Fox News Channel anchor Shepard Smith on Friday assailed the ´mind-boggling deception´ by the Trump administration in explaining its role in the ongoing Russia investigation. In a segment with his network colleague Chris Wallace, Smith was offering commentary about the latest revelations in the unfolding scandal. He did not hold back when he spoke about the revelations that President Donald Trump´s son, Donald Trump Jr, failed to disclose the fact that there were more participants in his June 2016 meeting with a Russian attorney who promised dirt on Hillary Clinton. Rinat Akhmetshin, a Russian-American dual national and former Soviet spy
Comments: Again I was working in the kitchen and had not changed the channel from FNC when that flaming maniac Shemp came on. He is totally unhinged and is no longer hiding the fact that he hates Trump. His sneering and open contempt for Trump and everyone around him is appalling. I sure don´t remember him so aghast over the lawless, criminal acts of Obama or Clinton.
Contd. Obviously missing from his reportage is any mention of the fact that Obama, Loretta Lynch, Susan Rice, the Democrats, Clinton and Fusion GPS are intricately involved in this sordid mess. He is allegedly supposed to report the news.
Until he is designated as a commentator like Sean Hannity he needs to shut up and report the facts. I can´t stand that despicable little crapweasel. Roger Ailes, who he supposedly was so very fond of, must be spinning in his grave over his reprehensible behavior. The Murdoch sons must be beaming with joy.
And this is why I no longer watch any television news channel. Information on the web is quicker and less tainted by these so-called journalists. Fox News, I am so done with you. You´re no different than CNN, MSNBC, or any one else.
Shep comes on, the channel changes. I will not watch the piece of garbage, the same as I will not watch MSNBC, CBS, NBC, PBS, ABC.
There is absolutely no point in intentionally listening to Pravda spew lies, and I will not subject myself to it. I despise Shep, and have since his incompetent, foolish, stupid reporting stint at Katrina. Before that he was barely tolerable. He is totally intolerable now.
The evening program that has Meghan McCain as a cohost .... The talk was about all the stuff going on with fusiongps, etc but no one was brave or smart enough to bring the John McCain facts up while Meghan was sitting there which did not sit well with me at all. It looked like they were covering and protecting her. I was especially surprised at Kimberly who usually doesn´t shy away from any topic. So that bunch has me wondering but I don´t wonder about Shamp at all!!!!
I don´t watch this POS at all. I may see a few seconds when I turn my TV on because Fox is my default setting. I gave up on him during Katrina when he acted like the whiny leftwing loon he is by berating a female reporter from another outlet because she had taken his "parking spot". Typical snowflake. Why is he still seen on Fox?
Hey Shemp, take some time off. You used to be at the top of your craft but something happened along the way. It´s Gay Pride Week in San Diego right now. Go do your thing and think about things that are really important. Politics is not your thing. Maybe your buddy Joe The Moaning Schmoe might be there in disguise if he can get away from his ball and chain for a few days. But it´s time to take a break and rethink things. Hatred and resentments are the poison you are taking hoping they die.
If I happen to be on cable news, usually the wife turns it on and this guy appears, the channel is changed in one nano second. I vote with the remote. Why does this guy remind me of the moving and talking wall mounted bass as seen on TV? (Sorry, not sorry for the ad-hominem.)
Well, he sure found a like minded friend in Wallace . They both hate Trump . He should have included Stywalt in their conversation, he´s also a Trump hater. Shep knows Fox will protect him no matter what he says or does. Megyn McCain should be fired she´s a conflict of interest.
some years ago Roger Ailes made Shemp Managing Editor and Director of the Breaking News Division at FNC. That came along with the fancy schmancy news deck. At that point we also began to see a marked difference in Shemp´s attitude and delivery.
And now we barely ever watch FNC any more. some of the early a.m. programming, occasionally Outnumbered. Little else unless there´s BIG NEWS HAPPENING SOMEWHERE!!!!!!
Then we´ll turn off HGTV or DIY and turn on news. Otherwise, meh...
I can not stand to listen to Shepard Smith who the the afternoon version of Morning Joe. I´ve completely shut of Fox and only listen to Hannity. Shepard has proven himself to be a bald face liar many times.....shame on Fox for keeping him.
S. Smith is not presenting news and should be classified as a editorialist by his channel. He is offering either his opinion or the opinion of management who he works for; either way, there is a biased agenda and there are few facts presented. An opinion offered as news is FAKE NEWS.
Shepard (far left) comes on at 12pm Pacific and so does Liz Clayman (left) on FN Business. He should be on MSNBC and she should be on CNBC.
It should be straight news during the day and not left wing opinion. I used to try and turn on FNC while I ate my lunch. It was Shepard that began the hideous Rock ´n Roll News. Rock music playing while he "supposedly" read the news. I hated it.
