Susan Rice Abruptly Backs Out of
Tuesday Testimony Before House Panel

Gateway Pundit, by Christina Laila

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 7/17/2017 6:45:28 PM

Susan Rice will no longer be appearing in front of the House committee on Tuesday to answer questions about her unmasking of Trump and his private associates. Rice was expected to give a testimony to the House committee probing her unmasking scandal. It has apparently been postponed. (Snip) As TGP previously reported, independent journalist, Mike Cernovich broke the Susan Rice unmasking story in early April. Cernovich reported via Medium: The White House Counsel’s office identified Rice as the person responsible for the unmasking after examining Rice’s document log requests. The reports Rice requested to see are kept under tightly-controlled conditions.

Why bail? She can and would lie through her teeth, have her lies exposed, and still skate like all the rest of them. After all, the gutless Republicans certainly don´t want to come off as (the dreaded "R"-word).

Don´t you just love these fierce Republican hearings?

Appearances are voluntary.
You can say "I don´t recall" as much as you want.
You can plead the 5th.
If you lie (like Clapper), it´s no big deal.
If you destroy evidence (like Lerner), no consequences at all, and you keep your big pension.
Nice gig.

Somebody tell Trump Jr. to take note. Oh wait...you say that´s different?

Standard playbook: Loudly broadcast that you´ll be pleased to testify, then postpone, postpone, postpone. Hope the public remembers the first, and misses the rest.

She must be scared her testimony will be leaked, which would be poetic justice.

We knew it was over when Samuel Berger received a slap on the wrist from a Republican administration after he was caught red handed stealing documents from the National Archives. He also shredded the documents. To quote the odious John Edwards, there are two Americas. One for the elites. The other for the little people.

It was reported on FNC this morning that she is still scheduled to testify this week. It will be behind closed doors, and some outraged that congress is giving her that opportunity. Also, she is being "invited" not subpoenaed, but will be under oath.

Nunes must have caved to get her in under these circumstances. One can only hope the Trump people having to testify learn from the Dims how this is done.

#26, but isn´t there such a thing as limited immunity?

The idea would be to give Rice partial immunity in some areas, thereby forcing her to give answers under oath (i.e., she couldn´t plead the 5th on everything).

Perhaps just getting some answers from Rice, while she is under oath, would give investigators some leverage?

TV Ratings: Emmy Telecast
on Track for Another Low
Hollywood Reporter, by Michael O´Connell    Original Article

The Emmys are becoming a tougher sell for viewers. For another year, initial ratings for the TV awards are down — this time slipping to an all-time low. Adjustments could put the total audience ahead of the previous year´s low, but the 8.2 overnight rating among metered market households is down another 2 percent from the previous year. That means that the final tally for the 2017 Emmys, hosted by Stephen Colbert on CBS, is on track to slip below the 11.3 million viewers (and a mere 2.8 rating among adults 18-49) that tuned in during 2016. Overnight ratings are naturally below those of NBC's Sunday Night Football,

While promoting her newly released memoir, Hillary Clinton has placed blame on several factors for her loss to Donald Trump last November — from her own mistakes, to Russian interference in the U.S. election, and the late intervention by then-FBI director James Comey. But Clinton has also spoken candidly about how deep-rooted sexism played a hand in her defeat, and about the double standards she faced as the first woman nominated by a major party for president in America’s 240-year history. In an interview with the New York Times published Saturday, Clinton spoke further about how misogyny is used as

The Big Idea: If I had to stock Hillary Clinton’s new memoir in a bookstore, I’d be tempted to place it in a section on self-help or bereavement. “What Happened” was quickly strip-mined for political nuggets after its publication last Tuesday. As I went through it over the weekend, though, what struck me most was how the wounded Democrat coped after her crushing defeat last November. In short, Clinton has read voraciously and eclectically — for escape, for solace and for answers. The collection of works that she cites across 494 pages showcases a top-flight intellect and would make for a compelling graduate school seminar.

A woman police believe was pregnant was among five people killed and 13 wounded in Chicago shootings Friday into Saturday morning. The woman was one of four victims slain in a rifle attack in the Brighton Park neighborhood Friday night, police said. The quadruple homicide happened about 8:40 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Fairfield Avenue, police said. Three men and a woman were inside a vehicle when someone inside a white SUV opened fire on them with a rifle, police said. Responding police officers found their bodies inside the vehicle and they were pronounced dead on the scene. The

The silent coup has apparently succeeded. President Trump has been convinced to abandon his revolutionary program of putting “America First,” and has decided to play footsy with globalists like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. There have been signs since before Trump took office that he was not dedicated to accomplishing the goals he promised—whether that was building the wall, repealing Obamacare, cutting off funding for Planned Parenthood, lowering taxes, leaving NAFTA, or many more.[SNIP]The final nail in Trump’s and America’s coffin may be his decision to become the stepfather to President Obama’s illegal executive order establishing Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals.

People who claim to be shocked that Donald Trump is prepared to make an amnesty deal for the"Dreamers" -- most of whom are Mexicans who entered the USA at around the age of six -- are being more than a tad disingenuous. The president has been hinting as much for over a year to anyone paying attention. In fact, it´s hard to conceive how he could have done otherwise, considering the (excuse the cliché) "optics" of shipping 800,000 young people back to a homeland they may never have seen. The question is what your definition of amnesty is. It´s a

Yes, you read the headline correctly. In the latest example of identity politics taken to its absurd end, three Australian college professors believe that "Playful urination practices – from seeing how high you can pee to games such as Peeball (where men compete using their urine to destroy a ball placed in a urinal) – may give boys an advantage over girls when it comes to physics." The three professors didn´t publish their thoughts on a satirical website like The Onion. Instead, they published on Tes, a website that provides "Educational materials, jobs, news, and courses from the world´s best community

Hillary Clinton rejects the idea that a June 2016 meeting between her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch critically damaged her White House bid. “I just don’t buy that,” Clinton said in a PBS interview aired Friday evening to promote her new book, “What Happened,” about her loss last year to Donald Trump. As Clinton has in several other, recent interviews promoting the book, she heaped much of the blame on then-FBI Director James Comey. Comey led the Justice Department investigation into Clinton’s use of private email servers as secretary of state, after Lynch stepped back

Mike Huckabee warned that many Republicans in Congress, far from trying to further President Trump´s agenda are actually afraid he will succeed and "drain the swamp." "I´m really more and more convinced that there are a lot of the Republicans in Washington who aren´t afraid that Donald Trump will fail. They´re afraid he will succeed and that he really will drain the swamp," the former 2016 presidential candidate told "Fox & Friends" on Saturday. "The Republicans are the ones who are stonewalling everything he´s trying to get done in Congress right now," the former Arkansas governor pointed out. Huckabee pointed
