If any doubts remained that the Fox News channel is continuing to swerve from its conservative roots, they were erased on July 16, 2017 when Ezekiel Emanuel, M.D., a principal architect of Obamacare and a barely hinged spin doctor for the Democrat socialist left, appeared on the channel’s signature weekly program Fox News Sunday in his new role as a paid contributor. During the program, the ever arrogant Emanuel jumped on the Resist Trump bandwagon and suggested that President Trump is worthy of being impeached. Hired last February primarily as a health policy analyst (he is a physician and professor,
Comments: What will Sean and the remaining few sane people do, now that the coup against Fox News is nearly complete?
Ever since they helped get Trump elected, they have seemed to veer further leftward especially their week-end news anchors. Almost all have been pushing this Russia narrative as much as the rest of the pressitutes. Rupert, if you want to keep FOX as a conservative station, you had better send your boys packing!
Well folks the democrat/socialist/communist left has won. We have seen Fox news take their sharp turn to the left recently with the signing on of all these left wing fanatics as "paid contributors" and it doesn´t take a rocket scientist to figure out what was happening. As Trump would tweet...SAD. No where to go now to get some semblance of fair news.
One other thing....watch the so called republicans take their usual month long "August break" now that they have managed to stop their effort to repeal Obamacare. I figured all along that they would figure out a way to not miss out on their "break" so that they could take their jaunts to London, Paris and other places of interest on "fact finding missions" at tax payer´s expense.
I watch one Fox News program a day, maybe two. I don´t turn to it for news. I have the Internet for that. The left knew it had to bring down Fox and they did that by going after the younger Murdochs. It is very troubling that the left understands the importance of controlling what the public hear more than the right. The news has now for the most part become propaganda for the left. It is truly fake news. Now with Fox turning to the dark side, there is nowhere to go but the internet. It is disturbing to witness the left´s destructive attack against everything traditional/conservative. They have completely embraced the Communist Manifesto.
As soon as I saw that Emanuel was on I turned it off. FOX still has programs worth watching but I am turning them off more often than I used to. There are several left leaning women I feel the same way about Once their faces pop up I am gone.
I followed the election closely and don´t believe it´s the case that Fox News helped Trump get elected. Nor would I describe Fox News as a conservative channel. Regarding Rupert Murdoch, he instructed his people to take Trump down, prefacing his instructions with something like ´enough is enough.´ All the money in the world is behind putting America Last.
I turn Fox on at 10pm and watch Hannity and then rerun of Tucker. The globalist Never Trump neocons (Steve Hayes, Jonah Goldberg, Charles Krauthammer, Ralph Peters, Chris Stirewalt, et al) are just as bad as the liberals: Smug and snarky and always wrong. I find myself watching YouTube via Roku and picking short clips from Fox, FBN, OAN, Crowder, White House, etc.
We are very disappointed in FOX... Bret, Britt, Jonah, and some others appear to have turned left to preserve their salaries. Sad for America. We pray for Trump´s strength and determination to save our free land for our descendants.
If they think this will improve their ratings, they are sadly mistaken. I cannot stand to watch Emanuel. All the new libs appearing are not helping to give a "balanced" debate, they are showcases people that can only yell louder and have no commonsense. Most shows are unwatchable anymore.
I find Im turning them off more and more. Bret and Brit ( if you follow him on Twitter you know he is still more GOP than not) are still good. Tucker is on the right side, but is too confrontational for my tastes. Martha´s show at 7 is probably the best one left of the evening lineup. I like her style.
Unfortunately, #17, there are a lot of us out here who do not have Direct TV to watch OANN. It´s the perfect time for someone with Deep Pockets to start up a new CONSERVATIVE station. FOX made Billions doing just that. They have lost their way and gone Liberal, but there are still a lot of Conservatives out here who would abandon FOX for a truly conservative station that can reach all of us!. We would make them Rich. The people who elected Trump are still the MAJORITY and we need somewhere to go. The Silent Majority will be there as well. OANN may be a great station, but they are not going to be the Savior for us Conservatives unless they can reach ALL of us!
I´m trying to hang in there with Hannity but I just see stars when he interrupts EVERYONE when they are talking. I have come to like Greg Gutfeld and his Tyrus but all the rest of them are not on my radar screen any more. Used to like Martha Mc. but no longer. I haven´t seen Dr. Emanuel yet, but Marie Harf and that black Richard somebody were enough to make me gone. Forgot to say I watch Judge Jeanine also.