Fox has decided they are giving up on a "Fair and Balanced" approach. I guess, like the RINOs, they´re looking for a new base. Fine. That was a corporate decision and it worked, I can say they´ve lost me. Fox used to be the one port in the storm. Aside from Bret Baier and a couple others, we are now left with far, far left, far left and left slants as choices for cable news. The opinion shows are different and some are entertaining.
I now get my news on the internet and haven´t looked back since. Also, I don´t have to listen to leftists read it to me.
So many ´journolists´ are going to have egg all over their faces over this deception which is clearly overblown to keep our minds off the corruption of Hitlery Clinton, hoping we will all just forget about the whole rigged game.
Using her office to do business for Clinton, Ind. Influence peddling from mooooslim countries who kill homosexuals while trying to defend it here in the US. Allowing young women and girls to be sold into sexual slavery while purportedly STANDING UP for women?
If that isn´t incongruous with taking tainted, dirty money I don´t know what is.
In the past 12 months I have met easily 1,000 people, exchanged thousands of emails, attended more that 150 meetings lasting at least one hour each, given more than six dozen speeches before audiences of up to 500, held a translated press conference in a foreign country attended by television, radio and print outlets, given media interviews at home and have made and received countless phone calls. That is a lot of detail to remember, and I do not claim to recall it all. But if my senior staff and I had had a meeting with two people and a Russian interpreter pushing purportedly scandalous intel, I would remember it pretty clearly.
#3 I just don´t watch the news anymore at all. Fox became unwatchable and I cut off the msm, or lsm if you will, long ago. The internet is where my news comes from. I´ll read articles posted with a grain of salt.
And this is why I always skip the 3-4 p.m. Shep News on Fox during the week---the man can´t restrain himself (although he peppers his "straight news" with little slings and arrows, nothing like his blast with Wallace.) The man has no idea what "mind boggling deception" is, obviously. E.G. Lynch on the tarmac, Rice on 4 networks re: Benghazi, Bill not having relations with that women, Miss Lewinsky. None of that bothered ole Shep. I figure Murdoch kept Smith on to retain the fair and balanced mantle......but I don´t have to watch him. I watch Cavuto right afterward. Now THERE is fair and balanced.
Not fair---or helpful-----to comment on Shep´s predilections (and when I said STRAIGHT news I meant straight, not Shep) as that gets us nowhere. I just can´t stand his snide inserts re "straight" news, and to be honest, I haven´t watched Fox News Sunday in years either.........no matter how much soup Mrs. Douglas pushes, her husband too often shows his true face on camera when he thinks nobody is looking---and I don´t want to bother with that. The Murdoch boys, and their strong wives, are making their mark AND DON´T SEEM TO KNOW THEY CAN BE REPLACED. Thank God for Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Cavuto and Martha at 7 p.m. or I would be outta there. Also Outnumbered.
Wallace is actually as bad as Shep, he just has a bit more dignity when he bad mouths the Republicans. Does anyone remember a time when Shep worked in FL and there was something about him being in trouble when he hit someone with his car? I´m not sure I´m remembering that correctly.
Princeton is apparently so concerned that its male students could be rapists that it is looking to hire an ´interpersonal violence clinician and men´s engagement manager´ to solve the problem. The New Jersey university´s job listing calls for experts in women´s and gender studies, social work or similar fields to ´foster an environment for healthy male social development.´ That will come by ´challenging belief systems and social constructs that contribute to violence and offering alternative options,´ the listing says. The implication throughout the posting, first made in May, is that men are abusers and women victims, right-wing college paper The
Evergreen State College may soon face a $3.8-million lawsuit in connection with its handling of the the 2017 “Day of Absence” protests against biology professor Bret Weinstein. Students at the Olympia, Washington institution who wanted a day without white people on Evergreen State College’s campus in May went wild over Mr. Weinstein’s refusal to take part. The fracas that followed resulted in a $3.8-million tort claim filed July 5, with details provided exclusively to the education watchdog Campus Reform on Tuesday. “[Evergreen] failed to set and enforce necessary boundaries in the workplace on campus, selectively has chosen not to enforce
A man who lived for eight years as a transgender female says President Donald Trump did the right thing for the U.S. military, as well as for all Americans, by banning transgenders from serving in the military. Walt Heyer, who has transitioned back to his birth gender, writes in a commentary that his personal experience leads him to support Trump’s announcement: “I think he made the right decision—and as someone who lived as trans-female for several years, I should know.” Heyer says allowing transgenders to serve is “devastating…to the fitness, readiness, and moral of our combat read troops.” “The military
