundreds of agents it needs to carry out an expanded protective mission – in large part due to the sheer size of President Trump´s family and efforts necessary to secure their multiple residences up and down the East Coast. Secret Service Director Randolph "Tex´´ Alles, in an interview with USA TODAY, said more than 1,000 agents have already hit the federally mandated caps for salary and overtime allowances that were meant to last the entire year. The agency has faced a crushing workload since the height of the contentious election season, and it
Thanks to Monday´s solar eclipse, disastrous traffic jams have been taking over the country these last few days. And as folks leave the first coast-to-coast solar eclipse since 1918, the U.S. Department of Transportation estimated that nearly two-thirds of the nation´s resident live withing a day´s drive of the path of totality. And with Oregon being the first to see the eclipse, it and neighboring state Washington are experiencing the worst bouts of the traffic jams. ´This is the biggest transportation event that has ever hit Oregon,´ Dave Thompson, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation told AP. Ten sailors are missing and five have been reported injured after the USS John S McCain was involved in a collision with a merchant vessel on Monday morning, the Navy has said. The collision between the US guided-missile destroyer and merchant vessel Alnic MC was reported at 5.24am local time. The John McCain was underway east of Singapore and the Strait of Malacca, on its way to a routine port visit in Singapore. It is now sailing under its own power and heading to port, the Navy said. The crew is reportedly fighting flooding in two crew berthings and an area of the ship known as the 'shaft alley'.
A Texas college campus removed four statues of prominent Confederate figures in an overnight sweep, according to reports. The statues of Gen. Robert E. Lee, Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston, Confederate Postmaster General John H. Reagan and former Texas Gov. James Stephen Hogg were each taken down from the campus’ Main Mall in an operation beginning just before midnight and continuing through the early morning, KSAT 12 reported. “Last week, the horrific displays of hatred at the University of Virginia and in Charlottesville shocked and saddened the nation,” University of Texas President Greg Fenves said in a statement. “These events make
The eclipse that occurred over Chicago led thousands to the beaches and streets, where they gasped and cried out as the sun partially disappeared. For WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling, it was an especially awe-inspiring event. The famed meteorologist hugged and high-fived people around him and wept as the eclipse occurred Monday afternoon. "Oh, my word," Skilling said. "Wow. This is amazing. What do you think of this, this?" At another point, he told viewers, "I´ll get my act together, guys." His voice cracking, Skilling apologized for his tears. Skilling´s heartfelt reaction earned him praise from fans:
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are among a set of White House aides pushing President Trump to allow illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay, in an effort to get Democrats to fund the president´s border wall. McClatchy reported that the group of White House officials have suggested using so-called ´Dreamers´ as a bargaining chip, in order to check off some of the president´s campaign promises on immigration, including the wall, additional detention facilities, an E-verify system for employers and cuts to legal immigration. However, such a move would break another campaign promise, as candidate Donald Trump had pledged
As the face of CNN, Anderson Cooper makes a very good living as wealthy, privileged white man casting judgments of affiliation upon his political enemies. This includes taking a handful of idiotic white supremacists and declaring they represent millions of Republicans/conservatives, pro-America, Trump supporters, etc. And yet Mr. Cooper himself has a much closer affiliation to slavery than he likely wants his leftist viewers to know. As a descendant of the Vanderbilt family, one of the wealthiest “old money” families in American history, Cooper is a direct descendant of big time slave owners. Cooper’s great-great grandfather, Cornelius Vanderbilt, owned several plantations,