#17, #20, #21 et al: I was an early subscriber to OANN when it became available on Roku. Like you, I seek a conservative alternative network. Unfortunately, OANN, NewsmaxTV, Breitbart, Blaze, and CRTV are each "almost, but not quite there". Each has its strengths and shortcomings.
It´s all about resources ($$$). To compete with more Established/Establishment networks, these alternatives need a team of seasoned investigative reporters, a network of bureaus and studios (Skype doesn´t cut it), attractive newsreaders, and slick production capability to yield the "eye candy with gravitas" that Roger Ailes had delivered at Fox News. Now that Mr. Ailes and his product are no longer with us, there is a vacuum to be filled.
Time for conservative alternates to swallow their egos, pool their resources, and git ´er done.
Howard Beale where are you? Turned it off years ago. Back then, anyhow, it was ridiculous to get the news in sound bites. It gave them control over us, like the VN war. Father Cronkite bragged about how he turned the American people against the war - leaving a hell of a lot of us in a very bad situation. They twist it any way they want it. Until PT it just seemed like the American people didn´t want the truth. Half of them still don´t. The proof is in accepting homosexual marriages, men wanting to be women and women wanting to be men, etc.
In the days since violent clashes at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville culminated in a neo-Nazi sympathizer driving his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, journalists have mainstreamed the self-described “anti-fascists” (or “antifa”) at the rally — largely ignoring their involvement in the escalating political violence in this country. Many establishment political figures insisted the far-left actors were just like American soldiers on D-Day. But these “anti-fascists´” own statements show they’re nothing like American soldiers on D-Day. They aren’t interested in protecting America’s system of government, according to their own statements — they’re interested in destroying it. From the very start of
America beat the Nazis. Then America beat the Commies. Now some self-styled Nazis are fighting some self-styled Commies on American soil, and our veterans have been drafted without their knowledge or consent. The Greatest Generation are now Communists, whether they like it or not. Ladies and gentlemen: Our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media will congratulate themselves now. It’s weird how all these guys had the same idea at the same time, huh? I think this pretty much confirms the existence of JournoList 2.0. My grandfather was a career Navy man. He stood up to the Nazis, and
Marty Baron lives in a $1.7 million condo in Logan Circle. It’s seven blocks away from the headquarters of the Washington Post. And a 12 minute drive away from the FBI’s J Edgar Hoover Building. Arrest him. His paper’s latest contribution to wrecking this country is an editorial titled "Charlottesville showed that liberalism can´t defeat white supremacy. Only direct action can." It concludes with, “Start throwing rocks." "Resistance, be it forceful or clandestine, threatened or explicit, stands as our ´rock.´ Rocks can look like armed self-defense or nonviolent direct-action campaigns," N.D. B. Connolly, a history professor at Johns Hopkins who
Hundreds of pro-Trump demonstrators and anti-Trump counter-protesters converged at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle on Sunday, resulting in several arrests and the confiscation of weapons. The rally, organized by the conservative group Patriot Prayer, came one day after violent clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left three people dead and dozens injured. Counter-protesters -- including antifa, Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), Veterans for Peace, Indivisible Seattle, Black Lives Matter, and the Freedom Socialist Party -- marched "in solidarity against hate," specifically against what they called “the bigotry, racism and violence" of the "far-right" organizers. Solidarity Against Hate counter-protesters waved communist flags,
President Trump is still facing a torrent of criticism for his responses to the Charlottesville violence. After calling out the hatred and violence from “many sides” on Saturday, Trump finally did what the media demanded and condemned white nationalists and other hate groups by name. Yet, that wasn’t good enough for the chattering class, and the new denunciation is not winning the president any goodwill. While it’s certainly true the president could have articulated a better message over the weekend, his administration is taking a very hard line on the Charlottesville violence. The Department of Justice is launching a civil
Don´t tell anybody, but I´m actually beginning to love Trump. Not physically, natch, but as our funniest and most truthful president since Calvin Coolidge. Normal Americans have watched our politics turn to mud for a quarter century, since Bill Clinton, the Arkansas corruptocrat. We´ve watched it and watched it while the media turned into a copycat Soviet propaganda ministry, and now, finally, somebody is acting like an adult and talking without having to explain every single word. We know the State Department has been Foggy Bottom for decades, a place where Harvard grads go to rusticate -- effectively, to die as real