Democratic senators reintroduced legislation Wednesday to fight global warming by taxing carbon dioxide emissions, in the hopes that some climate-fearing Republicans will offer support. Democratic Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island and Brian Schatz of Hawaii announced new carbon tax legislation at an American Enterprise Institute (AEI) event as part of a broader effort to get conservatives on board with taxing emissions. Most Republicans oppose carbon taxes, but a few have joined the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus to find “economically-viable options” to global warming. To most Republicans, the Whitehouse-Schatz bill is a $2 trillion tax and wealth redistribution scheme. Climate Caucu
More than 905,000 illegal immigrants have a California driver’s license at this point, and that number could rise to more than a million by January of 2018. By the end of June 2017, more than 900,000 drivers have been registered under California Assembly Bill 60, which requires only proof of identity and residency, not immigration status, in order to receive a license to drive a car. After passage in 2013 because of 15 years of lobbying by liberal pro-immigration groups, the bill was meant to “intended to bolster public safety and reduce penalties for undocumented immigrants who drive,” according to
The Senate voted Wednesday afternoon against a proposal that would repeal major portions of Obamacare without a replacement legislation. Senators voted 55-45 against the measure in a procedural vote Wednesday, which likely signals that a full, clean repeal that conservatives are pushing for could not pass the legislative body. Seven Republicans voted against the measure, including: Sens. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Dean Heller of Nevada, John McCain of Arizona, Rob Portman of Ohio, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. Senators voted against a proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare Tuesday evening,
Combat veteran J.R. Salzman said Wednesday morning in the wake of President Donald Trump’s military transgender ban that a war theater is no place for the gender confused. (Snip) Everyday was Groundhog Day,” Salzman tweeted. “Wake up and do the same patrols, the same shifts, every single day. It was so damn hot. 150° in the gun trucks.” “The stress of being out there and doing the same job every single day eats away at you,” Salzman said. “The younger guys had problems with that overtime.” “After stepping on each other’s nuts living in the same can for five months,
President Donald Trump said Tuesday night that he is working with two Republican senators to implement a merit-based immigration system. (Snip) Senators Cotton and Perdue have introduced the RAISE Act, which is a bill that makes great strides toward ending chain-migration. Under current law, U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents (green card holders) can sponsor their siblings, parents, and married adult children for visas. The RAISE Act would only allow children under the age of 18 and spouses to be sponsored. It would also end the diversity visa lottery, which benefits 50,000 immigrants a year from countries that have low
The attorney for a prominent Democratic congressional employee at the center of a major criminal investigation has deep ties to the Clinton machine in Washington. Attorney Chris Gowen is serving as the lawyer for Imran Awan, a Pakistani-American IT professional who was apprehended at Dulles Airport this week as he reportedly attempted to leave the country for Pakistan. (Snip) After Awan’s arrest, Gowen immediately jumped into the fray, alleging that Awan was a victim of Islamophobia. He labeled Awan’s arrest as part of “a right-wing media-driven prosecution by a United States Attorney’s Office that wants to prosecute people for working
Senate Democrats used a parliamentary maneuver Wednesday to cut short a high-profile hearing, where a key witness was set to testify on Russia´s misdeeds and also raise fresh allegations against the company behind the infamous anti-Trump dossier. Bill Browder, the CEO and co-founder of Hermitage Capital, was set to tell the Senate Judiciary Committee that the co-founder of the firm Fusion GPS was hired to conduct a "smear campaign" against him. (Snip) Browder released written testimony ahead of the hearing but his public remarks were delayed when Democrats invoked the "two-hour rule" to protest Republican efforts to repeal ObamaCare. The
Major cable news networks have given no coverage to the burgeoning scandal involving IT staffers to former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis. Reporting by the Daily Caller News Foundation has revealed that Wasserman Schultz´s top information technology staffer Iman Awan was arrested Monday after trying to flee the country amidst investigations into Awan concerning banking fraud and a criminal cybersecurity probe. Awan wired over $280,000 to Pakistan after the FBI recently recovered multiple smashed hard drives from Awan´s home. Despite being blocked from the House computer network since February amid allegations of "committing serious, potentially
President Trump tweeted on Wednesday that “transgender individuals” should not be allowed to serve in “any capacity” in the US military. After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow? …,” he wrote on Twitter. Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming.?”? He finished up by writing: “victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.” That’s a significant change in the stance
New research shows that ancient humans had sex with non human species. According to a study conducted by Omer Gokcumen, an assistant professor of biological sciences at the University of Buffalo, ancient humans had intercourse with a "ghost species" of "proto human". Gokcumen explains that humans are only one member of a broader species named "hominins". The research found that humans had sex with other members of the hominins group.