In Dallas, a black nationalist activist shot and killed 5 police officers at a Black Lives Matter anti-police rally. Instead of condemning BLM, Barack Obama defended a racist hate group whose role model is Assata Shakur, a wanted black nationalist cop killer, at the funerals of the murdered officers. The left killed civil rights and replaced it with black nationalism. The racial supremacism of black nationalism that killed those officers is everywhere. Ta-Nehisi Coates and Ibram X. Kendi are lionized as brilliant thinkers instead of hateful racists, Amazon has ordered a black nationalist secessionist fantasy from Aaron McGruder and Showtime aired
Allum Bokhari: You are one of a number of current and former Google employees speaking out in the wake of the Viewpoint Diversity Memo. Is there anything particular that makes you support the principles in that document? Emmett: I’m happy you asked. I’m also happy you’re giving the document a more accurate name, as the mainstream media has almost universally been calling it the “Anti-Diversity Memo” which is both stupid and a lie. The fundamental starting point of the document is that there exist documented differences between men and women, which we see hash out in real life. That is
How many AT readers have found that they can no longer do a useful Google search on any news topic? The only hits that come up are liberal. Even the Wall Street Journal does not make it, although minor liberal papers like the Christian Science Monitor do. To find interesting commentary and reporting I trust, I have to go to my list of favorite websites and search on their pages. Following the firing this week of a valued employee for the thoughtcrime of questioning gender quotas, Breitbart is running a series called "Rebels of Google." Whistleblower employees are exposing the purposeful
One of the unspoken ´indications´ in the medical sense of the ever-metastasizing Trump Derangement Syndrome is that the sufferers have a deep conscious/unconscious fear that Trump is right. What if the man they have excoriated unremittingly as a barbarian-racist-xenophobe-homophobe -misogynist-nitwit turns out to have been on the correct side of a fair number of issues on which they have failed, sometimes miserably, for decades? Talk about personality disintegration — it would be hari-kari meets the Wicked Witch of the West. Well, emotionally anyway. The current North Korea crisis is a perfect case in point. Susan Rice — has this woman no
What do Google, Evergreen State College, and Middlebury have in common? A lot, apparently. They´re filled with "snowflakes" -- those students (in Google´s case, employees) who have such a high sensitivity to -- or is it inability to tolerate -- diversity of thought, they dissolve like so many, well, snowflakes. (Unlike real snowflakes, however, that are different one from the other, these snowflakes tend to be monotonously the same, spewing the same slogans and even wearing, basically, the same clothes.) People are beginning to get fed up with this jejune politically correct censorship and, just as with the University of Missouri before
Last night I wrote about the fact that the Associated Press has done little or no actual reporting on the North Korea crisis, but rather has used the episode as another excuse to bash President Trump–foolishly, in this case. Earlier this evening I was on the Seth and Chris show in Phoenix, talking about the AP’s absurd coverage of Trump and Kim Jong Un. Michael Ramirez’s most recent cartoon picks up on the theme of my post with Ramirez’s usual flair. Click to enlarge: Most of the liberal press has little interest in Kim Jong Un or the prospect of
Evidence is turning up from, of all places, the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well as Breitbart and others, that this character, Jason Kessler, who organized the suspicious and supposed Alt-Right demonstration in Charlottesville, Va. that blew up in everyone´s face, is a cunning lefty holdover from the Occupy Wall Street movement and a former Barack Obama supporter. I smell Soros money, sabotage, and Democrat dirty tricks here. I´ve been suspicious of the nature of the violence at this supposed Alt-Right demonstration since the news first began breaking. It is no secret that radical elements in the Democrat left have
A crowd of ignorant protesters pulled down a bronze Confederate statue that stood before a county government building in Durham, North Carolina — the angry national backlash to the Charlottesville brouhaha over the Robert E. Lee monument. This is not how civil societies operate. And yet this is what the left has brought, and now cheers. What’s next — burning books with offensive content? Burning books written by those who used to own slaves? At the very least, museums will have to go. The problem with revising history based on a standard of “feeling offensive” — as this anti-Confederate craze is rooted — is that someone,
President Trump should have left well enough alone. His Monday denunciation of costumed sheet-wearers and Nazi wanna-bes could have cleared the way for Americans of all stripes to focus their outrage on things that matter more than presidential words. That would be the violence that is infecting our politics and the frightening acceptance of it as the new normal. But Trump’s defiance yesterday is sure to keep the media pot boiling over his rhetoric instead of an ominous reality. Namely, that real protestors don’t carry baseball bats, crowbars and mace. Yet Saturday’s bloody clash in Charlottesville showed that many on
Former presidential candidate and current Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich may be moving closer to mounting a primary challenge against President Trump in the 2020 election. Sources close to Kasich told Willie Geist of the "Today Show" there is growing a sense of "moral imperative" to run against Trump for the Republican nomination in 2020 following his controversial statements on the deadly protest in Charlottesville, Va. (Tweet) Kasich has long been critical of Trump. On Tuesday, Kasich criticized Trump´s Charlottesville comments, saying "there is no moral equivalency to Nazi sympathizers" following Trump´s tumultuous press conference. Kasich, who lost to Trump
CNN host Wolf Blitzer said Thursday there would be questions if the Barcelona terror attack involving a van crashing into a group of people was a "copycat" of what happened in Charlottesville, Va. At least 13 people were killed and more than 50 were injured in Barcelona on Thursday when men rammed their van into a crowd of pedestrians at Las Ramblas, a popular tourism area in the city in northeastern Spain. The attack came five days after a man with white supremacist group ties was arrested for driving his car into a group of counter-protesters in Charlottesville, killing one
Trump ignited a political firestorm yesterday during an impromptu press conference in which he said there was "blame on both sides" for the tragic events that occurred in Charlottesville over the weekend. Now, the discovery of a craigslist ad posted last Monday, almost a full week before the Charlottesville protests, is raising new questions over whether paid protesters were sourced by a Los Angeles based "public relations firm specializing in innovative events" to serve as agitators in counterprotests. The ad was posted by a company called "Crowds on Demand" and offered $25 per hour to "actors and photographers"
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has weighed in on the weekend´s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, castigating Donald Trump without naming him. ´We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis,´ McConnell said in a statement. The choice of words, while careful, appeared to push back against Trump´s claim on Tuesday that some ´very fine people´ were among a crowd of white supremacists who rallied in the college town. McConnell´s wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, stood next to Trump on Tuesday as he insisted both sides of the weekend´s clash bore some responsibility for
Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina warned President Trump on Wednesday that his “words are dividing Americans, not healing them” in the wake of the bloody clashes in Virginia that has sparked a national conversation about white supremacists and race. Mr. Graham also vowed that Republicans will “fight back against the idea that the party of Lincoln has a welcome mat out for the David Dukes of the world.” “Through his statements yesterday, President Trump took a step backward by again suggesting there is moral equivalency between the white supremacist neo-Nazis and KKK members who attended the Charlottesville rally and people like
As James Bond’s nemesis Auric Goldfinger famously observed, “Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence. The third time is enemy action.” On Tuesday evening, three prominent Republicans — Senator John McCain, Senator Marco Rubio, and 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney — endorsed the left-wing media’s preferred narrative and embraced the masked thugs of Antifa as heroes. McCain and Romney used almost identical language, bending their knees to the media narrative that only two factions were present in Charlottesville during the awful events of last weekend: white supremacist Nazis and “Americans standing up to defy hate and bigotry.”
In the midst of the maelstrom of breaking news of the past several days, the outlines of a big story affecting the future of the Fox News Channel are beginning to emerge. They involve a major makeover of Fox News´s ailing prime-time schedule and a rising new star, Eboni K. Williams. After the dust settles, Williams, whose current show, The Fox News Specialists, looks as though it´s headed for oblivion after the coming shake-up, may wind up on the fast track to cable news stardom. On Monday, August 14, Matt Drudge let the cat out of the bag, as he occasionally
NEW YORK- They wash their hands of neo-Nazis and wag their fingers at leftists. They denounce a press corps they see as biased and controversies they view as manufactured. But in the frenzied blame game over the deadly violence at a rally of white supremacists, Donald Trump´s loyal base is happy to absolve the president himself. Even as Trump´s zig-zag response to the weekend bloodshed in Charlottesville, Virginia, has brought criticism from some Republican lawmakers, many men and women who helped put him in office remain unmoved by the latest uproar. "He has done nothing to turn me away from
The Presidency: President Trump´s statements regarding the tragic events in Charlottesville have created a firestorm that, even by the unique Trump-era standards, appears unprecedented. Unless Trump can undo the damage, it could cripple his administration. In his presidential memoir, "Decision Points," President George W. Bush wrote about the fallout from 2015´s Hurricane Katrina and his own mishandling of the situation. In particular, he admitted that a photo taken of him flying over New Orleans was a huge mistake. "That photo of me hovering over the damage suggested I was detached from the suffering on the ground. That was not how