President Trump and his advisers are floating possible replacements for Attorney General Jeff Sessions — and the list includes Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), The Washington Post reports.Cruz and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) are reportedly among the candidates Trump’s team is considering to replace Sessions, though Giuliani said earlier in the day that he´s not being considered. Trump has repeatedly said that he is disappointed by Sessions’s decision to recuse himself from the probe into ties between the Trump administration and Russia, saying in an interview last week that he would have never hired Sessions if he knew
When President Trump made his initial remarks reflecting disappointment in Attorney General Jeff Sessions it was initially unnerving. The subsequent fallout from the public criticism has united the NeverTrump crowd, Cruzbots and professionally GOPe, to defend the honor of the much beloved former Senator. The opportunity to bash Trump is simply an ancillary benefit. Conversely, the MAGA community has largely portrayed the rift as if the Presidential critique was part of a larger strategy between the President and Attorney General. If we wait long enough some mysterious master plan will eventually to be discovered. However, the subsequent POTUS tweets and comments do
Former House Speaker John Boehner said at an event in Las Vegas last week that he used to “sneak into” the White House to see President Barack Obama to avoid scrutiny from the “right-wing press,” according to a report by the Washington Post, which obtained a videotape of Boehner’s remarks. Boehner also lamented the fact that Americans now have too many choices of where to go for news and information. “What’s making everything even worse today is because we have so much news, people get to choose where they get their news,” Boehner said, according to the Post. “It used
At the end of a Senate subcommittee hearing on Tuesday morning, someone sitting near Chairman Susan Collins (R-Maine) didn’t switch off a microphone. Collins was recorded discussing the federal budget and President Trump’s lack of familiarity with the details of governing with a colleague — apparently Sen. Jack Reed (R.I.), the ranking Democrat on the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies subcommittee.
BALTIMORE - African American activists have a message for Democrats: If you want to win back the White House, strongly consider a black person on the ticket. On their list are a growing roster of black politicians, notably Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J. and Kamala Harris, D-Calif., former Attorney General Eric Holder and Deval Patrick, former governor of Massachusetts. Turnout among African Americans in the 2016 presidential election was the smallest in 20 years. It’s a big concern as the NAACP holds its annual convention this week in Baltimore, its first major gathering since the election. Hilary Shelton, head of the NAACP’s
The moderator lauded Michelle Obama for her achievements over the past eight years and touched on the former first lady’s plans, but Tuesday’s conversation also veered into uncomfortable territory. It was Obama’s largest public appearance since the 2016 election — speaking in front of more than 8,000 people at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s 30th anniversary celebration — and she touched on personal attacks that she faced again and again. Many had the same theme. “The shards that cut me the deepest were the ones that intended to cut,” Obama said, according to the Denver Post. “Knowing that after eight
Former House IT staffer Imran Awan was arrested Monday night at Dulles International Airport where he was "trying to leave the country," Fox news reported Tuesday evening. Following his arrest for bank fraud, Awan was finally fired by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. (Snip) Imran and his Pakistani-born brothers, Abid and Jamal Awan, are currently under criminal investigation by U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI on suspicion that they accessed congressional computers without permission and stole equipment. There is also evidence of "financial schemes that extend beyond the Capitol Police’s purview and may expand to Pakistan," according to The Daily
Monday on WISN’s “The Jay Weber Show,” Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) defended special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into Russian election interference by saying Mueller was “anything but” a “biased partisan.” A listener asked Ryan a question about why Republicans in Congress are not doing more to defend Trump against “what is becoming an obvious witch-hunt.” Ryan replied, “Remember, Bob Mueller is a Republican, who was appointed by a Republican, who served in the Republican administration, and crossed over — I mean and stayed on until his term ended.” He continued, “I don’t think many people are saying Bob
Sticky-fingered socialist Bernie Sanders is apparently stealing his neighbor´s Washington Post subscription, as any good socialist might do. In perhaps the funniest and most fitting news of the year, WMAL radio host Chris Plante told his audience of a story he heard from friends about the elderly senator. A man living next to Sanders apparently called the Post to complain that he was hardly ever receiving his subscription. After an investigation into the matter, the paying customer realized that it was his neighbor, Senator Sanders, who was stealing the paper right from under his nose. (Snip) First it was reported that
Let’s review a few recent developments. Last week, Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, resigned. This was part of a “White House shakeup” to get the Trump administration back on track. The new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, would fix the White House’s “messaging problem.” Within 24 hours of Scaramucci’s appointment, the president returned to Twitter and unloaded another torrent of political bombshells, including talking about his power to pardon, even as his attorneys were denying that Donald Trump was thinking about pardoning anyone.
President Donald Trump’s dramatic decision to exclude so-called “transgender” people from the military is a direct rejection of the progressives’ revolutionary demand that Americans’ society should be remade to eliminate all civic recognition of the two different-and-complementary male and female sexes. (Tweets) The Wednesday decision was greeted with anger from the left, which had hoped that the military’s 2016 endorsement of the transgender ideology would push the Supreme Court and legislators nationwide to impose and establish the unpopular claim that a person’s changeable choice of “gender” is more legally important than their biological sex. If endorsed by the courts, that
